It's always hard filming inside. Try finding a camera (preferably a DSLM camera in stead of a video camera since they have bigger sensors) with a wider lens. As a viewer it's a bit disorienting if you keep panning the camera side to side. I get you want to show everything inside the ride, but for me at least I'd like to fugure out the configuration of the ride, so I personally prefer a more straight on filming. Great job though, love seeing these rides!
Looks like a fun ride, and the price was good too! Don’t be sorry about the dark areas, it’s a haunted dark ride lol. Thanks for sharing and thumbs up as always!
I road this when I was 5 with my twin brother. I'm 31 now, and its still one of our favorite memories. This ride shaped our love for halloween props and scary movies!
Thank you for the memories! I rode this as a kid when we'd visit my grandmother in Delaware. I turn 50 tomorrow, so this ride has been around a long time!
I went there in the early 90s with my dad when the cars were still on the ground. I remember the truck at the end very vividly. They really did good revamping and renovating everything
I've been there once. I went on vacation to visit my uncle in the military. Hes in Germany now but it was am amazing dark ride. I loved it. I was 12. Now I'm 15. Ahh memories
My hometown haunted house! One of the perks of growing up in a beach town, hahaha. The sound of the overhead track conjures up some pretty powerful memories
Started riding this ride in 1980. I swear it looks exactly same. When it’s perfect- why mess with it! I can’t wait to go back this summer and ride it again.
I like how you keep exiting the building so outsiders can see you. “Oh! There goes Bill again. He looks grayer this second time. Must be scary in there”
JPVideos glad you liked it! We are friends with the owner and they put probably the most time into maintaining that attraction then almost all of the other rides to make sure its always running.
Ridden that dozens of times since I was a kid. Fun fact: if you read Tom Clancy's "Patriot Games" (I *think* that's the one) there's a chase scene thru there and a jump off that second balcony onto the Boardwalk.
My brother made me get on this earlier. Yeah no, never again. My God that was horrifying, lmao. I'll ride any thrill ride with 0 hesitation, I play vr horror games every day, my favorite genre is horror, but this? THIS is what gets me? Not sure why, but it does.
This is so cool. Imagine what a large company like universal or Disney could do if they actually tried to make a real “horror” (not the haunted mansion) experience.
I went on this ride for the first time last summer (2019) . I’m an old school monster kid and I loved it ! I even bought the overpriced T-Shirt (haha). My next visit I will ride it again! Thanks for posting.
So everything you saw in there is actually hand made by the family members. Anytime it breaks the same people that made it can fix even the biggest problems on it very quickly!
i lived in Delaware but moved 3 years ago so every year we go to Delaware for 4th of july and we go to the haunted house you cant see anything because trust me its REALLY dark but its really fun!
I think the thing that keeps these rides from being great is no storyline. It’s just one random scare after another. I’d love to see one of these rides where’s there’s an actual beginning to end story.
I grew up going to funland.... This is the best hands down haunted mansion ride ( also my first and most ridden lol ) there are parts such as the end that will no matter how old I get or who I am with, even though I know what happens always gets me!!!! sooooo cool ( I am 42)
It's an awesome ride, It's been over 20 years since I've ridden it, but it's well worth it! I can't wait to ride it again eventually when I come visit Rehoboth! Also for some good food on the boardwalk check out Nicola's Nico-Bolis! Delish!
I've been on 2 rides similar to this 1. The Devil's Den at Conneaut Lake park in PA 2. The Wacky Shack at Waldameer in Erie PA I really enjoy rides like this more parks should have them!
I've been riding this since I was a kid in the 90s. I haven't been in years. So excited I'm finally going back in just a couple of weeks after years of not going.
That was very cool, for a smaller dark ride to have the floating cars attached with track above is very different and neat. Feels like you are flying. I love dark rides but haven’t seen it that way beyond Peter Pan. Ride. This also looked way above the average ride. Thanks for sharing!! Cool
Just subscribed. Really like your Dark Ride reviews. I like how you ride it and THEN make the comments. Gives the viewer a chance to formulate an opinion instead of having it shoved down our throat by someone who can't shut up during the ride. Very cool. Keep up the cool vids! From a fellow Vlogger.
I'm with you. Never knew Rehoboth had a haunted house. We've been there almost ad much as O.C. Not to mention a few family members had beach houses in Long Neck. Thanks for sharing...🍻
Wow that was the best I've ever seen as far as the special effects and jump scares go. That flippin train really made me jump lol. Brilliant, thank you. x
I rode this in 2015, it's a cool ride although I remember being dissapointed it didn't have a coaster section I was hoping for when it started going uphill to start, the way most wacky shacks do. That's my only critique, it's a fun dark ride that not enough people have experienced.
The best dark rides, or Halloween jump scare walk-thrus, that deal with Gothic haunted issues and the supernatural / macabre. are far better than those disgusting ones that focus on blood, violence, gore, and psycho themes.
“There’s quite a few people in line for this ride, so it must be pretty popular.” Me, who has visited Rehoboth every summer since I was an infant: “Dude, I have NEVER seen Funland with so few people in line!”
Gotten too old.. have bought too many Spirit Halloween animatronics... Oh well.. I can still remember being a kid before all the 'buy it / do it yourself'.. and it was great! This one looks top of it's class!
Dude I'm here because I wanted to see what was going on while my eyes were closed, and its actually creeping me out that a lof of this happened right next to me, and I didn't even realize it.
EARTH ANGEL😇🧟♀️. THIS WAS a great fun house 🧟♂️dark-ride!!!👺 YES, much better than previous one!💀 THOSE creatures that “JUMP “ out at you really wake you up!😱.THIS place looked 👀.”clean”, too! I like the horror-house at West where they discovered that one of the “DISPLAYS “ inside Was actually a long-dead human corpse!,,😱💀☠️ THAT, was awful but true!!!🙀. Great Video!! 🎃😍👍👍👍
If you like this be sure to check out Rye Playland in NY. They have two classic darkrides that bring back memories of 1980s Wildwood. They have an Italian Haunted Mansion called "The Flying Witch" which is very impressive with props that come at you very quick. Then there is a Bill Tracy-like ride called Zombie Castle which features cars that speed up around the bends, and ramps for the cars to wobble over (similar to Bill Tracy's Wacky Shack on Hunts Pier). Both are impressive and worth riding more then once. The park is also POP so you can just get back in line when you come out and ride it again. Highly recommended!
Camera didnt do it justice. The suspended ride system was really great. Made for a unique ride experience. I saw several one of a kind props and animatronics. Great overall dark ride. I will film it again once i get a better low light camera.
Sorry about the dark areas, some rooms were barely lit. I do plan on getting a new camera next year that works better in low light.
Any plans on hitting Terror Behind The Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary?
Sometime, but probably not this year.
Get night vision

@@remconet you mean dslr. I have a better camera now with a wide angle lens and will be refilming this.
Looks like a fun ride, and the price was good too! Don’t be sorry about the dark areas, it’s a haunted dark ride lol. Thanks for sharing and thumbs up as always!
The skeleton bus driver I remember from THE HAUNTED CASTLE 1978 Santa Cruz Calif. which is another fantastic dark ride. Thanks for the vid
Clint Bronson 5 I went on dat today and that was one of the things that made me jump
I never went on the old haunted castle, but the new one amazing. It's my childhood ride.
I use to ride the haunted house in funland for years when I went to Rehoboth for vacation as a kid , I just turned 60 .
I road this when I was 5 with my twin brother. I'm 31 now, and its still one of our favorite memories. This ride shaped our love for halloween props and scary movies!

Wish i knew about this sooner.
Started riding this ride in 1980. I swear it looks exactly same. When it’s perfect- why mess with it! I can’t wait to go back this summer and ride it again.
I hope to ride it again this year

Good fun! Thx 4taking us along!
Glad you check these out for us! And have fun doing it.
Dammit some of those jump scares got me 😲
😁
That was very impressive.
Never heard of this ride. I'm a dark ride fan, 68 years old and will be trying it this Summer!
My brother made me get on this earlier.
Yeah no, never again. My God that was horrifying, lmao. I'll ride any thrill ride with 0 hesitation, I play vr horror games every day, my favorite genre is horror, but this? THIS is what gets me? Not sure why, but it does.
Good ride! Lots of fun. Thanks for dragging us along!
This is so cool. Imagine what a large company like universal or Disney could do if they actually tried to make a real “horror” (not the haunted mansion) experience.
Haunted mansion is cool and all, but I mean if like they didn’t hold any punches
They are supposedly making the ultimate monsters dark ride now....
Another awesome dark ride!!! So glad you are taking me along with so I can experience the ride!!! Thank you Jay!!!
Thanks for joining me😁
@@JPVideos81 my pleasure 😊
Popped in here a few times growing up.. favorite haunted ride, hands down.
Great job Jay!
👍
Looked fun.
I’ve been there it was pretty fun I used to live in Delaware and used to go to the beach all the time.
I went on this ride for the first time last summer (2019) . I’m an old school monster kid and I loved it ! I even bought the overpriced T-Shirt (haha). My next visit I will ride it again! Thanks for posting.
👍
Welcome to haunted mansion and really scared you right now like a goosebumps fans and horror movies get spooky fun
So everything you saw in there is actually hand made by the family members. Anytime it breaks the same people that made it can fix even the biggest problems on it very quickly!
That train is awesome
i lived in Delaware but moved 3 years ago so every year we go to Delaware for 4th of july and we go to the haunted house you cant see anything because trust me its REALLY dark but its really fun!
I agree with the comment before mine!!!! Looks like a great time!!!

Knoebels Haunted mansion has a storyline
I used to go on that ride with my friends when I was a teenager, and I just went on it again the other day. I'm now 48. Kinda cool.
This has to be a dream! So many dark rides!!!
Glad you're liking them.
Awesome love the video ,great fun for the family.thanks for sharing.
I went to this this ride and boardwalk one of the best experiences of my life😊
I made my first trip to Ocean City MD this past weekend ... next time I'm there, I'll remember to swing by Rehoboth Beach on the way back.
I'm due back for an update myself.
Disney is going to love this.
Awesome ride! Wish I wasn't so far away. (Minnesota.)
Looks pretty fantastic
Cool, thank you for the video. Cheers
Wow! I like how the cart moved and turned constantly and the sound effects were great. Lots of unusual sights there.
Loved the ride concept. Very unique.
I grew up going to funland.... This is the best hands down haunted mansion ride ( also my first and most ridden lol )

Very awesome JP. Loved it.
🙂
Looks awesome. Love rides like that.
Quite a long ride too...impressive.
Wow! That ride was a huge improvement over that other dark ride you went to. The overhead suspension thing gave me a Disney vibe.
Yes, thats the first thing that came to mind.
The hooded ghost in the beginning is pretty cool.
I've been on that! It is a good haunted house!
I've been on 2 rides similar to this 1. The Devil's Den at Conneaut Lake park in PA 2. The Wacky Shack at Waldameer in Erie PA I really enjoy rides like this more parks should have them!

Wow, so cool! !! Love it.
I enjoy these. Thank you. I hope you can eventually explore using a low light camera. Those work really well for dark rides.

Thank you. Check out my dark rides playlist to see more.
My cousins and I go on this ride every summer . We have been on it so many times we literally know where the camera is so we can pose for it😂
One the best i ve seen👍
Next time I get to Rehoboth, I'm riding this one!
I'm with you. Never knew Rehoboth had a haunted house. We've been there almost ad much as O.C. Not to mention a few family members had beach houses in Long Neck.
Thanks for sharing...🍻
Now that i know its there, ill be be revisiting it.
Great video thank you
Nice, you can always tell when they've made an effort. 👌
I saw this ride in my dreams. I have never once seen this ride until watching this video today.
Wow that was the best I've ever seen as far as the special effects and jump scares go. That flippin train really made me jump lol. Brilliant, thank you. x
This is one of my new favorite dark rides. Camera didnt do it justice.
Even so it still has amazing special effects.
Thank you for shouting me out. It means a whole lot.
You're welcome. I appreciate the info.
Pleasure :)
This is like the 90s Halloween party in the neighborhoods!
I rode this in 2015, it's a cool ride although I remember being dissapointed it didn't have a coaster section I was hoping for when it started going uphill to start, the way most wacky shacks do. That's my only critique, it's a fun dark ride that not enough people have experienced.
I was so mad as a kid in 2002 the ride was broken down and never got a chance.now I can see it digitally LOL
Nice haunted house ride. Thanks for another great video😊
Cool video
Another Great Video!!

Awesome video
This is kinda funny! you can see some similar yet different things for WDW Haunted Mansion
yes i have the haunted mansion dooney purses with the same wallpaper lol, and the leggings they totally used some of the same decorations

It was great 'talking' to u on the live stream last night.
Same to you. Made for a great night.
JPVideos ❤️❤️
I haven't ridden this one, but now I really want too! A lot of good scares! :D
2:45 is that the Gravitron? That takes me back.
I only rode it once. When I was little I would try to avoid it like crazy but when I was older, I rode it and I had my eyes closed the whole time

So spooky 😱😱😱😱😱
I wish I could find more information on how it was built. So fascinating, the use of overhead track!!! I’d love to recreate an updated dark ride.
I'd love a behind the scenes tour
Maybe it's better in person, but for me, it left a lot to be desired. I feel more on edge and scared walking in to work lol!
agree

I've been in the haunted mansion all the time and I've been jumpscared a lot too and being jumpscared is fun
3:52 that same sound was featured in an episode of Expedition Bigfoot!
Thanks for the video 🎥 it's amazing
looked like fun
