Cait says they act married because they have played married every day for years. They are a team and co-producers at work, spending long hours together being silly and sharing their hearts. They call each other family. Sam says their chemistry comes out of their complete trust in each other. Yet in their personal lives it wouldn't work. She is a homebody and bookish. He is go, go, go! and very outdoorsy, and has put his career first. But no matter, though she married another and he has had different girlfriends, they still have each other in a way that works perfectly for them and, thankfully, for us as well.

this is ridiculously funny and sad because Sam is actually gay. Since Outlander aired, and he became famous, he has erased all social media posts that he ever had that he had confessed about being gay. My guess would be due to his contract for Outlander. Sam being openly gay just wouldn't go over well for the image of Jamie Fraser, or the actor portraying Jamie's "image". Just saying.
