Parabéns pelo aeromodelo ! Muito bonito e bem construído ! Sou brasileiro e me orgulho de ter sido um brasileiro-Alberto Santos Dumont- que projetou o Demoiselle...assim como o 14-bis.🇧🇷
Excellent video. I’m going to try to build one too. Demoiselle was probably the first “personal aircraft” in history, since Dumont literally used it for personal transportation to within the suburbs of Paris. Back them, rich people used to live in ranches, and there was a lot of space to for landing and taking off.
Antonio: Thanks for your update! The Sig kit really is a neat one, very complete instructions to build this unique model. The directions are truly from an earlier era with nicad batteries and a brushed motor. A normal brushless motor and lipo battery should work just fine. Good luck! Tim
i sold off most of mine.. ill hang some up in house for looks if that passes and join you here brother going back to small scale. another guy on here makes them single channel but rubber powered still . relly neat
@@TimMcKay56 love your channel. im a vintage guy and just got attacked today for useing legal 72mgz from some kid on here. lol love these comet and gillows kits.. i watch your channel for hours Tim 👍😁
@@TimMcKay56 do you know weight limit if law passes ? is it like 1pound max weight. they say thos will not have to go through FAA and free to fly anywhere pretty much. one guy is making carl golberg falcon 250 size looks cool. not sure its its to big . i think its mainly weight limet. back ti tissue paper. im ok with it. cheap to fix too. 😁
Hello, Tim. This is Walter from Brazil. I intend to assemble the SIG Demoiselle kit and I had watched another video on youtube about its construction and there were some tips on the plan (some small mistakes in the plan). I didn't find this video (deleted) anymore. Do you have any tips on the correct assembly of Demoiselle? I thank!
Walter: If I recall, I built the Sig Demoiselle around ten years ago. But I do recall that the photo illustrated manual was essentially perfect. The Demoiselle will go together unlike any other model you have made, but Sig did their homework. A brushless motor would be ideal, as the original was designed for an ancient brushed electric motor. Tim
Glen: Covering is ideal for this plane. It is included in the Sig kit. Cannot recall the name, perhaps check at www.Sigmfg.com Does not have a sticky backing, will need a heat activated glue, such as Sig Stix-It to apply. Minimal shrinkage, which is good for the light frame. Tim
Thank you for your excellent commentary and showing us so many of the details on this Sig kit. Love the design and want one of my own, however, sadly, I will have no indoor places to fly it, so I'd like to locate a larger kit version of the Demoiselle for exclusively outdoor flying. Any kit suggestions would be appreciated.
I like how you brought up FAA in rc.. Most dont realize might get band for good. or just small planes like your will be only allowed . if law passes all big stuff will have to be inspected like full scale and have a license to fly it.. and anual inspections if it happens most guys will get out of hobby
@@TimMcKay56 drone pilots relly screwed over every one. at our feild i have ama but nobody there has a faa # but me. they act like tjey dont need to register there models. faa law now.. to many people out there breaking the law. uf feds show up. some might get there models taken away is how police do it here. and a fine or a night in jail if flying in A_D airspace. scarry if your a real pilot. i used to be..
most wont want to go through that if faa enforces that. will be federal prison for ones not complying.. they will look at it as a national security risk.
Prison only for lying to the FAA on a medical application (true story). No RC pilots. Will all work out!! Remember, this all per Congressional direction. Tim
Excellent job! - both the plane and the video!
Many thanks! Tim

Very nice RC airplane.
Thanks!

What creates the high drag that needs more power?
Just the overall design, with all the structures in the wind stream..
