I am loving these full front shaker cards. Hoping to have time to make a few soon. I feel like I’ve hardly had any time to craft lately, yet I cannot see a single thing I’ve accomplished with my time. Well, other than cleaning out closets, kitchen cabinets and the pantry. It’s insane how much stuff a family collects over 35 years! Seriously, I’d rather be crafting and/or buying crafting supplies. Which reminds me...crafty supplies is the reason I started cleaning in the first place. Doesn’t everyone clean closets, cabinets, and pantries so there is more room to store the crafting supplies? 🤔 Who needs food, plates and clothes anyway!
Amy another beautiful card. My autistic grandchildren now call you the rainbow lady. Lol. due to the last couple of cards they have watched have been rainbow. Now Im having to make rainbow glitter cards for their momma. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creativity. sending hugs.
I smiled throughout this video. 😊 It's so nice to see a creator enjoying a hobby I love. No one in my family nor my friends make cards or crafts. 🙁 Thank you from a kindred spirit! Janet 🤗👍💖
I also have no friends that craft. I wish our local craft stores were still abundant…classes and meeting others would be easier. At least we have UA-cam. :)
I have not thought of stamping on the inside of the card!! What an awesome idea!! I enjoy Nina video's also!!! I will be trying this out for sure!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
LOVE how this turned out! I think Kristina Werner does something similar but often uses watercoloring with it. Thank you so much for sharing! Found my mid-week card project - and a use for all my chunky glitter!
yeah I think lots have made flat shakers now - Ilda Dias was making them a long time ago (I have another video coming in a bit crediting her - she makes beautiful cards). And KW and her watercoloring is always fabulous - I love her cards too!!
I love the flat shaker cards! I also love that you decorate the inside of your card. I do the same. It. Feels incomplete to me if I don't. Thanks for sharing. You got me inspired
You and Nina both have presented us with AMAZING ways to use our packaging!! I watched a few crafters use their packaging when making cards so I began saving EVERY kind of packaging that was clear from every kind of anything I had ever bought. Lol. I ended up with just a drawer FULL of clear packaging materials and never found a really good way to recycle my things. All it ever was to me & my family was a MESS until lately & I just wanted to thank you girls for that. Oh & as I was watching your video again, I just thought to tell you that it must me a AMY thing with the glitter. I have a drawer FULL of that & as I make shaker cards I pull out my glitter or maybe 'think' about pulling it out & using it & yet it seems I never get the nerve. Lol. I'm fearless with other things but then I get in my craft room & all of a sudden I start organizing & become almost afraid of glitter. Hahaha. 🤷🤷🤷🤦🤦🤦🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sorry such a LONG post. I am glad to see you back. You remind me so much of myself.....careful though.......I don't know if that's a compliment or not. Lol. ❤❤❤❤
Love this technique. I watched Ninas video and now yours and I just have to do this. Watch out birthday card recipients, it’s going to be a shaker year! Lol! Thanks for all your videos, love what you do.
These cards are gorgeous!! And I love how you stamped the inside of the cards too. Like always. You definitely got me inspired to (often rainbow) stamp the inside of my cards too. And the recipients love it. So thank you❣️
These turned out fantastic. When I'm watching a video and I see something like your successful ink stamping on the inside here, I am so genuinely happy for you. We all try new things, that's how we grow. Even though we are taking a chance. This was pure bliss. I have seen several people doing these shaker cards. I have got to get to trying this myself. Thanks Amy.
Greetings from Yellowknife!! I love watching you create! These cards inspired me!!! I love the ink blending! I was thinking these would be an awesome way to use up pattern paper I have been hoarding - the shaker bits would spruce them up!
Hey Amy R!!! This just popped up in my you tube feed!!! Stunning!!! I’ve seen these from you but I think this was your first flat shaker card!!! It’s great!!! ♥️♥️🤗🤗🌺🌺. (PS this is Oct 20, 2022). You’re so good at this stuff!!! Bravo!!!
definitely go check out her blog - I did link to her video (it's on the Simon Says Stamp channel) in the top right corner of the screen at the beginning of this video too. She makes so many amazing cards and I'm always so inspired by her.
Amy, I so love and appreciate the flat shaker card. And your coloring technique on a large stamp. Guess what I will be trying soon? Where can I find the acetate sheets? I don't have any.
any of the packaging stamp sets, card stock etc come in is what I've been using. Acetate is widely available pretty much everywhere tho a lot of the packages of actual acetate sheets the acetate is thicker - so you may have to score it to get it to fold over. I've also shown a video around this same time using pre-designed acetate pieces with adhesive on them - it's on my channel
Love this and a great way to use that packaging. Is your white board eraser magnetic and if it is do you have problems using it on your misti with the magnets holding down paper?
I pulled the felt back on it and pried out the magnets (it only took me a minute or two to do) then reglued the felt to the bottom of the eraser again and it's good to go lol!
I linked to her video for SSS that I referenced in the upper right corner of the video (the little "I" icon) and I linked to her UA-cam channel in the description box below the video :)

Beautiful & so fun, as always!
beautiful cards, love them
Love the card!!!! I’m not sure if I missed it….what pressure tool were you using with the Misti?
Hello, she uses a white board eraser. 🙂
yup - there was text on the video when I first used it ;) - just a whiteboard eraser :D
Love these🥰

Love these!!
Love these and I will be making some! 😛
Cute! ❤️
I just recycled tons of of those packages. Why are we just learning how to do this? Lol
Why do you have red diagonal tape on your paper trimmer?
marks the 6.25" mark on my trimmer - I use it when making mini slimline cards
You say to follow Nina but you don't give enough info. Please who are you talking about????? A link or her complete name would be wonderful. Thsnks
