I appreciate the lessons in chopping and sauteing. I know it's tedious for us seasoned cooks, but a beginner might need the visuals of dicing, sauteing, or even what a simmer looks like as opposed to a rolling boil. We all started somewhere, and the help is really appreciated.

I used to put grated carrots and peppers and onions to get my kids to eat more vegetables. Sneaky mom. I sometimes put cheese in the center and seal it up. Really good for surprise!. I use 1/3 pork & 2/3 beef . Add dry onion soup to the mix only had a packet. You have some wonderful ideas. Thanx for all your hard work 😊❤
Yes i do this after buying my veggies because I work and get home late, Dicing beforehand and storing them in glass jars makes the meal easier and faster to prepare during the week.❤❤❤❤

Cut up long vegetables like celery, carrots, squash, asparagus... And lay them all in one direction on the meat and top with dobs of ricotta cheese along with what ever spices you prefer and roll it up and tie it with butchers twine and tie the ends closed to form a meatloaf sized log. Brown it on all sides then place in a baking dish with pasta sauce on the outside and bake to desired wellness. When done cut the strings off and sprinkle some shredded cheese on top to melt then slice it into pinwheels and serve, spoon some of the pasta sauce from the pan on top of the slices and serve with mashed potatoes on the side.

I was surprised you did not use breadcrumbs in your meat mixture. I have also never seen a meatloaf cooked in foil like that. I’d like to try your recipe. Do you ever use a mixture of ground meats instead of just beef. In the area where I live (New York State, USA) it is common to use beef & pork & sometimes also veal. Thank you for the recipe.

I live in Texas and I love the laid back atmosphere and the soft relaxing way you do your videos. It show that you enjoy what you are doing and you are not in all fired hurry to just get it done in a rush. The really good cooks know how to enjoy the process and take their time and put some love into it. I really like the way you do your videos and it looks delicious.

Looks delicious. What kind of Beef fat % did you use. There didn't look like there was very much melted fat when you opened up the loaf. You got a new fan.

After many many years most of my life my hands got messy when I was cooking and it would get on kitchen knobs and elsewhere if I wasn't washing them every time I touch something. So a couple years ago I bought a box of those inexpensive clear food handler gloves use double-sided tape to place it under an upper cabinet where it isn't really visible but I can reach up there and grab grab a glove if I want to mix some hamburger or anything else that needs hand washing afterward. At 78 years old I finally got smart. Hope this helps. It took me forever to learn to do this. It also took forever if I touched anything greasy and wash my hands afterward. Even Dawn liquid soap they used to wash ducks that have been in an oil spill takes a while to wash greasy stuff off my hands. Maybe I should use crude oil in my kitchen instead. Kidding.

I don't use breadcrumbs, I use quick cooking oatmeal.
To each their own, I love seasoned Panko breadcrumbs!
I use regular oatmeal which is what my great grandmother used. I also season it with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. 🙂

Cracker crumbs I take a pack of crackers and put it in a plastic store bag and roll over it with my rolling pin till they're all crushed up real small it's the best ever

I put it on a faster play speed so I get the ideas without the tedium. I always put the garlic in last because it's so easy to burn. Looks good.

It looks delicious but the video is very slow , specially cutting the vagatables.... Takes 10 minutes to watch.
To check potato is done... you don't need a knife.... Use fork ..... because a lot of good cooks can watch this .. 😊😊

After many many years most of my life my hands got messy when I was cooking and it would get on kitchen knobs and elsewhere if I wasn't washing them every time I touch something. So a couple years ago I bought a box of those inexpensive clear food handler gloves use double-sided tape to place it under an upper cabinet where it isn't really visible but I can reach up there and grab grab a glove if I want to mix some hamburger or anything else that needs hand washing afterward. At 78 years old I finally got smart. Hope this helps. It took me forever to learn to do this. It also took forever if I touched anything greasy and wash my hands afterward. Even Dawn liquid soap they used to wash ducks that have been in an oil spill takes a while to wash greasy stuff off my hands. Maybe I should use crude oil in my kitchen instead. Kidding.
Agree. Too much time wasted watching you chop everything. One chop for each slice is enough. Music is beautiful.
