This game is very beautiful. The background art, the danmaku patterns, the characters, and the music itself were all spectacular. I can tell the OST lives up to the quality of Touhou due to how the stage and boss themes go in sync with some of the segments of the gameplay.

This is probably the first Touhou game where I think the stages are just absolutely incredible. They feel like shmup stages. Zun has a heavy reliance on streaming or just plain stupidity in his stages where as this one just felt...nice. Difficult but nice. Then again I felt the music and just about everything else about this game was amazing too. A bit generous on the resources maybe but otherwise so good.
The music actually reminds me of modernized PC98 Touhou music actually. It is more relaxed pace than the modern Touhou music. Then again, relaxed? Probably the reason why I can't exactly hum the music the way ZUN's captures me. To each of their own. I would say the visuals and presentation is really great for a fangame. Like the usage of old Touhou(?) engine instead of Danmakufu.
I dunno about that in terms of stage design. Recently, that definitely is the case, especially with Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom, but I think 10-12 had fantastic stage design (Particularly UFO, UFO has some of the most interesting stage design in the whole series). But I won't deny that this game is also fantastic.

The graphics were pretty good, but I feel ZUN's stages were more atmospheric in which they blend so well with the music and danmaku. The OST is average but the designs of the characters don't feel like they belong in Touhou at all.

Shit, those last captures of Gensei's spellcards, including the final card before the hidden ones, are the most beautiful I've seen Jaimers do. And I love how they've basically improved upon the LolK final stage and consummated its potential.
You hand Resogun to these guys and they finish it with one life, one hand while cooking you some chicken curry rice and taking selfies at the same time with the other.
Pattern wise, this game looks awesome. I just cant dig this artstyle. Zun art seems so more original, this artstyle looks too anime to me. About the music, it resembles me some pop arrengements. There are no creative compositions. Altough i totally understand because music is the hardest part to do in any touhou game.
It was a good gesture of the creator of this game, to calm down the jokes on Marisa's attire in U.F.O. by making Reimu wear something far more ridiculous.

I don't get it, I mean the hit box thing. @ 1:11 the players hit box (the red circle) clearly comes into contact with an enemy projectile and it doesn't register as a hit? Also how do the big rounds work? Later in the stages (don't want to look for the exact time but you see them throughout the game in a few stages) there are big projectiles that are basically a disk of light, brightest on the outside and gets darker (fades) towards the center, they are almost twice as big as the player... at some point there is a ton of them coming down the player and he goes through them, not entirely, not through the dark center but the players hit box is traveling through the bright light portion of the disk/projectile... WTF?

Those bullets with brightness on the outside and darkness on the inside are probably what are called bubble bullets -- their sprites are larger than the hitboxes they possess. The hitbox is the inner part, the darker part of the bubble. You can go through the white / light part of the bullet and not due to it.

I'm not sure if this only happens to me, but I'm having a problem where every single Touhou Fangame that runs on SlimDX (FDF, SSS, etc.) has glitched bullets and textures >-> Some enemies and bullets move too fast across the screen, to the point I can't even see them, and every time a fairy dies the explosion effect is huge and the texture is blurry x-x Does someone have this problem as well or knows what may be causing it? qwq
