The big thing I don't like about my Gym Pal is that it does NOT show you animations of how to perform the exercise, only stats on the screen. I know the software is still new, but they really need to implement this feature.
Yeah, based on how often updates come out and their interest in improving, I have to imagine they will get there.
You mentioned it learns your weight choices and adjusts the next time you do that exercise. But will it adjust and suggest new weight over time like a personal trainer to help you progress? Thanks!
I don't remember it doing that, but I can honestly tell you... I don't like it. The Tonal does it, and it often makes a change after 2 sets when I am fatiguing and not ready to make a jump. I would much rather it pulls up my last lift amount, I can adjust as I see fit for where I am at, and then it again remembers that for the next time. It can be a neat features, but I honestly did not enjoy it nearly as much as I thought I would.

My pleasure and I really do. I don't do extremely wide squats but I am a wider person and it felt fine to me. Might be worth looking at the dimensions just in case you think it might not work for you.
@Learnwithtravis Great review! How long did your order take to get to you? How much does it weigh (someone said the specs on the website are incorrect)? I’m concerned I won’t even be able to pull it into the house myself.
Thank you! They sent it to me for a review so I don't know if I followed the normal delivery model or not. I am part of a Facebook group they have about deliveries and it seems to be speeding up. It includes the Gym Monster but I see it ranging from a couple weeks to a couple months. I have not weighed it but it is on wheels and not bad to move around unless you are going up and down stairs. Hope that helps!

I just ordered the Speediance Gym Pal, but am concrened given the reviews that I have seen surrounding the company's lack of customer support and responsiveness. Have you had any issues with the company or do you have any quality concerns? I am thinking about cancelling my order and going with a Vitruvian+ Trainer. I know the Vitruvian is significantly more expensive but they are more established and seem to be responsive to customers.
I have not had to reach out to customer service so not sure on that one. For the most part, I don’t have concerns. My kids love it, but they are little and not easy on the machine. Yet, it still works like new. My wife has also taken a liking to it and it is doing great. When I got it, the plastic used to make the accessories felt cheap and I was sure they would break, it again, no issues. They also make a lot of updates and are constantly improving it. Been a pretty good experience from my end.
Can it be used without subscription fully?
It's so expensive right hoping it drops in price some. It's kinda ridiculously priced now.
I believe everyone gets full access without a subscription right now. I would still check with them but if true, that is a huge advantage over competitors.
Sounds good but what’s bothering is two things: first the machine is not manufactured here and already there have been people on Facebook wanting to cancel orders that are taking too long and second I’ve been trying to contact them on their website to no avail. Will this be another company like Tonal that is facing financial uncertainty !
Very valid concerns. I did ask them about the shipping delays, and they were very honest with me. Shipping from China was problematic. So, they are working towards distribution centers in the US to fulfil customer orders. Should dramatically improve that situation.
I think it’s about location. Some people got their product in 2-3 weeks and some 6-8 weeks. Overall, everyone get their product even if it take a while from what I’m reading. I think the customer service isn’t great and the tracking system for shipment is not properly updated. One person said the status on their order said awaiting shipment. He was frustrated that his order had not shipped yet but 2 days later it was delivered. Obviously he was happy he got his product but his tracking status still said awaiting shipping even the day after it was delivered. But overall from what I’m reading, once everyone got their equipment, they were very happy and pleased. I’m considering ordering myself but I’m not going to expect to receive it right away. I anticipate a 4-6 week delivery. If it come sooner, perfect. If it takes 6 weeks, at least I expected that.
Great feedback! I think they are getting better but you may be on to something. Slow delivery depending on location but what you get is great so worth the wait.
@MelissaLona Is that for the gym pal or the gym monster? As far as I know no one has received a Gym Pal yet, but first batch is expected to ship September 15th according to an email I received several days ago
Can you tell me what the maximum load capacity of an individual is that can used on this piece of equipment within manufacturers warranty?
Tried to find it but could not find anything. I would message their support team to make sure you get the right answer.

What about Bowflex and total gym both are cheaper and work well !!! I have both of them and use them both!!!
Not knocking them as options. How you use them and the resistance you get from them is very different. So it all depends on your goals and what you are hoping to get out of the system.

There isn't much of a comparison. Digital weight is much smoother and consistent throughout the entire ROM.

The gym pal is not 55lb, its 75lb heavy. Their website says the device is 55lb, thats a scam, a blatant lie to convince people to buy it, until they realize its that heavy, its too late and hard to return. And its not just a typo, because they wont change it despite i have enailed them about the discrepancy.
I would buy it if it went higher in weight

There is Squatz/Motion Space (both rebranding of a generic Chinese model) that go up to about 265lbs of resistance. Remember digital resistance is harder than free weights so probably close to 300lbs in felt weight. Both are cheaper than this machine too, I believe.

Problem with this you need a spotter or something during bench press.
It has spotter mode built in!

@@jasontan7920 As you do the lift, if you are unable to continue and get stuck, it detects this and reduces the weight so you can continue through the set.
