Here is an example of the band tapping the more contemporary R&B funk and the keyboards and horns took the track up to another level and a good changeup from their normal guitar based format. Very nice record.
The original title of this song was "Starfucker" but the label made them change it s[ it could be printed on the record label. It was also called "Star Star."
One of my all time favourite bands, so glad you reacted to this. I’m an expert when it comes to the Stones (and Queen). The Stones often had back up horns especially live. I guess English early rock and pre-mod revival like The Jam etc plus early Blues hit it for me. I am always keen to hear everything you react to though. So much to still explore 😊
Great band. Great song!! Liking your content. Quick scanned your channel and see songs I like! I like your lyrics breakdown. CHANGES by David Bowie!!!! Do that song and guaranteed one more Subscriber 😊 Probably more as Bowie was amazing!! Great Job JMBOY TV!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🎸🤟🏼

From right around the same time give or take a year. A song off of The goat's head soup album, winter. Is a must check out reaction. Also time waits for no one. Which is off the last studio album that Mick Taylor played on. That would be the album called it's only rock and roll in 1974. Happy New Year to you and yours. Hopefully someday you will react to both of these songs. Probably my top two favorite rolling Stone song and they have a lot of them.
In four minutes The stones could cover a lot of ground about our broken society. Gimme Shelter is another pain maker
Uncanny how this song anticipated Berkowitz.
The true story this song was written about is a heartbreaker
Mick wrote some serious stuff combined with his painful expressive vocals was a strong influence on millions of us.... still does. Great Choice
Micks favorite album. Goat's Head Soup 😂
One of their best songs. ❤
This is one of my fav Stones songs, by far. The horns just take it to another level.
There was another Mick in the band who was responsible for the great guitar parts and the band's incisive sound...Mick Taylor!
The Mick Taylor era was my favorite, and IMO, the best music they ever put out.
One of the greatest rock and roll band in history. This is a great , fantastic song.
Emotional Rescue. Such an odd song but I love it!
Me too
Best band in rock and roll history! Theirs is the rabbit hole well worth getting lost in 🤘

Billy Preston 😊
This song is amazing
Every song on this album is great, Goat's head soup
The great Mick Taylor shines. ✨
Favorite Stones tune!! It's got it all!!!
Around this time, the Stones refused NYPD security for their shows. Always surprising, the most unique rock band.
RIP, Charlie Watts.
Maximum Rock & Roll!
Absolute BANGER, this song goes extra hard
"Bitch" is another by the boys with some ass-kickin' horns and "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'" has a great sax solo by Bobby Keys.
And guitar solo by Mick Taylor
The original title of this song was "Starfucker" but the label made them change it s[ it could be printed on the record label. It was also called "Star Star."
Incorrect. There is a song called Star, Star
@lourenzi8820 Gee...I haven't looked at a Stones album/CD. In 15 years, or so. Senility must be creeping up on me in my old age.
@mikeeckel2807 I hear ya, brother. My garage band used to play Star,Star. Give it a listen, fun song. Lol
Great song, good memories. Thanks for this reaction!

This was a big hit!
Classic stones song
Buncha great songs on Exile On Main Street are good and have horns-Bobby Keys/Jim Price. All Down The LIne, Rocks Off, Happy
I'm so old I have this album. 😎 PEACE
Great reaction great jamming song with a sad message
Loving your reactions and analysis

Good Reaction 👍
I always forget what's on Goats Head Soup. I'll have to play it. Been ages.
This was written about an actual event. Apparently the NYPD weren’t thrilled about it.
Who else was singing along to this song?
I can't be the only one 😗☺🤩
Just the backup . With very few exceptions Mick does the vocals solo,
Was that you I heard?
@@AliasMark69 lol , how did you know I started to sing har har
@@bugvswindshield It's in our blood now, we can't help it, We are Classic Rockers for life.
@@AliasMark69 heh, ya. I accepted that about 15 years ago. New songs are blah blah, auto tune and blah.
Cool! Dig the wah-wah pedal. For another killer Stones tune filled with blistering horn lines also check out "Bitch" from their Sticky Fingers album.
Gimme Shelter
“Pink and Velvet”…David Gilmore+ Berlin……just a suggestion ………
Have you listened to “Gimme Shelter” yet? If not, it’s a must. ❤

About the police in New York shooting and killing a young person walking in the park. Mistaken identity. The stones never shyed away from controversy.
I think that's Billy Preston on organ.
Actually title is Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker). 😊
Yeah, that's how he titled this video.

That was from 1973, I believe, and its message is all too relevant these days as well.
