Thank you. What kind of camper do you have? What kind of propane prices are you paying?

The propane regulator on the front of your trailer is called an "Auto Change Over Regulator."
Proper operation requires you to fully open both tanks.
    - Point the lever or dial at one tank (as the primary tank)
    - the system will draw from the primary until it is empty.
    - when the primary tank is empty, it will automatically switch over and draw from the second tank.
    - the gauge will change from GREEN to RED, indicating the primary is now empty.
    - Proper operation ensures your furnace doesn't stop in the middle of the night, or while cooking. The gauge changes color, so you know exactly when the tank is empty so you can get it refilled.
☆☆☆☆ Never set this style regulator in the middle to draw of both tanks. It is not designed to work that way and my cause it to malfunction.

Thank you for watching and for the information. I am on the newer side of camper life. I was told to not leave both tanks open in case of a leak I may run the risk of losing both tanks instead of just one. But in the case of the heater during the night that makes sense. What kind of camper do you have? What do you normally pay for propane?

@GReviewz No worries, we were all new at some point. I'm located in Ontario, Canada. Buy most of our propane at Costco. We started in tents and gradually worked up to owning a park model on a seasonal site in Canada near Lake Huron not far from Port Huron, Michigan. Retired, but used to work in the service side for a large RV dealer. On the subject of leaks , since 1998, all propane tanks have a built-in OPD valve that does 2 things, prevents overfilling, and automatically stops excessive flow from leaks. Another safety is ethyl mercapton, a chemical that is added to propane to give it the rotton egg smell so that leaks can be easier to detect.

It’s $3.49 here in Idaho at TSC.

Thank you for watching and sharing. I’m glad to see I am not the only one that uses tsc. I’m surprised the price varies. Good to know. What kind of rig do you have?
