The problem with Bloodborne is how the license and ownership is split not only between Sony and FromSoft, which is horrible enough, but also Japan Studio. I am absolutely betting everything on the fact, that this remaster/port is a heated debate between those parties for years now, because they all know this will fly from the shelves like no other game in the past decade (except maybe ER itself lol) and they all want the fattest piece of the cake, if they can't settle on a transfer of the rights altogether.
Bloodborne IP is 100% the property of Sony. FromSoft signed an agreement to make 3 games exclusively for them many years ago and historically when Sony has a 2nd party deal with any developer they own the IP and game 100%. I'd imagine something has been going on behind the scenes for some time and whatever project eventually moves forward will make an appearance. I wouldn't be surprised if they did a full remake Ala Demons Souls for the PS6 launch with a PC release 1-2 years later
Yep... they sure do, hence my comment about it being RemasterStation. However, at least in this case Bloodborne is an old'ish game, unlike Last of Us 2 hehe... I do think from a financial perspective it's a no brainer for Sony if they can make the deal work with Fromsoft etc... Glad you're enjoying your Series X! Xbox has a massive slate of games coming that's for sure & Game Pass has never looked better!
