@@danny_long_legs The situation with Gray's children is complicated though. If Chantelle had genuinely died in an accident I would have agreed with Shirley's initial assessment that the man was crazed by grief and not thinking straight but I must admit that taken in conjunction with Gray's domestic violence towards Chantelle and covering her death as an accident, it's sinister. That being said, Gray did show some signs of guilt over killing Chantelle at that time and it wasn't as though he was going to murder them and then walk free and get on with his own life - it was a murder-suicide pact which would have resulted in him and his children dying together which is obviously the act of an unhinged man as anyone else who was suicidal after their wife died would either make sure the children were at a relative's house or take an overdose or something. The murder-suicide pact on it's own doesn't prove anything which is why I was surprised that Tina immediately jumped to he conclusion that Gray is a murderer just from that. Both Tina and Kush were right about Gray needing professional help though.

@@danny_long_legs It's also because Tina said stuff about Gray to Shirley seen he was a control freak because she was with one before her ex girlfriend Tosh.

I hated stupid tina.. dressing like a teen at 40 odd yrs old, she was a pointless and irritating character. In fact I hated her in Holby too

I think Mick did believe Whitney he was just in shock and trying to get his head round it. I liked how Shirley was quick enough to believe Whitney because she put it all together because she remembered him trying to kill his kids they both have put two and two togethe.

The Shirley Whitney thing went the complete opposite way I thought it would. Also if Shirley & Mick didn’t believe Whitney 100% before going round there they sure as hell do now considering he didn’t answer the door.

Not even the viewers saw how Tina died.

@@user-fp5vf9qh3i I'm not saying he didn't kill her but as I said the viewers didn't see how Tina died other than making their own assumptions. It's actually odd that we saw the actual act in the case of Chantelle and Kush but not with Tina. Chantelle's death was at best manslaughter in the real world although he would have compounded the charge by trying to conceal his involvement. In the case of Kush I'd say that was manslaughter too. Kush pushed Gray onto the tracks and Gray did the same. In the case of Tina though, although we don't see anything we are left to believe this one was a cold-blooded murder - so perhaps why EE didn't show this one. In the case of fights half the time its manslaughter as a fight breaks out but neither party set out to kill. Kheerat's near-miss with Gray demonstrates that.

@@thecomputingchronicles Chantelle's death reminded me of Janine leaving Barry to die and Lucas leaving Trina to die - neither intended for them to die when pushing them but both failed to do the right thing and call an ambulance. I'm glad that Kheerat was on the point of doing the right thing and phoning an ambulance when Chelsea came in.

@@98slbrookes98 If it was the real world then it would be manslaughter at best. I guess the only aspect in Gray/Chantelle's case was that he attempted to cover up his involvement, plus he left her to die.
Clearly Gray had been abusing Chantelle as we are all witnesses to that but this was a push that went wrong. A good case pushed to the limit was the case of PC Harper who was dragged behind a car. They got manslaughter but it was much more borderline murder than this case.
I don't like to mix fact and fiction as EE is about drama and entertainment and not reality but things need to be credible too. What Gray did - by leaving her to die - raises moral questions but in terms of law? it was manslaughter at best.

@@98slbrookes98 and in EE world a manslaughter charge would most likely be a very short sentence if you look at how fast previous characters have returned from murder charges. His sentence would have most likely been shorter than this storyline lol
