- Cyrille Vincent plays CHOPIN : Etude Op.10 n°5 "Black Key" ou "Sur les Touches Noires"
I didn't post any video for a long time (hollidays, work again, then school again for my little boy....) And I also had to build alone this terrible piece I had never played before... A great challenge for me, but time was needed !
Today, I had the opportunity to performe on a Yamaha C3 Conservatory.
I hope you will enjoy as much as I did.

Bonjour Cyrille, je tiens vraiment à vous félicitez doublement pour votre superbe performance de cette Etude.
J'ai en plus lu que les contraintes de la vie on fait que vous du arrêter de pratiquer complètement le piano durant de très nombreuses années consécutives.
Franchement quel retour magistral, c'est un plaisir de vous entendre jouer.
Frédéric CHOPIN est en plus mon compositeur préféré.

Indeed I had to train some hours cause the key touch is really not the same as on my digital piano.
It's not a new piano, it is the one I used to play on when I was young, in my last year of music studying (in 1985... OIoioio).

This piece was really interesting to work on, and indeed the fingering is big part of work !
This piano is at my parent's home, I used to practice on it in the latest 2 years of my piano studies (1985 and 1986). It was nice to recover it after 25 years !
I just hope I can find the opportunity to practice on it again soon.

About the grand piano, the problem is that once you have tasted it, you can't do without anymore (lol !)... Patience.... Nevertheless, the digital piano is better than nothing and allows to train everyday... I just need some hours to be acclimatized back to the heavy keyboard touch (especially in the "PP" playing...).

C'est trop, c'est trop... Je n'ai aucun mérite, j'ai simplement beaucoup travaillé cette pièce...A présent il faut surtout que je ne la perde pas, en la rejouant au moins 1 fois par jour... ça se complique quand il faut faire ça avec tous les autre morceaux ! (lol)...

The C3 is a pleasure to play on, compared to the digital piano, indeed. It was really hard to come back again to it after this...But I need to work more about the nuances with the C3, cause the "piano" nuances are not enough pronounced when I listen to my recording. I will take care of this next time.

Salut M'sieur Nova !... Merci beauoup pour ton message. Cette étude est un concentré de vacheries, comme la plupart des 23 autres. Mais c'est vraiment intéressant à travailler et quelle satisfaction quand ça passe à vitesse rapide !... En plus sur un C3 accordé, c'est vraiment le pied !

Well, I use a light recorder : Zoom H4n.... I still use it today as 2nd microphone, and i use 2 AKG as 1st microphones.
