I had a Maltese tiny ,
we came from Mo.,move to Okla. 2015 .Daphanne (Maltese) was born
May 21,1998 ,was laid to rest November27, 2020".
She was my daughter, she was there when I would get sick,if I may had a
blue day,and so forth,
most of all she knew how to make the pain go away, lift my spirits made me feel love, and now I call her my Angel".
I miss you ,I'm so happy I was there till the end". I know you're on the other side with your family".Love ,Mommy
Sorry for your loss 🙏🙏
I love that your number one is a shelter dog. In my experience, shelter dogs and cats are so grateful and loving.
#adoptdontshop
Well please tell me who has $1500 to spare? I called a shelter and that's what they told me.Thats insane
Thanks for ruining the ending!
I love all animals but I am very fond of the shelter dog. Thanks for making it #1.
It's funny how most seniors want one small and calm dog and then there's my grandad with a really energetic German Shepherd, 20 something bunnies, 5-6 parrots and two cats he really likes animals
Your grandad is the best 👍🏻😊
I'm 76, ready for another dog, vacillating between Vizsla and Labrador. No ankle biters for me. I need a jogging buddy!
Great video. I've been looking for a new companion pup for about a year. Have tried to go through one of our local shelters. The process has become extremely difficult. I am disabled and find it very hard to get to the shelter multiple times having to depend on friends for transport.it's a shame, there is a dog out there missing out on a good home
I’ m considering a greyhound. Though they are large , they sleep for close to 20 hours each day. Very quiet and contained.
They wouldn’t be demanding of you physically... seem to need just the three walks a day unless you need a small dog with just paper pad training. Best o’ luck!
Call the shelters first and talk to them
@@mandyunger3878 jeeze, I bet that never entered her mind
Boston Terriers might be all right for active seniors but they are balls of energy! I received a Boston puppy for Christmas last year and he is too much for me. I will keep him and am doing the best that I can but he really needs a young person. They do love children!
Thanks for sharing!!
I have a Chihuahua and she’s five years old and she’s a perfect lapdog for me
BROOKLYN COLMENERO ❤❤❤
I totally agree! Chihuahuas are excellent!
Chihuahuas are the absolute BEST!!!
This is a great list for people with disabilities too. Even though I don’t own a dog on this list. My Cavoodle puppy Zelda is great companion to my partner and I as we both have Cerebral Palsy
Animal Facts, I am in love with your channel videos, would you please do all about quality of dog foods Kibbles pros cons???
Maltese is my favorite breed. I had a maltese named Alyssa Rose Duncan for 16 years she was my heart.
Pam Duncan ❤❤❤
I have a Havamalt (Havanese and Maltese mix) and would highly recommend, so sweet and loving, doesn't shed, needs little exercise.
My Maltese Snowy girl who is 10 yrs is my BFF and my daughter that I've never had in my life! Our bonding grows stronger every month & year especially sleeping and loving together! I've had her for 2yrs and I'm hoping to have her for 8 more yrs since I just hit 68 yrs with all of my family deceased for the last 20 yrs!
Being Alone with No One to Love or Care for really really sucks!😇🤟👍
@@walt3772 If you get this, 20 yrs is too long to be alone. There is a lady somewhere who needs you.
Chinese Crested dogs….the original Velcro dog ….super quiet and with skin like
velvet..💖
i love that yor #1 is the pound puppy!!! they are the ones, i go for ! wuff!
kleo kleopatra ❤❤❤
Great vid! I think these dogs are great for anyone not just seniors.
Denise Herud ❤❤❤
Great video. I miss Coton de Tulear though.
I like the best a shelter dog out of all of them that you mentionEd on this list
Amazing video as always!! I think you could add and the pug.
I think so too!
My Jack Russell Millie lives with my parents and my parents are seniors
I love boston teriers
I loved it.
Mother Earth Green ❤❤❤
I agree with shelter dog--everyone should go to a shelter if they want a dog. I have had or been around all he above dogs and the long haired takes money and ability to drive to groomer. You left out the short haired Dachshund which is a loving, adorable and loyal dog. I have had two as rescues and they were the best small dog and easy care if you look up all the facts about the dog and follow the advice. They let you know if anyone is approaching your home so good for safety also.
Great choices, yo. Thank you. ♥️🦋
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you
Well I've listened to quite a few of these videos on different breeds but so far nothing about the, from my point of view, the best dog I've ever had - my Jack Russell - wouldn't swop him for any other breed!
The ending is the BEST dog 🐶... #adoptdontshop
I want a toy poodle. They didn't even mention them----
Great video! Have you thought about doing a video on exotic pets?
You didn’t mention toy poodle. I’ve had one for years. 😷
A great choice for active seniors for sure.
I want a toy poodle. I'm 67 and have never had a dog before, olny alot of cats& I haven't had a cat in years either, but I want a little toy poodle sooooo much !
Wonderful video ❤ What do you think about dachshunds? In my opinion, dachshunds are great dogs for both, young and older people ❤🐾🐕
I love them. Had 3 of them in my life. Great little dogs.
@@AnimalFacts the best dogs !!!! Very smart and also comical .. but the back issues /I don’t like many of the breeds mentioned here and would rather have a cat … but Doxies and Corgis are great 😊
I never see shelties do you have any films on shelties
Dachshund are the best … however the back problems are a big deal .. I also would have a Cardigan Welch Corgi or Beagle ..,
Dog ramp would be great so they can climb in and out of your bed without hurting their back.
Hello
Which small dog breeds do you think are best for seniors?
I think your list was pretty good but I think you forgot the mutt and the pug
Maltese, poodle,& Maltapoo
@@priscillasharp8582 Havanese, Havapoos and Havamalts too!! So sweet and nonshedding!
Mine is a papillon.
Pomeranian
Hmm, the only actual seniors I saw were those at the end when talking about getting a shelter dog. 🙄 The other people interacting with the dogs sure didn't seem to be seniors. 😁
Kind of the one downfall of using broll footage from stock sites.
I know Jesus, let me live Lewis!
And what about poodles (canishes)? No one talks about. Is there any restriction?
Poms....poodles...and best guard dog is sharpai.
This may sound nuts! But, is there someplace where I could "rent" a dog just to see if that is the way to go. I may have a romantic notion about having a dog since I have never had one except when we were growing up and my parent did the heavy lifting 😊
Many shelters will allow you to foster a dog at home before adopting it permanently.
@@AnimalFacts 👍🐄
Contact your loçal Shelters or Rescues to get Trained to foster a dog .
and Pugs
It seems advisable for people who have low budgets or transportation problems to not get a breed that needs grooming from a professional, such as shizus, or poodles.
you should add pugs and puggles to this list
Pug or Boston Terrier
Add is not playing I’m stuck cannot see
UA-cam is having technical difficulties.
Of course you can teach an old dog new tricks! That is just a myth
Absolutely! I have done that many times
Yeah it's a myth, but it's a conversation starter ;-)
@@AnimalFacts LOL
Brussels Griffon not Griffin.
Yeah, unfortunately I didn't catch that before i published.
Ii
You forgot mutt and pug
Pretty much lump the mutt in with the shelter dog.
Here not Hare
Whoops. Thanks for catching.
