Wow that drone really gives a birds eye perspective on the curve there at Owensboro. When I used to run through there we had to slow down because the curve was sharper than a knife. If we had gone through there at that speed, we could have picked flowers out the window as we rolled! Also that picture of the old crossing and the US-301 bridge is amazing! I've only seen one before of it and there was a little shanty that someone manned in that photo. Thanks Danny and also thanks to Fred Clark, Jr. For sharing this.
You have the most well produced, interesting and informative rail-fan channel on UA-cam. I have learned so much and really enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Excellent. Your drone shots are very good and significantly improve our understanding of the territory you have been covering in your great videos over the years. I need to watch multiple times just to absorb all the details.
One of the nice things about the drone coverage is that it lets us see what is in those gondolas; interesting mix of stone and crushed stone. Great video once again Danny. You always seem to have such a good time out there railfanning.
Danny, I've been watching many of your videos and I think the quality of filming and your narration is excellent. I don't get many opportunities to travel over to the States to railfan, so watching your videos really makes up for this.
You do such great work Danny....thank you!! Really enjoy your work. You inpired me to get back out there chasing trains, I even bought a new scanner! Thank you for sharing you talent, your knowledge & passion with us railfans.
You mention the Bone Valley often in your videos and last night whilst watching some reality show about python hunters in Florida, I got to see what you mention. They went to the abandoned phosphate plant. Huge. Reports from TV stations back in the day mentioned the ecological disaster that was part of this plant, and the rise in cancer and other related diseases for folks who purchased homes that developers constructed in or near the plant. What a mess! In one scene, using her cell phone app and checking for radon emissions, a four is dangerous and her check showed a 3 on the radon scale. They did catch two huge pythons and 3 kiddie pythons. There's a bounty on pythons, it seems, plus you can sell the skin for boots, I guess. Now, back to your excellent video.
Danny.. it's been said over and over and its worth saying again.. your footage, the drone view, the info provided all done with your narration..you have the very best channel out there for us to enjoy. Thank you so much for sharing your time and knowledge with us. It's always most interesting. Tom
The thing about tracks being cut off, as a resident in Jacksonville, i live close to CSX's Kingsland Subdivision, i found out some time ago that the line was originally called Everett Subdivision since the tracks used to go into Savannah, GA however the tracks were cut off in the mid 80's and now it ends in Seals, which is north of Kingsland, also i happen to discover this by complete accident, in the Dennis street area, just close to TTX's shop there's some street running tracks on Harper and Swan Street, the tracks leading to those streets were removed sometime in the 80's, then i discovered that there's two S-Line rail trails, one stretches between Norwood and East 21st and the other stretches between Boulevard St. and Myrtle Ave. i can guess those tracks were removed sometime between the 70's or 80's.
@@distantsignal it's nice to see a bay window caboose!......but anyways, great video again!......and he's right you should come and railfan Louisiana! I'm on the UP main line to Addis a former MP yard so theres a lot of spots to see trains
Love the variety of units you feature. This has been one reason I follow your channel. Your knowledge of trains, units, and routes is amazing. Keep posting, Danny, and I will keep watching.
What's crazy to me, is the fact that South Lakeland is A851.7 and the place where I go to railfan, south of Richmond, Virginia, is the A26.7.. 825 miles south of me and sees mostly the same traffic! (with some exceptions) Love the video, as always!
Love your "railroad archeology"! I often see the juice train near Acca Yard here in the Richmond area. I'm also in Ashland frequently and note the juice train brings special attention from those around when it splits Railroad Av through the middle of town--something about being that close to those big oranges!
Good job Danny great aerial shots with your drone keep up all the great work you made my day with your video peace out into the world that have a great day your railroad documentaries are my favorite you're such a good narrator
Anytime I get a notification that you have uploaded a video, I get instantly excited! Your production quality is off the charts amazing! I truly loved this video! Please keep them coming and thanks for all your hard work to bring us quality productions!
Seeing an abandoned shop suggests to me that there might have been a rail/way/road station situated there in days gone by. BTW Great video. I'm from Australia and , thanks to You Tube, I can watch rail videos from around the world.
Danny you do a fine job on keepup with the trains when i was younger coal trains in east ky was great now trains do not come around no more i miss hearing the trains and flowing the with the scanner Jacksonville i headed all the time now i do not hear them coll out the blocks anymore
I genuinely love This channel, it's so interesting am I like how you give a lot of info of the rails and where they go and all the info on trains Lots of love from England. :)
Fantastic video as usual. You get better each time. Don't know how that is possible but you do! The non-rail-related items in this video were the nesting Osprey and the worlds fastest lawnmower?
I don't know how many videos you have listed here, but I think there are more still to come, very interesting catches an comments which I have enjoyed as well, I will keep looking (searching) to see if there are more, you should put them on disk and sell the disks, I believe a lot of loyal RR enthusiasts would be interested, I am from Canada near Hamilton, Ontario where it used to be very busy lines (CN & CP) now the traffic has decreased very much, keep up the great work, I enjoy your videos very much, Canada clear.
Awesome video as usual!! I was lucky enough to meet Fred Clark Jr. and I will say he has stunning old Florida railroading pictures! Keep up the excellent work!
Or the Philadelphia PA area or across from it in NJ. I recently discovered some great spots in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia where some beautiful shots of trains can be had.
Another great video. I'm really enjoying the drone footage in your videos, as it offers a much more satisfying perspective of railroading. Thanks Danny!
Growing up in Dade City I remember where the SAL came through town, and lots (and lots) of rides over the overpasses at Owensboro where U.S. 301 went over the tracks
Excellent footage and commentary! Just for future reference, CSX symbols do not have a dash in the symbol between the letter designation and the train number, and between the rest of the symbol and the origin date, for example, a Q453 originating on the 1st would show up on the CSX Mainframe, Paperwork and the Dispatcher Display as "Q45301".
Correct, but I don't get into the date minutiae. I shoot a lot of trains and it's sometimes weeks before I get around to editing. Too much room for errors in that time expanse.
That Q453 looked like some of the monster trains that FEC has been running for years now, with blocks of autoracks, followed by aggregate hoppers, followed by mixed freight.
About time you visited north end Lacoochee. I was looking on the satellite view of it and saw that the turnout was no longer on the road crossing and I was patiently waiting for the visit. Also very nice video.
Excellent video as always Mister Danny. Rumor had it that they were going to tear up the old siding at Tencor in the BV, will have to check and see if it’s still there or not.
You have set the a high standard by which to measure railfan videos. You offer a viewer experience that I couldn't duplicate, even equipped with the same toys. A real-life ride with you would be plenty interesting, but it is the video that permits the the assembly of information, the variety of perspectives and the distillation of of events in time, layered with entertaining parentheticals. Perhaps the the only improvement is to park my RV, trackside, deploy the BBQ and watch your channel on the big screen, with the sound turned up. If you see me, stop by.

Always a great day when you upload a new video! Job well done, Danny!
Indeed!
Ridiculously fun stuff, I have to agree.
Indeed, my friend!

Danny I most say I love your videos your narration voice/videos are so good!
This was the perfect compliment with my Sunday morning coffee Danny. I can't thank your enough for your time and high flying production value.
Many thanks, Ken. I always look forward to your comments.

Every time I see one of your videos makes me want to get my Mavic out...Love it."Fastest lawnmower I've ever seen"...Must've been in notch 8!
Thanks, Danny, always a pleasure to see you protecting those Ospreys!
Everyone of your videos are always so informative and so well prepared. A real pleasure to view. Please keep up the fine work.
Best rail vids on the net! Now we just need to figure a way to get Danny to do a bunch of vids in the southwest!! ;-)
Hi Danny, I love your rail videos of Florida railroading. They are the best of this genre on You Tube. Robert from Sunderland England.
With a little research on it you can find the history of every rail line, active or dismantled, in Florida.
Another Sunday morning special... thnx👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Would have liked to see more of that lawn tractor 😁. Great video as always Danny.
Another excellent video Mr Danny! I always look forward to new releases by you. If you ever railfan Louisiana give us a heads up.
Thanks Cliff!

Great Aerial Shots there Danny. Thanks again for another Great Adventure.
Danny, the longer you do this, the better you get! Great HD and editing. Bless Liz, it's hard to find a railfan partner too. Thanks for sharing
I'm always learning more about thr rails from your video, thanks!
Great stuff as always, Danny! Loving the drone work!
Another good video . Always well made , well narrated , informative and entertaining .
Another fantastic job Danny. Loving the drone footage and the DPU at the end of the train and the end of the video. Keep up the great work.

The drone footage really makes for a great addition to the videos. Way to go, Danny...another QUALITY video.
Excellent video! The best part is I can play this, and my wife and kids will leave the room shortly and leave me alone. 😁
I really enjoyed this video. Even the Osprey but not as much as the trains though.
Love watching these, I work weekends so watching this on Sunday before work, makes for a good day, keep em coming :-)
Enjoy watching..... Thanks for your nice catch. 👍
Thanks for all the great videos I like trains and so fun to railfan

That CSX caboose on the rail train has certainly seen better days.
Excellent video. Loved it. Thanks Danny👍👍👍❤️
Glad to see you are covered for the 'just in case' in the back seat of your truck :) Awesome as always!
Awesome video as always Danny! I laughed with that fast moving tractor! That was hilarious!
DRONES and BIRDS dont mix. BIRDS usually win! Good thing you took mama birds advice! Nice catches too liked the Q453 esp.
Man oh man you got some voice. I suspect that you were an announcer or worked in radio at some point in your life. Great vid. I subscribed.

That 453 was like a train you out together as a kid, whatever you have gets hooked.
Always good to have a back up roll of Toilet Paper in your Truck.
Ha! That's true, but those are paper towels
Awesome video as usual!! I was lucky enough to meet Fred Clark Jr. and I will say he has stunning old Florida railroading pictures! Keep up the excellent work!
I love the lawnmower guy. I haven’t seen one around here.
You’d love it here in Chicago. The railroad capital of the world!
Or St. Louis ;)
Don’t de rock me riz definitely minneapolis
Ha! He would love the mountains above Denver. Those are real trains.
Or the Philadelphia PA area or across from it in NJ. I recently discovered some great spots in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia where some beautiful shots of trains can be had.
Great video, Danny. The first cut of A782 rock is SFL limerock and the second is Junction City rock.
Yeah, that's what I figured, but was confused seeing Junction City rock going north
@@distantsignal I reckon it came in on Q603. As puzzling as it is, as they all say "it's the railroad!"

Another excellent Distant Signal video. Very information and well shot. Great job.
Another great video, thanks for sharing your rail fan adventures with us.

I was out last night and they are preparing road closed signs for every crossing along sr 663 from bradley junction south to sr 62.
Another great video. Like the drone shots.
I only watch these videos because of the man’s voice. He’s very eloquent.
Not to mention stuff I’ve learned like the CSX rail signals.
Nice video! Today, was the first time I ever caught a train. (Amtrak Pacific Surfliner)
Your drone work adds so much more to your videos. 😜🚂🇺🇸
These are some cool fascinating videos i love it

I always enjoy the restaurant reviews. You and I share the same seafood tastes haha
Although I like train's here in the UK its amazing to see some of the railway routes in the states and learning the history of them during the video
Your awesome Danny I love summer because of my Birthday also Railfan the Union Pacific and bnsf Spokane sub
Taylor Baggarley Better to be with than without in case of emergency! 😮
Oh yeah Scott
Top notch videos and drone footage.
I really enjoy your videos. The drone adds so much more to the story you are telling. Love it.
