Theres so many great riders who make average videos, but then theres super quality more normal guys like lance who make us feel like we are on this great mtb journey with him. Wish i could sub more than once, maybe start a patreon so i can donate so you can explore and make more vids for us :)
That has made my week. I have been sick for three weeks and haven't been riding so videos getting low. Did get out today with Dad's army and yes the curse continues. I don't need patreon just support like this to keep me going.
Couldn't agree more @MrSupermugen. Lance and the Dad's Army has inspired me, I'm 50 and riding as much as I can here. These videos are a highlight each time they come out, and I am always impressed with your honesty Lance and your humor and skills riding. And what can I say about New Zealand - just wow! The tourism board should be funding these videos some! :-) Also I agree a Patreon is a good idea. Would be happy to help support the channel, as I know the editing time and video equipment isn't cheap. And great marriage advice! :-)
@@nryan3 Thanks for that. I have been lucky enough to travel a fair bit but really appreciate what we have in NZ. I think right now it is the best place to be.
You should definitely do it. E bikes are great as they remind you what it was like to be fit and full of energy. I am addicted to that feeling. Just go careful at the start.
Great video, Lance. I always look out for your videos as it’s informative and entertaining too! I was at the Funduro and was hoping to see you (as I wanted a selfie!) LOL. Anyway, I hope to see you on the trails at some point. Keep the videos coming!
If you like riding in trees and natives you should come down to Wellington, loaded with that stuff down here. Look like fun trail...that guy into tree though ouch.
Nice video Lance. Your 2nd track was Ground Zero (not Ground Effect), and for those native tracks, you were right - Native Addiction was first, then Yippie second.
Love the vids but have a question. Are they uploaded at low res? One of your recent vids was high res and much easier to watch and make out what was going on.
Glad you like the videos. All my videos are filmed in 1080 and edited at the same resolution. Some of my early videos were not great due to editing software and upload speeds. I have just watched this video and the picture quality looks great to me. It may be due to your internet speed or how you are watching it. I have noticed if I send video to tv from phone the quality is not as good as directly on tv and on computers sometimes you need to select HD. To be honest it does frustrate me but I thought I had it pretty good. Will go to 4k but need better computer to edit it.
The reason you didn't make the step up was not you, it was the bike, it weighs a ton, get a lighter bike like the taniwha and you'll make that step up easy
You are right to a degree. The e bike is great for jumping but needs momentum which means you need speed. I am not very good at maintaining speed around corners. Certainly a light bike is easier to get air at lower speeds.

@MrSupermugen you are so right mate.

@@nryan3 I too am over 50 and only started mountain biking in earnest 3 years ago. It is great to see the “mature” gentleman charging.

Enjoying the video's Lance. Cheers
Lance, I so look forward to your videos, that just seeing this pop up in my feed made me smile. I haven’t even watched it yet and I am already happy.
I will keep making them just for you.
I wasn’t disappointed. Really enjoyed the vid again. Your the ‘everyman’ we all need. 👍👍
Love the tropical trail. How I wish to go to that trail to try.
Looking better on the jumps. Might have to visit Maraetai sometime.
The tracks are great there. I should go more often.
Nice work Lance. Looking forward to you coming South down to Wellington for a weekend review.
Would love to do that. Right now I would settle for a ride at my local forest.
Thanks for your videos, I enjoy watching them.
This videos inspire me to do MTB at my age. Makes me feel young... at heart again.
You should definitely do it. E bikes are great as they remind you what it was like to be fit and full of energy. I am addicted to that feeling. Just go careful at the start.
These are great videos. Love how it shows the location of the track and a bit of a summary of what theyre like. Love to see more like this!
Thanks Chris. Will keep them coming.
Nice trail and nice ride for a 50 years old guy. Love to go there and ride...greeting from Malaysia
Thanks Dave. What is the riding like in Malaysia?
@@bestdayevermtb2 We don't have trail like you do in NZ. You can check out my MTB footage in my channel.
Haha love the marriage advise. My wife told me it was mountain biking or her! Boy Im gonna miss her lol
I think if I was home all the time my wife would get fed up with me.
Great vid again lance
I saw u at four forty on Saturday lolol

Thanks Carlo. I had an entry for the race but was unwell on the day. Bit gutted but there is always another day.
Went out to Maraetai to check it out today
Some really nice tracks in there
I like the tracks. Wish they were closer to me.
That gapping looked great. Another great video. I look forward to watching you miss that tree when Bionic Wasp reopens
Sadly I missed the race as was unwell but great tracks.
That surprise gap had me saying "oh sh#t"
I think I was the same.

I really want to do that. I would like to do a road trip at some stage.
Dad's army needs a visit to the local trails
? What do you mean?
Lance can you do a video on fitting your go pro to your helmet
I did make one awhile back. Have changed it slightly but similar idea. ua-cam.com/video/80w0njTSW8I/v-deo.html
Hi lance. The trails look great. Nothing better than riding in a forest.
Absolutely. It looks like you have ridden every trail in the country lately.
@@bestdayevermtb2 I am trying but they keep building more!
I love out here and just got my first Hardtail so looking forward to trying these tracks! Any idea on where they start?
Best thing is get trail forks on your phone and start with the easy trails on a dry day.
Nice video Lance. Your 2nd track was Ground Zero (not Ground Effect), and for those native tracks, you were right - Native Addiction was first, then Yippie second.
Thanks Nick. I get confused easily. Probably shouldn't be allowed out on my own.😆
Great video mate! How do the trails ride at the moment?
Don't know as haven't been for quite some time. They do dry out very quickly so a day without rain and it should be fine.
Why is the dirt so yellow? Are you riding in a disused tumeric mine?

2:16 It is Ground Zero, not ground effect.
Thanks for that. I am easily confused.
@@bestdayevermtb2 It's all good. I really enjoy your videos so keep it up
That second rider hit that tree head on .ouch !!!!!!!L!!
I broke my promise and laughed.....a lot!
Properly chucking it down here today so no riding for me ☹️
Bugger. Hope you are not too bashed up. Glad I made you laugh.
Great video.......I didn't laugh!! It was close though. Great content.
must be time for some TLC the creaking lol
Or a new bike! Better watch next week.
