The thing I love most about this demonstration is the minimal use of the patch bay. It shows how much versatility is on offer by simply exploring the modules in their factory configuration. Then once you get comfortable with the unit, tap into its routing capabilities. Well done, one of my favorite demos of the unit available on UA-cam.
Thanks for your comment! I was indeed trying to see what sounds I could make with minimal patching. There's lots to explore with patching but it's such a nice sounding synth with just the normalled connections.

I love my east beast but I didn't know you could do crazy sequences like that with the west that's crazy! Probably my next synth or save up more and get a dread box but atleast these tune themselves!

This seems cool, but I can't see this replacing my Eowave Swarm and 0-Coast. And menu diving on anything by Pittsburgh is a HUGE hassle (I sold my SV-1b for this reason alone, not practical for live performing), but I love these guys passion, drive and commitment to the community, you can literally hear their contribution in this collaboration. :)
Yes, I have an 0-coast too and I love it. To me the West Pest has a very different sound. It's also under half the price of an 0-coast and Eurorack mountable which is nice.
One thing that bothers me here... Why no attack on the envelope? I'm sure it's the easy thing and here is a lot of free space on the panel for one knob and 1-2 jacks.

To that end I am looking into getting a cre8audio west pest synth. Even though I have never done this myself. One of my goals in setting up a is to make myself engine sounds for model steampunk airships. Yes, I think the West Pest would be able to create those sounds, especially as part of larger eurorack system. The intro to the track you linked to might even be a fast LFO modulating a low pass filter to create the chopper effect - it's a bit hard to tell when it's that fast, it could be both.

How small is that device? Your hands look huge on it. I was picturing it about the size of the Electribe ER-1, now I think it’s way smaller.
My hands are not big so yes it’s pretty small and compact!
