Mihaela Ursuleasa was a wonderful pianist who won the Clara Haskil competition and her career was about to take off before she tragically died at the age of 33. It's good to hear her name in this context!
Many of the live chamber music performances came from the Spannungen chamber music festival, held in a power station at Heimbach, which Lars Vogt was the artistic director of. All worth keeping.
The version of Beethoven’s first concerto on CD 2 is the bonus version that came with the original CD (no. 3 in this set) where Vogt played Glenn Gould’s cadenzas.
I, too, fondly remember the times when I relied on the fact that spelling is corrected more easily than pronunciation, so fondly in fact that I resolved never to abandon them. I admire those whose courage is greater than my own.

Pergamenschikow was an outstanding cellist. I thoroughly enjoy his recordings of the Bach Cello Suites.
