The turtle pies were hands down the greatest things ever as a kid. They need to bring those back

I lived in a tiny middle of nowhere town but those turtle pies still made it to our tiny grocery store and me and my sister gobbled them up! We would also sometimes go to work with my mom in the nearest city mostly to listen for the ice cream truck and run out and buy some turtle ice pops! Cowabunga! Thanks for the memories, Ed!

Over in the UK, we had Marshmallow and Nutella pizzas sold by ASDA (Wal Mart's UK name)
You missed out on the Ninja Turtles Ice Cream Gumball treats, they were actually pretty good!
In the USA of course, but I was very young at the time.
They had Ninja Turtles, Mario, Link, Zelda, some other popular game stuff but I didn't pay attention, I think I saw Mr. T. if I am not mistaken.

Saw the title and immediately thought of the Hostess TMNT pies. OMG those shits were so good lol.
Idk how this showed up in my recommendation, knowing that I have never searched for anything related to TMNT on UA-cam. Growing as a kid in the late 80’s, this brought a tear to my eye. I remember 75% of the items in your video. You have a grown man in his 30’s in tears (nostalgia) from seeing childhood snacks. Liked and subscribed !

Lots of memories here. Particularly the puddin pies. I remember it like it was yesterday being at the IGA with my Grandma and Grandpa and they bought one for me and I remembered back then it was really good. Too bad they don't make something similar anymore. Also remember the Turtles shaped cookies and would have them after school when watching reruns of the old Batman TV show.
Wow. The pies were heavenly, the gummies I remember liking them, and I miss the ice pops including the new ones. I remember trying the pasta and thinking it was gross. I miss the pies so much.

they weren't rare at the time...but they were only planned as a 20-week promotion. So, as far as TMNT stuff goes, they were one of the most rare products.
Those microwavable turtle pizzas were amazing. They barely had any cheese, but it was the bread that was the treat.

I remember when I got the TMNT frozen pizzas as a kid, there was a Turtle mask printed on the back of the box that you could cut out and wear.

I was a sucker as a kid for anything turtles I drove my mom crazy for this stuff she never wanted me to eat all that junk and when she finally gave in I got so sick from all that sugar and junk learned my lesson lol.
Some of this was definitely not nutritious or meant for overuse 😅

The mini pizzas and the ice cream bars are what I remember the best, they served the ice cream bars at the elementary school I was at, along with those great Mickey Mouse bars.

The Ice Cream Truck had them around town when I was younger and all sorts of other video game characters around the late 80's to 80's when I was a young kid.
I had the Turtles Ice Cream with Gumballs in it, I absolutely loved it and they were rather big.

I used to LOVE the TMNT Ice Cream Bars when I was a kid. I only remember my local small-town grocery store having them for a very limited time, though. I can still remember where I was the first time I ate one of them. I completely forgot about those gummie things. I didn't really like them, but I ate them because I loved TMNT lol. I also remember getting those Cups from the cereal. I swear we had those things in the cabinet for 15-years. So nostalgic.

I was in high school and college in the 90's and I still bought and ate most of the items here. Everything but that Canadian cereal, pork rinds, McCain pizza and Royal gelatin. The net cereal was excellent, as were those amazing ooze pies and the apple cinnamon cookies that came in that little truck box you held up at the beginning.

I remember Ellio’s Pizza had cut our cards on the back of the box for the first movie. There was a also a Rocket Bomber ice bar with the 4 mask colors.

I remember in the late 80's to early 90's, when I was little, I would always see an ice cream truck and my parents would buy us popular Ice Cream snacks, the Turtles featured in this video was one of them!
They were rather big and of course, had gum as the eyeballs.
They had Mario, Zelda, Link, Turtles and some others I cannot remember, but, I saw it several times after and would get more but after that, I never saw it again.

i had the tmnt ice cream bar once when i was a kid, it was also the only time in my life i have got ice cream from an ice cream man truck. i remember it was great; so many years of my life are a blur but i remember that day because of the ice cream and my family went to visit a friend and we got to ride a boat on a lake so it was a very special day. this video hit me right in the nostalgia feels.
still waiting to see the tmnt metal trash can show up. still got it in my closet with my toys in it.

I remember eating the turtle pizzas exactly 30 years ago in the Christmas holidays. I remember the apple flavoured one. No-one my age that I've asked remembers them! Whenever I taste that fake apple flavour in sweets it reminds me of them.

I'm not a big fan of peanut butter kisses (PB flavored taffy), but I bought a large pack of them because it was in a lidded tin bucket covered in TMNT graphics. I still have a bunch of TMNT ephemera, like stickers, Pez dispensers, wrappers from the pudding pies, newspaper articles, Popsicle sticks, trading cards, and so on, stored in that tin.
The cereal bowl and color changing mug are somewhere in a kitchen cupboard, I think.
The cereal was basically rice chex with marshmallows and wasn't really my bag. The Crunchabungas were... awful, if I recall correctly. As to the pudding pies: The crust wasn't bad but, for me, that was a lot of vanilla pudding to slug down in one sitting.
It's been almost 20+ years and every now and then I almost shed a tear when I walk by the cereal aisle knowing ill never see it again. :'(

When you bought that Cookie Crisp with the turtle cup, the cups has a feature where the bandana would change color when you put a cold drink in them, from white to one of the four turtle's respective colors. Problem was, it was impossible to tell what cup was what turtle in the store, since the bandana as always white. So child me had the genius idea to take some frozen peas from the freezer and press them to every cup to make sure we got one of each turtle.

Here in Mexico we got Ninja Turtles' water ice popsicles. They came in two flavors: lemon, with a green envelope depicting the Turtles, and cola, with a purple envelope depecting Shredder and his minions. You traded the envelopes for stickers to put on a Ninja Turtles' sticker album (sold separately).

Back in the day my cousin brought from Canada a rather small box of mini cookies shaped like the turtle's face, but with bandana and defined features, unlike the ones in the video, also the illustrations on the box were like those on the back of the cards of the action figures.
Mate, you just reminded me of TMNT pizza. 🍕 that was really quite good and I totally looked forward to it on the weekend when my dad would buy them for me. I appreciate all your hard work about all the merchandising for these properties because it gets me excited about stuff from my childhood. Thanks again!

My local Foodtown supermarket back in the early 90s carried ninja turtle green wafer cookies. They were green frosted round wafer cookies that melted in your mouth. They were so good but I can never seem to find any record of them anywhere on any websites. But I definitely remember loving them.
Then there were the ninja turtle green apple gel ooze candy pops. It was like squeezing green candy gel through a tube in your mouth. Those were excellent too. Definitely had the pudding pies at my local hostess outlet. Definitely had the net cereal with marshmallows and the green ooze cereal topping. Ninja turtles had some of the best tie-in foods in the early 90's. Too bad Ralston cereals got sold. They made some tasty cereals in the 80s and 90s.
