Which one is the most reliable?
I don't think I've ever seen a car review that completely skipped over the front row seat. Didn't even get a look at the driver's seat or center console.
He said watch the A6 review for driving impressions and interior design.....this video was about the DIFFERENCES from a6....
why is the sound so muddy?
I think it's fascinating how a hatchback went from cheap utility to now being "exclusive" and more expensive.
It's still a hatchback...
IMO the A7, A5, BMW GT etc look horrible compared to their regular sedan and wagon versions.
tali sson liftback is not necessarily the same as hatchback. Tons of classic Italian cars were liftbacks. And while I like the look of these cars, I most certainly would opt to pay less and get more from the regular sedan versions (or more ideally get a estate version for the increased versatility).
Alan Bowers call it whatever you like, the concept is not new and it wasn’t more expensive than a regular sedan or wagon 20 years ago.
@@MrTaliz what cars are you referring to? 20 years ago this type of variant wasnt mainstream enough to be compared alongside a normal sedan or wagon.

I thought previous A7 was elegant and attractive, but not this one. If I need to choose one out of A6 and A7, I will pick A6.

The A6 looks more mature and stylish. They really nailed it. A7 looks not bad, but something is not good about the way it looks. They should have changed the shape more and transform it. Go for a shape more similar to the cls or something...

It's a pity these cars won't exist one day because SUV's are taking over. And yes, I'm one of those assholes that bought an SUV... It's just more practical 😕, but still, sedans just look so cool.
It just depends on where you live. If you don't need the ground clearance, you are wasting fuel and money on a suv. Annnnd you pollute more..
@@MrTeknown well I'm not so sure about pollution - just as much pollution is generated producing the electricity to power that electric car, so until they resolve that, electric cars will never be "green".
The 2019 A6 still looks better than both the A7 and A8 to me
I am generally a fan of Audi, but this new direction with the fake exhaust lines and the finger print prone double screen interior is just not working for me. The previous gen A7 was more striking, inside and out.
Agreed. That rear headlight is a monstrosity. The previous A7 was probably my favourite car as far as looks go, but this ? the rear looks like a toad. Seriously Audi, you need to take a few lessons at porsche for rear design.

The A7 is the Sportback version of the A6, just as the A5 is the Sportback version of the A4.
It's not about one having "the edge over the other", but which fits your needs better.
The previous A7 was sexier than this one. The new body style is boring.
Living in a state with lots of snow in the winter, I would never buy an A7/S7 as the massive, slopping rear window without a wiper is a significant design flaw. I still prefer the Q8.
Well done Mark. I think the A7 has lost its luster a bit. I think the 6 Series Gran Coupe is a better looking car.
Something about this new A7 looks odd. Just can’t wrap my finger around it.
Sorry my friendly reviewer but I beg to differ about the rear end cosmetics of this A7. To me it is the ugliest rear end especially from certain angles that Audi has even designed and brought to production. The continues line (as in the 2019 Q8) connecting the rear lights makes it look like it's pregnant. I currently own a 2018 Q5 premium plus with warm weather package and vision package and a 2018 Q7 prestige fully loaded. Loyal Audi man for 17 years. I hope this rear design and the second screen that controls seat controls/temp/etc doesn't trickle down to every model. The MMI knob (what u call yaw control in another video) is the ultimate interface. But engineers always have a way to screw up things.
Audi ruined this gen A7 styling in my opinion. Loved the prior gen. In general Audi refreshes are uglier as a trend. They really need to stop adding sharp creases bring put there inner Ford Fusion character lines. Yikes

Yeah, the only fast car I've been in was a 2014 Audi s7 (I know this vid is about a7 but s7 is just a more sporty version) and it was a beautiful car that was super quick. I miss it :(

Previous gen A7 superior
You can get a 4y old A6 for less then 30k vs A7 that costs same as A8 (~ 45-50k). And we all know comparing A7 and A8 is an insult (insulation, used materials...). Even A6 is a much better car. Interior is more spacious, you can actually drive people, you have a bigger and higher trunk. I'm 185 cm and almost every male today is quickly 180 cm. This guy is touching the roof with 177 cm. Useless car.

@@ALMX5DP Porsche model changes make bigger gestures than Audi. Until the newest 992 - I think they really screwed up big time with a car that's going to be on the market for another what, 8 years, that looks nearly identical to the outgoing one.

Cornbread 70's the interiors are not top notch designs. They are boring and dark, also there is little passion. Sterile and cold. Mercedes is king of the interior design game.

The previous generation had far more elegance. I'm disappointed with the latest Q5, Q8, A7 & A8 - they all look so bland both inside & out. BTW, to me, the latest Mercedes CLS is just as bad.

completelly agree. i own 1st generation in white, and its look much better than new one. is 2019 beautiful car? absolutelly. however, its became unisex and now has more feminine look.

The BMW 640i GT is such a better looking and more appealing package than this. Maybe in person the A7 is easier to appreciate...
