I knew a bear who liked to hangout around picnic areas. He loved to raid those "picanic baskets".
Steel pipes are gold always grab them, the loot boxes do respawn, get your storage to before the kitchen because storage will become an issue fast and it comes with four more storage boxes, and you'll know when you get close to a bear because in the top middle of the screen you'll see an eye icon show up. Oh and there is currently no hunting in the game
I like the art style for sure. It does have some similarities to Long Dark and that's not a bad thing.
Bots
Some of the loot that you pickup respawns the next day.
Once you build that attic storage room you get access to 5 big storage boxes and also a room up there that needs to be build for sewing and you can craft a bigger backpack with more storage and also protective raincoats.
Great looking game would love to see more for sure.

woo-hoo you've got the game i suggested that's awesome isn't this game beautiful i have completed everything in this game accept i have to unlock the whole map(working on that now) and the final set of clothing bee's wax is very hard to find hold onto it like gold
Your fog setting was on High. Turn it down a notch maybe. To craft the attic all you needed was nails (you can make those) and planks ) easy peasy with the axe. Go back and lockpick at the towers ;) . Follow the river to find driftwood. MORE!!!!!
your vid for Empyrion was the first vid i saw of the game think it was your season 9.. been hooked since, and because of you i got 7 days to die and The forest and Journey of life, now the new ones Survivalist and now this... going broke man lol Thanks for the time you put into it.
Definitely should play more, I really want to see the house upgraded more!!!

I actually found enough sticks and fir lumber in the general area around house to do the initial repair/build. That's nice that you don't have to travel to kingdom come to get the initial start going!
Epic is really trying to get a part of the survivalist-genre pie. So many games have come up in this genre. Art style is amazing but will see how things shape up.
Epic owns Unreal Engine which most survival games are build on, they already get their % from sales regardless of the platform its sold on.

The music and the sound of the running water while you were playing around next to the river so tranquil probably could have fallen asleep if I didn't want to see what the video was about
this game is relaxed but fun and exciting at the same time
i suggest you start working on the storage something else will unlock after that that you need and when you unlock the cooking you can then unlock growing food but be careful the last 2 boxes are bugged if you save and leave the game then reload the plants will die watch out for that also don't forget to water them they die in 1 day if you don't and i have only found 2 bears in the game and both of then stick to there area love your content cage don't stop making these insane videos
Love your videos man keep up the good work. A game for you to check out....Dead Matter. You may have heard of it. It's coming to closed Alpha near the end of July. You wont be able to make any videos on it due to the NDA but there will be single player options that I think will be right up your ally

Motion blur exists bc if u running at more than like 300fps or some treshhold like that, you get sick without motion blur

My opinion: The game looks great, but probably there isn't much content yet. Since everybody else is already covering this, and you have so many series underway... Bah, i'll watch either way xD

Is it just me or does it lag after 9:50 ? Also Kage there is a bear like directly east a bit from the house just a warning and they are huge
The art style looks nice.
But since The Forest, I like my survival games with base building. Ideally procedural base building. Or at least LEGO-style where the base parts aren't mostly huge prefabs, but are made from smaller parts.
Graphics and environment definitely give me thoughts of The Long Dark, except you didn't get attacked by any wolves.

I'm surprised you didn't check the bees nests for loot, why else would they be in the game?
Epic games are quite fine. I've gotten World War Z, Mutant Year Zero and Metro 2033, all fun to play.
And I was able to get them as ones of the free games Epic offers periodically. They are viable.
i think you should lower the graphics cause you're dropping a lot of frames

This game is visually stunning! And the non-manly description was the best you could have done. The movement in the water, and the matching mist/steam coming up is crazy good! If I'm gonna be stuck in a single player survival game I would rather it be something that is awe-inspiring to look at (like subnautica) than something that looks like trash.
I understand and support differing opinions, so you do you and enjoy this game. In my opinion these graphics are a dumpster fire compared to Subnautica and comparing them is insulting to its creators. To expand on Nesta's comment below, this more of a copy/paste and dumbing down of The Long Dark. if you like visual graphics of this style, go play that (I do in spite of it's graphics) and skip this cash grab.
@@sidewalkfarmer8648 Fair enough. I was commenting more on the fact that visually the game is something to look at that keeps your attention. Subnautica is 1000% more in terms of actual visuals but in my mind it was an easy pull for single player survival (especially since I have limited experience in that area). You're right though, different opinions and yet 100% support of yours!
I'd highly recommend checking out The Long Dark if you like this graphic style and would like something a lot more difficult in regards to survival. Atheenon would be my recommendation for someone to watch to see how the game plays. Have a great day!

Motion Blur is an old fake effect for old cards that is dated. You can't have Motion Blur and 144 FPS - 4K.
You turn it off and when you move the camera fast, it have the motion blur effect as a real effect.
So it shows that is completely useless in this game.
When I bought it I paid $16.99 and then I got a $10 coupon. It added the coupon automatically.
Me too. I was like "where did that come from?". I usually won't buy from Epic, but $6.99 is hard to argue with. If I buy it again on Steam the monetary hit won't seem as bad now.

I played easy and normal and I saw no difference between the two. I also died from the bear in each so there was that .

Cool looking game but I refuse to use epic. I was one of those who backed not one, but two games that epic sniped and I (as many) were told “you’re SOL” and I cannot morally use epic in any form.

Eh. Not impressed. Nothing different or groundbreaking. Kage always plays in the same manner as well, very repetitive. I can skip 15 min in the video and not miss anything. Either from game play or user content. Just my opinion.
