Kringle and Voluspa are probably my two favorite candle brands. 👌🏻 I’m kind of bummed about the Country Candle line being discontinued, but I’m excited to see what newness we have in store! I’m not upset about the 3 wicks being discontinued. I just wasn’t a fan of the Bath & Body Works-looking jars. 😅 I’ve only tried one of Kringle’s 4 wicks, but it was amazing, and I’m excited to try more.
I think the changes will be good in the long run for Kringle but I get that many people are going to be disappointed. I think change can be good so I’m curious to see how things go!
I didn’t like “Warm and Toasty” there was a slight “liquor smoke” smell that was off putting to me but I’m pulling it out again to try it’s colder now so maybe it will smell different! I’m a Marshmallow fireside lover!
I thought I was the only one who didn't care for it. I picked up one Kringle tumbler and one pack of wax melts. I warmed the melts and it came off way more smoky than I expected. I thought it was going to be a good even mixture of smoke and marshmallow, which I know most people got, but my nose picked up too much smoke for my happiness. I was disappointed because I love a good smoky marshmallow and I was hoping I had found one in my favorite Kringle brand! Maybe I'm just sensitive to their smoke oils because I did not like that Bourbon Bonfire one either. Oh well, you can't win them all, right?
Yes, I could see the smoke note being tough for some. I really thought it made the scent more unique and interesting. Like a marshmallow fireside on steroids lol! Sorry you didn't care for it though. Always sucks to pick up a dud.
Thank you for sharing your faves with Kringle. I am puzzled about Sweet Cream though. I bought 2 because of your rave reviews. Mine are incredibly weak. Even in my bathroom with door shut, after burning 2 hours and a full pool of at least an inch, I had to put my nose over the candle to get any scent at all. I bought it to pair with Farmstand Strawberry in spring and summer, but it really doesn't add anything because it is so light. I am not the only one who has experienced this, as it has been mentioned In the Kringle fb group. 😢
We all perceive scent a little differently but all of my Sweet Creams have been incredibly strong. Most people I know have had the same experience. That being said I just reordered so I will update how the new one does when I light it. Kringle has had a couple of light ones for me this year. My biggest disappointment was Japanese Maple for sure in that department. Couldn't even really get it to go in the crock. Luckily it's not the norm.
That's Brett for you, not giving up on a friend to re-try a brand lol. I've enjoyed his honesty on YC reviews. Nice picks, even though I have no idea what they smell like lol. I'm burning WW's Evergreen Cashmere and HW 3-wick ribbed Cranberry Vanilla Frost, nice scent, just not a powerhouse.
Great faves and non-faves! Kringle is my favorite candle company. I am so sad to see that the 3-wicks are going away because IMO, they are superior to those of BBW and GC, but I'm sure it's a hard fought candle game. So, I'm sitting back and seeing what changes shall transpire. I do hope they move many of the gourmand scents on the Country side of things over to the Kringle jars.
Very curious to see all the changes come to be as well. I do like change. I like to always have my favorites but it is nice to see new and innovative things!
She really loved it!!!!!! I know she misses her mother terribly. Watching my mom lose her mom was one of the hardest things I had to witness. Oma Susanna was one of the most lovely human beings and I loved being able to honor her with the candle.
Last year was my first year in the candle hobby. Favorites 1. Cozy Christmas 2. Harvest Moon 3. Golden Tobacco 4. Reserve Orange Worst 1. Easter Lemon Marshmallow- Not my scent preference 2. Blueberry Muffin- not for me 3. Mango wax melt- scentless
This was the Kringle video I really looked forward to seeing. No surprises on your faves & least fave. Not sure how you managed to pare it down to just 5. I’ve also done a year end review. My 2024 Kringle favorites: 1) Reserve Orange (most purchased); 2) Cypress & Cinnamon; 3) Frosted Spice; 4) Reserve Gingered Peach; 5) Essentials 3 wick (too weak in 2 wick). Least fave: Jellybean Jubilee (could not get the black licorice smell off my hands, nose, etc-lol). Looking forward to great scents in 2025. I really hope Kringle keeps their medium jar, which is most of my collection. Thank you for sharing, Melanie! R🍁
Honestly this was a tough one. So many I could have put in here just new from 2024, not to mention all the long times faves. They really have some incredible scents! Thanks for sharing yours!
My #1 Kringle for 2024 was the limited edition large Country Candle Banana Bread. I went back repeatedly for that one and last I checked it's gone from the site now. Easter Brunch was a close at 2nd
Hey Mel. I was, and still am, one of the people very upset by the fact that Kringle has decided to discontinue the 3-wick line and the Country line. I think the problem came from the fact that this was just very casually "announced" by Mick in a one line post in the FB group, without telling everyone what the replacements would be. So to all of us regular customers who are not ambassadors, we were led to believe that these lines are being discontinued, bam, full stop. Why wasn't a proper announcement made with also giving some indication as to what will replace these lines? I thought that it was a terrible way to handle the situation from Kringle. Personally, I have no issue with the discontinuation of the Country line as I feel that the jar style is outdated, and I don't get good strength and throw from those candles. That said, I'm very upset about the 3-wicks going away, and I made a post about this in the group, which garnered a ton of reactions and responses. The 3 wicks suit many people in terms of size of the candle, price point and burn time. And then bam, just to see a one liner to say "get yours now because they're going away" wasn't good enough, and it made people upset. I'm not personally interested in having to spend more and more money with Kringle for larger and larger sizes of candles, because their candles don't throw. Anyway, I still feel pretty p!ssed! 🤣. PS - also hoping that we see more gourmands from Kringle this year because man alive, they do them so well. In my opinion, better than Homeworx. Some of my all time favorite gourmands come from Kringle. They are more complex than Homeworx, where I find the gourmands to be very one dimensional. Hugs to you!
I suspect Kringle is going to make a comparable candle to a 3 wick in a jar with matching labels to the 2 wicks and 4 wicks. I suspect he is going to just streamline his products to look cohesive. He has seen the complaints on the country regarding sooty top of jars in spite of using all soy, and less strength and throw. Different jar shape, and possibly sticking to white wax, but keeping the scents around that have proved popular. This is just my guess. I agree completely that he should give his customers more information regarding the changes he plans to make.
@lindabjorkman3872 Thanks for that comment. What you say makes sense. I would love a 3 wick candle in the style of the current Kringle jars. That would make me very happy. 😁
I am so glad you are sharing your perspective! I’m so sorry you felt blindsided. I know that Kringle is trying to create the most cohesive candle collection and in order to achieve that they will need to make changes and that indeed does suck for those that enjoy the current product. I know how it feels to lose a product you really love. I'm not sure Kringle expected people to be as attached to some of these items being discontinued as they did. I am sure the decisions also coincide with what sells the best. Making changes as a company is never easy. I remember when I increased my floral rates as my skill and quality increased as the years went on. I lost some older customers (many wedding clients would go on to use me for other events in their lives) but gained even more with the changes I made and it made my business more profitable for me at the time. People saw more value in what I did as I grew. While I loved creating flowers, in the end it was a job that had to pay my bills. Changing things as an owner is never easy but hopefully Kringle will start giving everyone some more sneaks on what is to come. Transparency is key obviously and good communication is a must so hopefully we get some info soon with details! With my transition to more quality over quantity the change won't affect me too much spending wise which is good since I have such good luck with the vast majority of Kringles, especially the new 4 wick size. All that being said, so many wonderful companies out there! I have a few I am looking into as I want to share them. They are smaller operations.
# 1 for me this year.. CARNAGE. 😂🤣 I actually built up quite the stash of them because I’m sure it won’t be back again ever. It embodies the spirit of Halloween perfectly. But your speech about it cracked me up!! 😂 #2 Smoke and Oak #3 Speakeasy. I really do hope Kringle will continue the Carnage type train to release another slam dunk like it this year for Halloween. 🎃 👻
Oh that Smoke and Oak and Speakeasy as well as Skull and Sonnet were incredible!!!!!! I could have tossed so many more scents into this video. Carnage is definitely a vibe..... a scary one lol! Glad you enjoyed it! If you lived closer I would have given you mine ha!
I’m no longer on Facebook so missing all the chatter on what’s going on with candle brands. I struggle with performance in the two wick Kringle but did I love Coral, Warm and Toasty and Easter brunch. Least favorite was Skull & Sonnet and Pumpkin Spice Latte.
I know, I was really shocked I didn’t like it but had something that came across sharp and cologne like and I prefer a smoother perfumey scent profile.
I really didn’t try anything “new” in 2024. In fact I abstained from ordering until just after Christmas and with that order I bought mostly my old favorites- Sicilian Orange, essentials, Fiji, Mon amore because they were still in stock in the 3 wick and I can burn them now. I did grab cypress cinnamon and Christmas stroll too which are new to me but I won’t burn them until the holidays (2025). On cold sniff I really liked them though.
I absolutely want to get some of the 4 wick candles but I can't find any reviews on them. I always try to watch a review first, they're out of the jelly donut but that's okay because I have a few backups of that one anyway I just wondered how that vanilla waffle cone I think it's called I'd like to try that one but I can't find any reviews on it even the macaron, macaroon macaroni 😂. I'm hoping now that the holidays are over they'll start throwing some reviews up for that one. My favorites from Pringle for sure are the jelly donut the sprinkled macaron macaroon macaroni, sweet cream and do you know what I love and I only have a half of one left Is the blackberry buttercream (I So hope they bring this fragrance back I love love love it and it would be great if they put it in a four wick. Can you kind of put that in Kringles ear 😊) And I really love the morning marshmallow. Have a great evening Melanie oh and yes my beloved blueberry muffin, That's another one that would be magnificent in a 4 wick IMO 😊
So far I have only burned the Christmas in the 4 wick, but I ordered Macarons and Jelly Donut! They should be here shortly and I cannot wait to buy more of the 4 wicks.
Best candle was butter rum cafe. Biggest disappointment was the almond butter cookie. I did not like the warm & toasty candle. It was too smoky for me.
Oh yes! That one almost made my worst scent as well. The smokey aspect is something I personally really liked with Warm and Toast but I could see it not being everyone's fave for sure!
So funny I hate lavender too but absolutely love Christmas Time In The City!
Just bought Macarons, Jelly Doughnut, and Sweet Cream based on your recommendation.... Hope I love them!
I am sure you will love them! Those are some of my favorites! They are incredible scents ❤️

I am really starting to enjoy Kringle. My absolute favorite that I have tried is knit sweaters.
That's a good one! Cozy!

Brett certainly knows his stuff!
@@MrKongsMom So I've noticed, quite knowledgeable in it. Would be great in knowing more about this candle world.

What did your mom say about Vintage Pomander? Did she burn one? I wondered where it was to honor her own mother. It must have been special.
She really loved it!!!!!! I know she misses her mother terribly. Watching my mom lose her mom was one of the hardest things I had to witness. Oma Susanna was one of the most lovely human beings and I loved being able to honor her with the candle.

I just ordered the reserve orange today, I am so glad to see this 😊
