I think makeup tutorials these days are so much about products rather than being about different makeup looks, which is what I prefer. Beautiful makeup look , btw
I couldn’t agree more. I so preferred when makeup related UA-camrs experimented with different colour combos/an unusually dark lip/quirky geometric eyeliner etc. In saying that, I do enjoy the softer base nowadays in comparison to the full glam, matte version. For me personally, a sheerer base with pops of colour on eyes/lips is the winner.
I LOVE how you used classic holy grail products. It reminded me of how UA-cam makeup videos used to be before all the ads and sponsors. 💜
I love powder highlight. That makes me sad if it's on the way out. I guess I'll just be the tacky old lady rocking it lol.

Elanna, you need to try the new Nars Light Reflecting foundation! I've been a huge fan of Nars Sheer Glow but the new light reflecting foundation is amazing!!

powder highlighter is DEF on the way out. i rarely see anyone use them on all platforms, hollywood flawless filter is also my most natural and nicest highlgither!!

I also hv the same thought with u.. no matter how much new foundation right now..I found myself always going back to nars sheer glow. I hv normal-dry skin, but the formula is a perfect match on my skin. Easy to blend, smooth, dewy but not over, long lasting.. just love it! Hopefully ur multiple stick can shipping to southeast asia particullar in malaysia. Love the color.

So many good choices Elanna. Finjan was a buy because of you and the Too Faced bronzer is still one of the best (never orangey). MAC for mattes is still my favourite brand. 🦋🦋
I really don't like CT Hollywood Filter. Makes my skin very cakey and dry after washing it off and I'm getting pimples from it. But I will give it another try and will put it on like you did in that video. I usually used it as full face base under my Nars Tinted Moisturizer. ..maybe it was just too much product. Thank you for this💕
I’m also a huge fan of the CT hff, it’s just so good! I use under foundation, mixed w foundation, highlight on top, I also love to mix with my concealer because helps to blend & melt it into my skin seamlessly
What concealer are you mixing with it? I have a really hard time with concealers and own the flawless filter already- I hate it on my face it with foundation, but maybe with concealer!!! It’s currently not working with my own. What concealers have you used that worked??
@@crystaldingman773 my latest fave combo has been with elf hydrating camo. But I’ve also used it with CT’s magic away & too faced born this way. Basically when I’m looking to sheer out the concealer a bit- it tends to plays nicer with the flawless filter mixed in. I’d love to know how it works for you ♥️

I love everything you used but I think I like the Bars cream bronzer or Channel bronzer or Charlotte Tilburg cream browsers better. Thank you for sharing.

Going to stick my head over the parapet to say that while I don't exactly HATE Hollywood Flawless Filter, for me it's absolutely not worth the money. I got the L'Oréal Glow Cherie lotion (after you recommended it in one of your videos!) and enjoyed it so I thought I would love HFF as they are similar, but I just always find myself reaching for the Glow Cherie over HFF because it's easier to work with and gives an even better glow for me. 🤷♀️
I want to try the Hollywood flawless filter but I think I’ll give the L’Oréal a chance first

I don't love the Hollywood flawless filter because it breaks me out 😔 sad because it looks gorgeous. There are also some foundations from Charlotte that break me out so I don't know. Love the video tho! 😍

I love the Flawless filter and usually mix mine in with my foundation :). I guess I'm one of the few that still wears powder highlighter haha, but only because I still like to set everything, so it goes over my already set face :).

I do!!! I hate it. The flawless filter feels gross on my face. Emphasizes all my pores. Makes my foundations look “makeupy” and makes me look like a greasy disco ball no matter how little I use
Sorry to say but I didn’t like the bronzer and the blush on you, way too much application. Didn’t blend in with your skin tone.
