Honestly once i grinded out all Soviet Union mbts and zsu 37 2 i lost all the motivation to play the game. I have some other vechicles left to unlock but i know if i did i wouldnt enjoy it more than i do now. The grind is what makes you play, and also what makes you hate the game
I know, my friend can consistently pen the mantlet of a Panther and when I do it in a IS-2 (with the best. shell), it completely eats it the round with no repercussions
@@fabiandialer1715 my friend runs the same line up too and what not, still kills panther through mantlet. Mines a gamble, and 80% of the time, even on the least angled part of mantlet, wont go through
2:32 in eastern europe we call this РПУ (Режим Персонального Угнетения) which means personal oppression mode. it's when your shells constantly don't pen and bounce when they're supposed to pen and other stuff like that. there's a theory that if a player does too good, gaijin enables the mode (also if a player does too bad, gaijin enables the mode in a way, that every other players will be РПУ'd towards the player that does bad)
dont worry, I ghost shelled 3 times in a row on a single tank and non penned on the side of a T-34-85 cuz it touched the wooden box that rests on one of the track covers. POM is def real
I was getting frustrated so I went to another tech tree to grind and low tier truly is just so much more fun. You don't get sniper across the map at the start of a game, don't get rocketed by helicopters from 5km away, and every tank is pretty much viable

The last one is a known issue that works this way. When you hit two armor plates in between their joints that means you hit the spot a 150mm and 200mm plate Connect each other their armor equivalent will add up meaning it's over 350mm of armor you hit there. Volumetric armor fixes that.
I still remember to this day when a hit from an enemy tank touched the .50 cal on my tank and destroyed me. There was no explosion or magic JFK bullet that went into my tank. The round hit the .50cal and ricocheted into the sky but still caused me to blow up instantly. edit: Mind you the .50cal was on the top of my tank and only attached by the pole or essentially the only part that connects the .50cal to the tank but allows the gunner to swivel the gun.

That first clip is such a mood - I don't know if they fixed it, but you can get a bomb lodged in the exhaust of both Buccaneers by flying upside-down, dropping your bombs, and trying to nudge it into the area of the landing gear, and it affects flight performance. If you get shot, it's an absolutely massive explosion.

Had a allied KV tank somehow accidentally exploded his gun barrel near me and the blast instantly vaporized my tank crew.......and he also somehow magically killed a enemy at the same time edit I was talking about how back than you can legit shot and kill your teammates with your gun but they updated that although we can still Arty kill our own allied thou.

This game is literal pain. Got one shot in an Is2 the other day by a tiger who shot from point blank in front of me, down into my right track, the shell ricochets twice before going through my ufp.
Reminds me of a hail mary shot I made with one of the low velocity ww2 cannons. Couldn't actually see them but I could see their shots coming from over the hill at some ally tanks and was actually able to figure out his location from his shots and drop a shell on top of him without ever seeing him or getting a marker on his location.
Watching an ultra dense supersonic dart made from depleted uranium disappear into thin air because it hit a 5mm sheet of aluminum at an angle greater than 10 degrees.
War thunder is honestly the most frustrating game I've ever played. The inconsistency of everything makes you want to gouge your eyes out.
