Congratulations on the 10k! I replaced the Krieg heads on my Veteran Guard squad with Anvil Industry heads and I needed to use a 3.5mm drill bit to drill the Krieg necks out of their bodies, that was a pain and I'm glad I was only doing it for a kill team and not an army.

Absolutely amazing work. Loving the lore as your army grows. One of the things i still love about 40k despite my hatred of GW is all of the lore for the setting. There are so many cool ideas out there and all it takes is someone with some crafting gear and an imagination.

Great video as always. Lidl do a good Dremel like multi tool. USB charging and range of rotation speeds. Even comes with a set of sanding snd carving bits.
I've always wondered where all the leather comes from... Also, why some forces , like space marines would use leather instead of something synthetic due to the armor plates rubbing and pinching.
An idea you could carve the tau emblem in the big circle spots on the shields maybe in the center of their chest or for the chest a symbol to represent that unit type
I have had ideas of doing similar "human integrated into the Tau" kitbashes, although less extensive than these. I plan on just putting some human boots on regular firewarrior models and call it good lol. Although, I was thinking about making a human fireblade like you did here, but using most of the actual fireblade kit, just replacing the head, boots, and the arm holding the knife. Does anyone have any suggestions for a human kit that has maybe a Sargent or some other model that has an arm pointing straight out while holding a cigar between their fingers? very specific detail, I know.

I'll have to take a look at that to see if I can find what I'm looking for. the main issue I see coming up though is the torso positioning for the fireblade model is posed with the arm raised over the head in mind, so pointing forward might look a little weird, might have to make the hand pointing off to the side or something.
I own a 3d printer so I do a lot of digital kitbashing. I have my own slowly growing tau force that I call The Overcast Coalition which is very heavy on auxiliaries. Would you mind terribly if a squad or two of the Amican 1st joined them in their desperate defense against a splinterfleet?

I like these. I wondered if using a SoB kit would give a more feminine body shape. But maybe the vibe would be too obviously SoB. Also, I was wondering if you could make Human auxilliaries to match the kroot models, maybe use the catachan models. And kitbash some little buggies for the Krootox. Hounds could be hounds. And you can make a human equivalent for the Shaper. Now that I say all this, it sounds like really achievable - thinking about it.
Some one commented on the last one where are the ladies so I thought that’s I’d make some, it stands to reason if they’re recruiting for a gue’vesa they wouldn’t discriminate based on gender
Vis a vis the nature of the blade you use. I worked in an industry where there were more injuries to hands and arms due to blunt knife blades than properly honed ones. Why? Because a blunt blade was harder to cut with and frequently deflected when it hit a change in density of material. If you are cutting yourself on fresh blades your technique is poor.

I’m pretty sure the cadian command squad have a pointing hand and a cigar head or hand, can’t remember which.

Dremels are absolutely worth it. I use a cheap 20$ one off Amazon and it works great and has for months
