Range Trip August 15th, 2023 - with my Tikka T3x Hunter and Henry Big Boy Carbine 357 magnum

First group of the day at 100 yards.. 1.25 inches with my Tikka T3x Hunter.
Second group of the day at 100 yards.. 2.08 inches with my Henry Big Boy Carbine.
Third group of the day at 200 yards.. .83 inches with my Tikka T3x Hunter.
My 7mm-08 usually shoots right under one inch at 100 yards and 1.80 inches at 200 yards. So the .83 inch group was a pleasant surprise for me and my brother.

I've shot my best 100 yard group with this Tikka T3x Hunter as well.
When I purchased this rifle.. I installed a Bushnell Prime 3x9x40 1/2 MOA red dot scope and headed to the range.
I took three different brands of factory ammo..
Winchester Ballistic Silver Tip..
.55 inches at 100 yards
Hornady American Whitetail
1.37 inches at 100 yards
Norma Whitetail
.67 inches at 100 yards
I chose the Norma Whitetail for hunting. The ammo was what was available and far less expensive. I used those to harvest a big bodied Pennsylvania eight point during the 2021 firearms season.
Complete pass through.. heart and lung shot! The buck traveled forty yards and piled up! I highly recommend Tikka Bushnell and Norma ammunition.

The beautiful thing about this particular target is.. my rifle is actually sighted in with Norma Whitetail ammunition.
Norma Whitetail is exactly two inches high at 100 yards and dead on at 200 yards.
I get .67 inches at 100 yards with Norma and 1.8 inches at 200 yards with Norma Whitetail. That's what I use while hunting!
