The thing i dont like about this game, is because the fight before this is just a normal fight.. then this happens.. it just fucks you right up without any hesitation.
some fights like the Avery's mansion i had to use infinite just to keep my sanity. it did not negate the challenge it just relieved the pressure of running out of ammo.

They cant account for each player's skill. Have you ever played Mario Maker? Same deal. As long as you can complete the level, you can upload it for others to play it. This part is *RIDICULOUSLY* difficult on Crushing. It really needs a checkpoint between the time where you clear the first wave of enemies and when the two hunters and brutes show up. It's really unfair how you have to start all over from the beginning when you die.
@@jabariwiththebois5765 I remember having fun with 3 on nightmare, a lot of it because I felt it was already too easy on normal, and I didn't bother with hard difficulty. Idk I think the set pieces in 3 were also more manageable compared to 4 which is just chaotic.

Holy fuck, I just made it. As for the gas mask fuckers. I shot one with the barok 44 pistol, while hanging from the cliff and almost died beating the shit out of the second one. In something like a 40 seconds fistfight, while that fucking sniper kept aiming at me.
exactly. those fuckers are tough as hell, they can take two shots from the insta-kill revolver. they always hold you and by the time you've started mashing triangle you've already been shot to death by the other guys.
It's not even fun. It's just unfair, and infuriating. The grenade spam, mixed with their perfect aim. Nate isn't exactly the easiest character to to control and get into correct cover. FFS.
It's horrible, I love a good challenge, but this has more to do with luck then skill, I spent hours trying to beat this one part. Not just this part either, many of the gun fights
This part was too easy, removing the checkpoint really wasn't enough, I wish Naughty Dog would have thrown in some more enemies when the two armored mini gun dudes, the armored snipers, the grenade launcher spammer and the running guys appear like, I don't know maybe a couple AC-130s and some Metal Gears. I completed the first three Uncharted games on crushing with not that many problems, 4 was being the easiest until the Avery mansion shootout, after that the game just got stupid, this part being the worst example. Special mentions to the explosive mummys lottery and the shotgun guy that literally spawns behind you after the first shootout in the tunnels.
lol the shotgun guy in the tunnel must have been a prank of the devs. Like: "ya know what would be funny? Sending the shotgun guy behind the player while he is too busy dealing with the entire shoreline"
I got stuck on Avery's Mansion for a while, after attempting it so many times I made a strategy for myself and I eventually beat it after 15+ tries. But almost all of the fight scenarios in this Uncharted are mostly luck based when it comes to ammo, and the type of weapons you have.
I did, thanks for asking thanks to a speedrunner's method consisting at first in hiding inside the first ship to take down the first ennemies (quite safe method and some weak guys come to you so you can take their ammo) letting the snipers and one ennemy alive in order not to trigger the second wave (with the armoured dudes and that absolute fucker with his gas mask that can hold you for ages so you can be killed faster). Then I took one of the exploding barrel to where the second wave comes out, finshed the remaining ennemies with two grenades, refilling my grenades and throwing them at the barrel which deals massive damage and kill simultaneously the two brutes and the gas mask asshole. Then it was fun killing the remaining ennemies with one the two dropped machine -guns.
Tried this like 20, 30 times on crushing and keep making it to the mid second wave. I was ready to put my fist through a wall, but after watching this I beat it in one heart attack inducing attempt. While this part can burn in hell, you sir are awesome.
isn't that the point of it being the 'crushing' difficulty? if you got loads of checkpoints the game would be piss easy, if you can't do it, don't moan just do an easier difficulty

I either get hit by a grenade or I get into a fistfight, but you can still take damage, so it puts me at the point where one bullet could kill me, so once I'm able to move, I get shot and I die. Fuck Crushing, but I'm getting this goddamn trophy.
well,em... enemy grenades kind of quicken ur reaction time and so no one can stick to a cover forever.xd. i do enjoy the sayings of enemies when i use my own grenades. grenaaaade!!! and oh,shit!. the one i do enjoy the most is when enemies scream ' go!go!go!go!go!.xd
Finally someone who mentioned this problem too ! They gave this game a 92 % rating but I would give it 5 to 10 % less because of this . If you play it on crushing every millisecond counts and if you re running and want to roll behind a barrier but Nate then leans on a wall instead or the other way around you ' re fucked . I died countless times because of this - not only in this chapter . In hectic situations under pressure when they shoot on you from every angle it happened to me so often . It ' s really infuriating because it has nothing to do with your skill as a player

I fucking love this game. But wow this mission and just one other mission in chapter 14 I think. It's like they made these missions so you question your fucking sanity! Hours just to hit a single CHECKPOINT!!!!
Took me like five days to beat it. I did pretty much the same thing but with a little twist. I found a blind spot where you can stay unharmed for as long as you want. It's on the left side of the ship, close to the rock (look for the bushes 1:48). After clearing the first wave, head over there and hang off of the side of the ship. Make sure to get as close to the rock as possible. That way you won't get shot and can stay there in absolute safety. Once you get there, wait for the two brutes to show up. Take them out one by one with your handgun. I recommend using the yellow gun (the one that sits on top of a crate located in front of the sniper hideout 1:39). Make sure to grab it after you clear the first wave Also, be sure to pick up the yellow assault rifle. You can find it at the back of the wooden structure in the middle of the ship (the one that has multiple exits in it 0:18). Basically, it works like this: you wait for the brutes to get close to you (don't worry, they'll never get too close), and then you alternate throwing the grenades with shooting the handgun. Be careful not to get shot when you peek out! In fact, you don't even have to waste your grenades on the brutes. Two carefully placed shots to the head will take care of each of them. After the brutes have been dealt with, do as Zombie1488 did and you'll be fine. Oh, one more thing: it's absolutely crucial that you dispose of those two (or three?) masked guys before you climb down. I suggest taking them out with your assault rifle or grenades. Also, NEVER climb down before killing the snipers (and I mean every single one of them) and the guy with a grenade launcher. Good luck :)
I finally got this. The thing that annoys me the most in uncharted 4 's crushing, is the limited ammo. Uncharted 1-3 was fun and challenging on crushing without having you count every bullet. Gameplay mechanics like that belongs in the last of us, not uncharted IMHO.
Dude, took me years to do this, gave up trying to beat it on crushing (and the whole game) and only played it on and off until finally just sitting down after 4ish years to defeat the only game to have beat me. A couple tips: at the back left corner of the deck where the snipers and the red hat guy are, there is an explosive barrel (it isn't visable from the starting position but you would see it if you moved to that area) that if you try and shoot at it VERY early on - like the first 2 seconds as soon as the round starts - it will blow you and take out the unarmoured sniper and the red hat, and also weaken the armoured sniper to the point where 1 grenade would take care of him (where it would normally take 2)and he loses the helmet and if 2 open for a headshot. That's the 2 (+ one more guy) snipers taken care of. When you finished the second wave, you can take cover on the sand beach behind the unnecessary rock rhct separates the floor of the ground deck. There will be a baradock gun (the golden icon gun when it shows up at the bottom left) that you can use to take care of those annoying marine mask guys that run up to you and put you in a choke hold (the baradock kills 1 per 2 shots). If you lure one of the machine gun armour guys close enough towards you, the will be 2 explosive barrels that he'll walk right towards, if you through two grenades at them the explosion will be equal to 4 grenades, enough to kill the first guy. If you had 4 grenades prior to killing the first machine gun guy, you will have 2 more left plus 1 more that should be lying nearby. The second guy will be close behind the first, you need to throw all 3 grenades at him, not enough to kill but it will take off his helmet, from there he'll be close enough for an easy headshot. Those are the biggest obstacles out of the way, the rest should be easy pickings
Used your method for the first and second wave. But instead of taking the mini-gun, I used the barok and sniped the last 5 of them. Solid effort, took me about 50 times.
It's about time we rise against developers' sadism. I made one perfect playthrough, only had 37 ammo for the Uzi and no primary weapon. Took all them out, grabbed the barok, had a full rifle but the end of the 2nd wave, only the 2 heavy machine gunners were left and I was comfortably camping on the cliff only to die because Nathan didn't grab the ledge to shimmy and start all over again. I'm sorry to say this but Devs are NOT entitled to players' time. Video games are the only industry in which honest feedback is sent back and there's customer shaming everywhere ('git gud'). You don't see that in hotels, in cars, in movies. This is not entertaining, it's just brutal. There are so many broken things about this game: stealth, AI, the control system. You don't have to program the perfect game, just five the player the ability to savestate. It is our right to choose whether to use it or not. I'm NOT competing against anyone, I just wanna collect trophies. This is brutal and not at all entertaining.
When I first bought this game, I worked night shift so on my days I didn't work, I would get up around 6:00 p.m. and stay up until 4:00 in the morning because that was my schedule. I remember I was playing crushing and was doing okay until I reached this part. I got stuck one night and then decided to give it a few days and then come back to it. I played this goddamn part from around 10:00 p.m. until the sun came up and still hadn't beat It yet. When I saw the sky start to turn light gray, I was so frustrated that I whipped my controller across my room and ended up breaking it. at that point I just gave up trying to beat the game on crushing because this part was too much.
Finally beat it!! The bit jumping into the water, then climbing into the boat helped the most...........probably wouldn’t have sussed that out if I hadn’t seen this vid, so many thanks! Still took a few goes, but got there in the end.
I 'd argue that the mansion battle is a little harder than this. This at least has some cheese. I was stuck on that chapter 18 mansion for a little under a year. I quit and thought I would never beat it. The tunnels with the mummies had some cheese and wasn't too bad, and I just got to this section in the video. I can clear the first wave fine, but the second wave is a little hard to manage.
The fact that you go in the first time on the side of the boat got me a good advice aside with the going back on the hills in the middle of the wave , thanks 👍
the worse part is i was aware that this was gonna be ridiculous at crushing so i saved up ammo, i had 85 rounds on my arx and 10 barok shots and 4 grenades i managed to get far killing the first wave and only had the two machine gun guys left and those stupid mask guys who grab you. i freaking got grabbed by one of them cuz for some damn reason the barok didn't one shot him and when he grabbed me they threw a nade so i couldn't move. then i died and guess what? I RETSARTED ALL THE WAY BACK AND WITHOUT MY AMMO THIS TIME
Everybody gangsta till you play chapter 20 on crushing. gosh I was stuck for 3 hours I was so mad I almost gave up platinum thank god this walkthrough saved me I was tired when the miniguns came I was so legit angry they didn't gave me a checkpoint oh boy Btw this is the biggest comment I've ever written lol
god thank you so much!!! i couldn't figure out good pathing that both provides enough ammo to get the job done, and more importantly, a path that reduces the amount of gunfire you sustain because JEEZ!! i know a few areas of this game have been annoying in crushing, but this was something else entirely- thanks so damn much!!
maybe this and the marooned encounter when you dont have a weapon at start and before you remeet with sam, these 2 are my nightmares, but thanks to you im over this one after 3 weeks, i liked and subbed and again thank you

I got platinum on Uncharted 1, 2, and 3. I don't think it's going to happen on this one because I absolutely cannot clear this level on hard. I'm almost ready to drop it down to moderate or even light. So damn frustrating.
Thanks for the video. I used your method on the first part jumping down to the ships mid section. I then killed one of the heavy gunners with two grenades and then a head shot and took the LMG from them. I used the LMG and destroyed the remaining.
did this part using your guide the first time through. played it on crushing for my second time and used the bonus, snagged an org and blew them up every time. now that's what i call easy lol
Great way to beat this part! Had to try it around 3 times, but after picking off the first snipers its easy! Just make sure you save your grenades for the heavy armoured enemies when you climb back up. And there are 2 hunters, one caught me when I went back down luckily there were no other enemies.
After 2 whole weeks of attempting, I tried this technique and completed it on the first try. I was ready to give up completely. Thank you, you beautiful man
So the mummy at 0:45 doesn't explode anymore when it's supposed to. The way go now is to go up to the mummy at that timestamp RIGHT AFTER the rock and then dodge roll to the center statue and stand on the side with the tattered cloth. There will be many explosions around you but this is the best way.
Respect to mad dog for putting out levels like this and people still calling it a masterpiece 😂 I just finished the game on crushing. The girl on this level is the most annoying character I’ve ever witnessed, she does nothing in the fights but shield the enemies and just screams you name when you die 💀. At least it’s over now ffs only took me 2 hours 😬
You know what the stupid thing about this GODDAMN MOTHER OF A STAGE is? There are three checkpoints, I remember them from easy mode. They're the start of the stage, the staircase leading to the snipers, and the wrecked ship at the end of the alley. You don't have time or ammo to kill anyone but, it won't give you a checkpoint until you kill a decent amount of men.
Been struggling with this for a good week changed to your way and within an hour I did it, although when the armoured guys came they didn’t walk the way across so I stay up at the top on the grass.

problem with this part, I don't have enough ammo to build a skyscraper, but I didn't come this far not to get the SILVER trophy
I finally got this. The thing that annoys me the most in uncharted 4 's crushing, is the limited ammo. Uncharted 1-3 was fun and challenging on crushing without having you count every bullet. Gameplay mechanics like that belongs in the last of us, not uncharted IMHO.
Dude, took me years to do this, gave up trying to beat it on crushing (and the whole game) and only played it on and off until finally just sitting down after 4ish years to defeat the only game to have beat me. A couple tips: at the back left corner of the deck where the snipers and the red hat guy are, there is an explosive barrel (it isn't visable from the starting position but you would see it if you moved to that area) that if you try and shoot at it VERY early on - like the first 2 seconds as soon as the round starts - it will blow you and take out the unarmoured sniper and the red hat, and also weaken the armoured sniper to the point where 1 grenade would take care of him (where it would normally take 2)and he loses the helmet and if 2 open for a headshot. That's the 2 (+ one more guy) snipers taken care of. When you finished the second wave, you can take cover on the sand beach behind the unnecessary rock rhct separates the floor of the ground deck. There will be a baradock gun (the golden icon gun when it shows up at the bottom left) that you can use to take care of those annoying marine mask guys that run up to you and put you in a choke hold (the baradock kills 1 per 2 shots). If you lure one of the machine gun armour guys close enough towards you, the will be 2 explosive barrels that he'll walk right towards, if you through two grenades at them the explosion will be equal to 4 grenades, enough to kill the first guy. If you had 4 grenades prior to killing the first machine gun guy, you will have 2 more left plus 1 more that should be lying nearby. The second guy will be close behind the first, you need to throw all 3 grenades at him, not enough to kill but it will take off his helmet, from there he'll be close enough for an easy headshot. Those are the biggest obstacles out of the way, the rest should be easy pickings

Once you hit the Avery Mansion Crushing difficulty turns to fucking near impossible difficulty like wtf man 😂
Used your method for the first and second wave. But instead of taking the mini-gun, I used the barok and sniped the last 5 of them. Solid effort, took me about 50 times.
Måns Martinson I never grab the mini gun because I have terrible aim and they always kill me when I use it on Crushing.
It's about time we rise against developers' sadism. I made one perfect playthrough, only had 37 ammo for the Uzi and no primary weapon. Took all them out, grabbed the barok, had a full rifle but the end of the 2nd wave, only the 2 heavy machine gunners were left and I was comfortably camping on the cliff only to die because Nathan didn't grab the ledge to shimmy and start all over again.
I'm sorry to say this but Devs are NOT entitled to players' time. Video games are the only industry in which honest feedback is sent back and there's customer shaming everywhere ('git gud'). You don't see that in hotels, in cars, in movies. This is not entertaining, it's just brutal. There are so many broken things about this game: stealth, AI, the control system. You don't have to program the perfect game, just five the player the ability to savestate. It is our right to choose whether to use it or not. I'm NOT competing against anyone, I just wanna collect trophies. This is brutal and not at all entertaining.
When I first bought this game, I worked night shift so on my days I didn't work, I would get up around 6:00 p.m. and stay up until 4:00 in the morning because that was my schedule. I remember I was playing crushing and was doing okay until I reached this part. I got stuck one night and then decided to give it a few days and then come back to it.
I played this goddamn part from around 10:00 p.m. until the sun came up and still hadn't beat It yet. When I saw the sky start to turn light gray, I was so frustrated that I whipped my controller across my room and ended up breaking it. at that point I just gave up trying to beat the game on crushing because this part was too much.
If your ammo/grenade situation is bad, restart the chapter from chapter select. You'll have 32 rds of Para, 60 rds of assault rifle, and two grenades.
this really helped me out.... it was still hard but thank you so much..... i was seriously considering not finishing the game !!!
Finally beat it!! The bit jumping into the water, then climbing into the boat helped the most...........probably wouldn’t have sussed that out if I hadn’t seen this vid, so many thanks! Still took a few goes, but got there in the end.
This chapter single handedly ruined a good game, I traded it in after spending hours trying to beat this horrible level

One problem... I start with one clip of useless Uzi, no ammo for the second weapon and zero grenades... Can't to anything at all...
Restart the encounter, kill the first two enemies and grab their grenades. You can also get some HS39 ammo from the first enemy.
i hate how in uncharted 4 they don't give you much ammo in the other uncharted on crushing i was able to get more ammo

The first wave is pretty easy on crushing but when the two brutes come in that’s when it becomes extremely frustrating
I 'd argue that the mansion battle is a little harder than this. This at least has some cheese. I was stuck on that chapter 18 mansion for a little under a year. I quit and thought I would never beat it. The tunnels with the mummies had some cheese and wasn't too bad, and I just got to this section in the video. I can clear the first wave fine, but the second wave is a little hard to manage.

I happened to start this section with 40 bullets in an Uzi, no grenades, and one shotgun shell. Took me fucking forever.

the worse part is i was aware that this was gonna be ridiculous at crushing so i saved up ammo, i had 85 rounds on my arx and 10 barok shots and 4 grenades i managed to get far killing the first wave and only had the two machine gun guys left and those stupid mask guys who grab you. i freaking got grabbed by one of them cuz for some damn reason the barok didn't one shot him and when he grabbed me they threw a nade so i couldn't move. then i died and guess what? I RETSARTED ALL THE WAY BACK AND WITHOUT MY AMMO THIS TIME

gosh I was stuck for 3 hours I was so mad I almost gave up platinum thank god this walkthrough saved me I was tired when the miniguns came I was so legit angry they didn't gave me a checkpoint oh boy

I got platinum on Uncharted 1, 2, and 3. I don't think it's going to happen on this one because I absolutely cannot clear this level on hard. I'm almost ready to drop it down to moderate or even light. So damn frustrating.

Thanks for the video. I used your method on the first part jumping down to the ships mid section. I then killed one of the heavy gunners with two grenades and then a head shot and took the LMG from them. I used the LMG and destroyed the remaining.
After a few takes, I only got it!!!

did this part using your guide the first time through. played it on crushing for my second time and used the bonus, snagged an org and blew them up every time. now that's what i call easy lol

Took about 30 tries or more, but I got through this bitch. Now I’m gonna go back on easy and teach this game a lesson about manners.
Great way to beat this part! Had to try it around 3 times, but after picking off the first snipers its easy! Just make sure you save your grenades for the heavy armoured enemies when you climb back up. And there are 2 hunters, one caught me when I went back down luckily there were no other enemies.

So the mummy at 0:45 doesn't explode anymore when it's supposed to. The way go now is to go up to the mummy at that timestamp RIGHT AFTER the rock and then dodge roll to the center statue and stand on the side with the tattered cloth. There will be many explosions around you but this is the best way.

I just finished the game on crushing. The girl on this level is the most annoying character I’ve ever witnessed, she does nothing in the fights but shield the enemies and just screams you name when you die 💀.
At least it’s over now ffs only took me 2 hours 😬

You know what the stupid thing about this GODDAMN MOTHER OF A STAGE is? There are three checkpoints, I remember them from easy mode. They're the start of the stage, the staircase leading to the snipers, and the wrecked ship at the end of the alley. You don't have time or ammo to kill anyone but, it won't give you a checkpoint until you kill a decent amount of men.

Been struggling with this for a good week changed to your way and within an hour I did it, although when the armoured guys came they didn’t walk the way across so I stay up at the top on the grass.
Completely overlooked the fact that those big guys with the guns can't climb, blew my literal mind
