I don't agree totally, u cannot be reviewing it based just on ur palate, like u said it's a swedish dish and the flavors to the chicken meat balls is their traditional flavouring u can't expect everyone to spice it up just so that they suite ur palate! We need to appreciate every cuisine in their most authentic form.
Someone finally said it! Iv noticed she adds a lot of spices/ chilly to her food. I’m also sick of Indians eating international cuisine but expecting it to be hot and spicy like our food! If they want it to taste like Indian food they should eat only Indian food. Meatballs/ sandwich or even pizza why do they need it to be makahani flavour or tandoori flavour etc? I miss the good old days when cafés served sandwiches like they are meant to be and pizza chains had pizzas like they taste abroad unlike the spicy sauce and Indian topping they have now!

It's a bad concept I feel . First of all by the time u pick yr food ..wait in line and get it billed food will get cold . Second it's not at all hygienic as none of the food is covered and keeping it on trolley and walking around will lead to contamination. It's a no no for me !

I know right, they are yum. It also depends on the city where the IKEA is located. Some people just don't know how to make authentic meatballs and mess up the flavor.
The basic idea behind IKEA serving food is, it is believed that one can not and will not be able to shop when they are hungry. People become agitated and restless as soon as they are hungry and they will go out of their shopping store. Hence they are providing items in their restaurant so that people will spend more time in their shop in a mindset to spend more now that they aren't HUNGRY.
Swedish delicacy is not chicken meatballs. It's beef and pork meatball. Chicken meatballs if made similar way can be dry. General meatballs are served with cranberry sauce & gravy & is low on spice profile.
This is truely honest review and I wish i saw this video before I visited .. Yes.. Ikea food isnt just worth time and money both .. worst experience ever .. pls domt waste time and money

Actually IKEA is famous for “Swedish meatball” not “chicken” meatball. Since Indian don’t eat beef so they changed it to chicken which obviously would not taste as good as original Swedish meatball.
