  • This complex looking but easy to manage pattern is called the Crochet Diamond Wave Afghan. I was kind of intimidated by the look but glad I didn't let the look of it scare me from giving it a try.
This type of afghan is starting to trend. You can be playful with the colours. For example, the cream colour can be different colours that are separated by the honeycomb frame that it's in. Therefore, you could have plenty of ideas and colourways as opportunities.
The pattern repeat is from Row 2 - 9. Seriously though, once you get it... put the pattern down and just enjoy it. It looks complicated but it's really not.
    Get the free pattern at: thecrochetcrowd... #CrochetWave #crochet #learntocrochet #crochettutorial .
This video is closed-captioned for the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. The captioning is also available in multiple languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. The written pattern is only available in English. . *** .

This is just like the brick stitch. And I always just carry yarn up the side so I don't waste yarn. Very lovely.

Do you do anything special when you carry the yarn up the sides?
      What border do you favor?
I have done some complicated stitches, but never carried the yarn up the sides, so I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!
I am planning this in Redheart Monet variegated yarn and Caron Violet- both 4wt.

I love that you break a pattern down and give the multiple count, since most patterns don't do this. Thanks for doing this!

The Holy Spirit entered my body. i really felt it when he entered me. i was filled with peace, love and comfort. God shared his love with me and gave me understanding of how much he really loves all of us. God loves the worst person out there. Even a murderer who killed 50 million ppl. God said he loves that person and hes ready to forgive them if only they ask. He's ready and willing to forgive u and remember ur sins no more. It was love that none of us could express. God told me he doesnt want hell for any of us. Hes not mean at all like some of us may see him. He only warns us because he loves us so much and wants us being reconciled back to him. I felt the holy spirit grieve in me. i started weeping nonstop for hours. The Holy Spirit was weeping for all the lost souls. He told me to pray and plead with God for forgiveness, mercy, grace and more time for all the lost sinners. pray that they come into a repentance and God softens their heart. God doesn't want hell for us. He weeps when 1 soul goes to hell. The lil bit of grief he allowed me to feel was too much for me to bear. i told God i cant handle this grief. its too much for me. God took the grief away from me. He just wanted me to know how high, deep and wide his love really is. I had hate for my enemy and unforgiveness but God gave me HIS OWN love for my enemy. And now i have love for my enemy and ive been trying to help him get saved and be reconciled back to God. There's no way u can love ur enemies on ur own. U can only love ur enemies when u SHARE in Gods love 😊💖 God is truly beautiful and he loves you so much. He doesnt want bad for u. He wants u to know and feel how much he loves you and he is for u 😊💖 we may fail God and get mad at him, but God will never fail us and will never leave us. I know this from experience😊 Jesus loves u 💖😊 read the bible starting in the book of John 😊 The NLT version is more easier to understand than KJV 😊💖

MIKEY!!! Thank you so much for your crochet videos. When my Grandma passed away, I thought I would never learn how to make any new patterns. I learn by watching, I can't follow patterns that are new to me. I love how you explain what to look out for, and the math so I can make "meadow" sized afghans. I am making this with Red Heart Hygge yarn for my daughter and her husband.

I’ve made this pattern multiple times in the last 20 years. I have two variations in that one seems more like a wave and another a honeycomb as you said. But they’re basically the same I think of. In this pattern from this video, I wanted to add more texture - so on the minority color here, the darker shade, I made a small cluster stitch at the lowest level of your “honeycombs.“ I think it was 2 halfdouble crochet cluster.
I find this pattern and the other one I’m talking about which is a little bit more wavelike, it’s not really simple. Anything is simple once you get used to it, but make no mistake. You have to be spot on with every single stitch and count each stitch. The effect is absolutely gorgeous.

I didn't cut the yarn; I just carried them up the side as I went. The edging covered it. Way less ends to weave in that way. www.ravelry.com/projects/RitaMiller/afghan-3663

The sides once border is applied will be straight. Does this need blocking it folds straight. The border seems a little unclear since it seems to the the depth and of the two rows that go around the diamond. I really want this to look nice and need guidance to do that. Could you reply Mikey and let me know what would be the right thing to do

I'm working with Bernat Blanket right now. I'm just having problems with the "honey" popping out like a bubble, but I think it's just because the tc stitches are too tall. I can't figure out how to make them any shorter without it not being a tc stitch. Otherwise, the BB yarn is working out.

There is edging on two short sides only. You will just sc across evenly. Then do a reverse single crochet to return back.
