  • Just a quick running session. I put together a Milwaukee Road wreck train with what I have out here in The Cave using Lionel, K-Line, and MTH/RailKing pieces. I could stand to add a couple of MR flatcars but I have to order some first.

Milwaukee Rd has been a favorite since I got my first Lionel 2338 in 1955. Also lived in Bensenville, Illinois and drove past the Milw Rd Engine Shop and hump yard every day. Thanks for showing.

@@JFLionelT-RailOperator Glad you enjoyed the videos! I grew up not far from the Milwaukee Road yards in Milwaukee and could hear them all hours of the night running and switching the industries down in the Menomonee River Valley.

Very nice. The spot light car is cool.

Thanx Paul! It was kind of a last second inclusion but I think it fits the overall theme.

Nice! I have the same smoking 19656 bunk car. One of my favorite cars to run!

Many Thanx! Yes, it is a great car for sure. This was its first run after buying it so long ago and I'm glad to see it works the way it should 🙂

Thanx Frank! It started life as an MPC Santa Fe but was custom painted to the Milwaukee Road scheme by Dennis Krueger

Those big steel wire reels can be a bear to load and unload, when carrying a lot of cable. That's quite a setup you have.

I'm not sure they're really appropriate for a wreck train but I thought I'd keep the cables with the car so as not to have them go their separate ways and get lost.

Nice, Ed. Is that Switcher and MPC? I have an MPC DT&I Switcher that growls just like it.

@@johnknippenberg-LandmarkYards yes John, it’s a custom paint job. It started life as an MPC Santa Fe engine.
