I was actually upset about the moderators. They allowed Trump more time to talk and unmuted his mic when he was talking with it muted. If anything, it seemed to be rigged against Harris. Not our fault that he used the extra time to make a fool of himself.

I watched this and Trump constantly asked for the opportunity to follow up after Kamala's answers. He had more than enough opportunity to put his case and he failed.

At the same time, she wasn't combative. She was poised, focused, and presidential. I was a little worried that she'd stumble out of the gate, but I began to feel more at ease when I learned of the extent of her preparations and the lack of his preparations. I still worry about Republican dirty tricks, but all of my concerns about her performance have been sent to bed. She knocked it out of the park. Go Kamala!

Last I checked lying isn't allowed in a debate, such as states where they legalize murdering babies after birth that Trump uttered.
In fact I'd say the debate is unfair because Harris was cut off by the moderators twice and wasn't allowed to retort and Trump is 9 minutes overtime in his debate, you cannot argue against math.

The plan that he does have is also terrible. Trying to make China pay your taxes by levying import tariffs really means you don't understand fairly basic economics. Importers pay extra, they pass on those costs to consumers, who then buy less, decreasing demand from the USA. Demand thus drops, and gets compensated by a degree of lower production from China, and/or slightly lower prices for the rest of the world who don't have those import tariffs. It would be a slightly better position if the USA applied those tariffs only to products that they were the dominant buyer of. But the current deal means that USA consumer will just pay more so that the rest of the world can pay slightly less; ow yeah, and those import tariffs are effectively taxes, so it's not completely wasted. On the other hand, China is negatively affected, doesn't appreciate, and thus a tariff war gets started. That doesn't happen necessarily, but if history is an indicator, there's a good chance. As a European, I say, go for it! As a fellow human being, just don't elect Trump, please? For yourself, _and_ the world.
