Yeah. Agree with you on those prices. My first video, so I'll support your channel as a new sub. I am a Filipina American from Detroit. Almost every dish is meant to be eaten with rice. The first dish looks like Menudo or Kaldereta. That second looks like adobo (probably cooked with both chicken and pork, cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic) . Typical dishes to try are pancit (noodles), BBQ pork skewers, lumpia (little meat rolls), bulalo (soup), tinola (chicken soup), sinigang (tamarind based soup, so a little sour but delicious) . Each dish varies from region to region. Hope you continue to try different dishes. Have fun on your journey.

The first one, I think, would be Menudo if it's cooked with diced meat and potato or if it's bigger chunks of meat and potato. It is usually Mechado, or if it includes the bones and cheesy in flavors, it is Caldereta; all of those are tomato-based cuisines. Filipinos love their chicken, so the thing you think is a duck, I think it is chicken; Filipinos, unlike the Chinese, aren't duck eaters, though we eat it when it is there. Halo-halo (Mix-mix) means assorted; you need to mix it all before you eat it to enjoy the mixed flavor of the assorted ingredients.😋😋😋

I would say you can pass as Filipino. The thing is with Filipinos, while we are predominantly Austronesian and are related to people from Indonesia, Malaysia, Champa people in Indochina, indigenous Taiwanese and even Pacific Islanders, many also have Chinese from centuries of immigration and Spanish and American genes due to colonization. There are some that are descended from pre Austronesian arrivals with the Aeta and other indigenous people of the Philippines. Even recently there have been an influx of Korean immigrants as well. So Filipinos can have varying looks and colors from light to dark brown.
