    This is fantastic! Before, the idea of a same-day edit or even a next day edit was so daunting. It clearly is doable. Thanks!
    My only question is: do you ever worry about using all (or at least alot) of your best shots for this edit, leaving the final highlight film not as surprising or as epic?

    • @HowToFilmWeddings
      @HowToFilmWeddings  3 роки тому +2

      Great question!
      I do not worry about it. This is an edit to blow them away/get them excited. I want to use some of the best footage in this teaser to get them excited. Think about it like a movie trailer - they intentionally put the best stuff in those so people WANT to go see the movie. Same idea here.

    Incredibly useful tutorial with no fuss. Appreciate it! I just wonder, and I know this is 2 years old at this point, but why don't you colour correct using the RGB Waveform or Parade? Regardless, this is about time-saving so I do understand. Thanks again!

    Id really like to try a same day edit but only when I can afford a very fast computer that can rip through 4K like it’s nothing. Perhaps it would be an idea to hand the couple the SDE and then deliver the full film in a couple weeks time once you can sit down and build their story. Thanks so much for this video, very helpful!

    Thank you so much for this video, it was extremely helpful! Do you shoot your footage in raw or log?

    • @HowToFilmWeddings
      @HowToFilmWeddings  3 роки тому

      We do not shoot in log or raw. We found a profile that looks good in camera and is easy to color. It's a discontinued and made for the c100 series of cameras

    Feels/sounds like Nick is right here sitting beside me! From the looks of it, it seems like you shoot in a saturated profile on the C70, but with sharpness down (or is that just how the C70 or C100 ii looks stock, or do you shot LOG and Jenn colors it?) - I can't get that same softness and smooth dynamic rolloff from the R6 - Any tips here?

      From source window click “,” on your keyboard and it inserts to the end of your timeline after you set in and out points in Premiere. “P” in Davinci Resolve.

    I also film weddings. Noticed you don’t include the vows or toasts, and you only made a one minute edit. Do you think same day edits are only possible with that kind of package?

      Nick did these for free for the longest time, and I believe he still includes these in the packages

    Do you guys learned this from Jason Magbanua from the Philippines who first invented the same day edit wedding video?

    • @HowToFilmWeddings
      @HowToFilmWeddings  3 роки тому

    I wonder if most of the people are aware that majority of the weddings on the Philippines are all same day edits. Even simple corporate events always incorporates same day edits all the time.

    Are you not worried all your videos will look the same and have no originality for the couple?

    • @TheRealKongKK
      @TheRealKongKK 2 роки тому +1

      Its like saying that a chef has to prepare the same meal differently everytime otherwise it isn't original.

    • @thekurtishenry
      @thekurtishenry 2 роки тому +2

      @@TheRealKongKK Not necessarily because a chef is preparing the exact same meal and the job is to prepare that meal the same every time. Where a wedding video is supposed to feel personal for the couple it’s intended for
