Palpation:- a) Inspiratory and expiratory Chest circumference using measuring tape. AP Diameter b) Chest Movement:- Bimanual examination. Check whether equal movement on both sides of hands with respiration. To be checked in all zones in chest & back. c) Trachea positioning palpate. Look for trail sign d) Position of Apex Beat:- Palpate 5th IC Space. Ulnar border to be placed; point finger on apex beat where maximum impulse felt. e) Pulse/ RR ratio f) TVF:- Using Ulnar border palpate at IC space bilaterally while patient says 1-1-1. Move hand to other side after every 1-1-1 series end. In both back and chest this is to be done.
