It's sad that people tell you not to make Squish your life. I thought I would never love anyone more than my 1st granddaughter. I made her my life n I am her love. I went on to have 8 more blessings n those grandchildren are my loves. My heart is so full. My oldest loves are now 23,22,21,20, n 19. Plus a few little ones. The older ones yes have their lives but they love me so much n we share time, experiences n so much. Squish will want you to be her best friend I promise. Enjoy enjoy, because yes they grow but so does the love between you ❤️ I feel sad for the grandmas that miss their babies 😢

Squish is going to see you as her best friend. I know bc my grandmother (dad's mom) was mine. She passed when I turned 13. She was my favorite person then and still is.

When my son was a toddler, he had an all in one Puddle suit. All waterproof so we could dance in the rain, play in the stream and get muddy! It protected his clothes and saved on the washing.

Base drawers are the only way to go!!! I’ve been close to my grandkids since birth and they are now teens and twenty and they come over to visit, ask me out for coffee , lots of fun together. 😊

I’d like to add my two cents about granddaughters. Me and my granddaughter were close from day 1. She came home to my home after birth. She and her mom moved out before she was 2. She is now 34. We are as close now as we were then. Honestly my heart would explode if she were to back away. But no sign of that. You are correct a good basis helps. And yes go for broken than guarded!!!

Oh my they grow so fast. My grandson is 36. We lived about 2.5 hours away. I worked shift work so I had days off at random.on my off days I met my daughter halfway and brought him home. I got him on my vacation, we all spent holidays together but I kept him with me. At Christmas I would buy him a milkshake and we would ride for hours looking at Christmas lights when I got tired he would say one more time. He had and has my heart. When they moved further I went to them on my off days. His mom is my only child, his dad still treats me like a queen we had no problems.love love and spend all the time you can with her. You don’t worry about your heart with any of your kids that love is there for ever. Be sure you love in that baby a lot. I did and my family hugs me a lot and I live in the casita in the yard.

I like the rebranding of your channel but I don't like Amazon affiliates. I know it's how you make an income and that's fine. But I prefer not to be 'influenced' to buy anything and zip through the parts of videos where people talk about their sponsors. I pay google to not have advertisements.
I didn't see or hear any ads from Amazon here, am I missing something? (I'm not in the U.S.).

You have to go actually searching for her Amazon affiliates just don’t click on “more” and look for them and don’t click on the affiliate links if you don’t like it. She’s only done a couple of sponsorships and she talked to us about it before she excepted them and everybody said go for the money, honey. You don’t have to be influenced. You can choose not to be influenced.
My mistake then. I thought that by you mentioning your Amazon affiliate program it was promoting it. It's a touchy subject being influenced even subtly.

It always feels so good to be of help to those we love. We try to always be available if one of ours needs a hand. My local grandkids are 16, 18 and 20. There was a time when they were at our house 3 or 4 days a week while parents were at work/school. OH and the sleepovers we had, EPIC!!! Now I only see them at family dinners maybe once a month. It was very difficult to deal with that change but we do what we have to do. Just glad they are healthy, happy and thriving. Glad your build is underway and the cabinets are ordered and a savings. I believe you are very independent. I wish I lived closer to my children and grandchildren. Planning ahead for the days that you may not be as independent, as you may like, is so smart! Margaret, my Granddaughter is the love of my life , I know I spoiled her, who cares. She is very close to me and tells me everything going on in her work life and her friends activities and holidays, she is 22 and I'm very proud of her kindness and loving nature .

Love ur videos. Grandchildren r the best. I’m very close with my granddaughter. Always have been from day one. She is now 20. We r still very close. She will call to see if she can stop by to visit, I will meet her for lunch on her lunch break from work. It may not be the same as when she was young, because now she is adulting with a full time job, but, we still 😢make time for each other. That friendship is built while they are young it just changes as they get older. But if you put work into spending time with them and getting to know them when they r young, it pays off when they get older. So happy to see your space under construction. It won’t be long now.

You enjoy every minute with sqish, I watched my oldest granddaughter from 8 mths old to about 12 years old. She is going to be 24 this year. I am 70 too and was fortunate to be 47 when she was born, she lives in another town now for some years but still text and calls me, enjoy every minute Margaret!

I lived with my grandmother from the time I was 16 till the day she died, I was closer to her than my parents . She showed me a lot more about the world and life. So I guess I have to say she was my world. I stayed close to her and never pulled away I loved her and I miss her every day. Thank you Margaret

I agree with the drawers! We have the bottom cabinets and when you get a certain age it is hard to get down and reach to the back. Drawers are so much easier..

Margaret, it’s so good to see you BACK! Meaning that your happier and more chipper since the Building of you Home has begun. I am so excited for you to be in Your Own Home. 😊. I’m with you on making our Grandchild our Life. My granddaughter was my life from the moment she was born. I was so blessed to be right there when my daughter needed help and returned back to work. Chick a Pea( that was what I called her) was with me just about everyday. They grow up so fast. They lived with me, so I loved taking her to school, picking her up, going to all her school parties and functions. The list goes on. Then one day ( she was 9) my daughter up and moved 1200 mi away taking her. Chick a Peas last words to me was “ Mimi, please don’t leave me alone “ just thinking about that as she wrapped her little arms around me, makes me want to throw up as the pain is the worst. She is now 14 and I’ve not seen her in 5 yrs co,ing up in Jan. My daughter whom I love with all that Iam ( my miracle baby) estranged from me but finally she’s started talking to me again. Chick a Pea and I face time and talked a lot, but now she has no time for me. I’m praying and hanging on to faith that they will ask me to please move to where they are. Will I? I don’t know, the pain has traumatized me and the rejection is a killer. Anyhoo, I’m fuller of anticipation that one day soon, they will allow me or invite me to come see them. I must say, Iam gun shy. So, yes enjoy and embrace every moment you have with Squish. We never know what tomorrow brings.

I’m thrilled you got the kitchen drawers you wanted. 🤗 Yes, they’re a dream to have. Question: will there be garage space for your car? Love the layout of your space as well and I’m a huge fan of u-shaped kitchens so do enjoy! Perhaps many of the subscribers / watchers of your channel think you’ll be taken advantage of as far as watching Squish when perhaps you’re off the clock so to speak and are hoping that doesn’t happen. Just a thought.
I have never had a garage and do not want one. Michael thought Nikki and I would take the spaces. (He feels as I do. lol) I will be on the side close to my entrance.
Margaret, in my opinion, you're grasping the 'big ring' of life and making the most of it. This is a situation that benefits you, your son, your daughter-in-law, and Squish. Your mother's instincts are your best asset in respecting their boundaries. Margaret I can see the happy content radiating from you. So happy that the build is coming along nicely. You're so right about cabinet prices at Lowe's n Home Depot. We got estimates from both plus Independent cabinet makers n online. The online ones beat price out of all estimates plus made from real wood not partical board. All my lower cabinets are all drawers except for the trash pull out çne. Have a wonderful week.

When we built our last (yup, last) home last year. Our criteria was one floor, 2 bedrooms and DRAWERS in the kitchen. The builder also wanted the fridge next to the oven. I said, “NO!” They insisted I have some regular under cabinets with doors, so I had them install pull outs in those cabinets so I never have to get down on the floor to dig in the back of the cabinet.

I’m in you same situation and love it. My place is attached to the main house and my grandkids come and go easily. We have very nice boundaries and get along so well.my daughter and son-in-law are grateful and annoyed with me equally. Lol you all have to have humor and love to make it work well.

Thrilled for you and the cabinet outcome! I just signed with Lowes for 2 tall and 2 short windows, $4,000! Unfortunately there aren’t any small companies around to try to get a lower cost and my price is lower than the original estimate. 😖 Keep doing your life in your way which is being considerate of your family and, one day at a time, things will work out.
