    Good review mate. Something I like about your reviews/videos is that you generally do them in one take, which, to me, indicates you have done your research and generally know what you're talking about.

    Great review, very thorough. I've just bought one of these and am looking forward to taking in wild camping next week. I hadn't actually realised the sleeping bag compartment divider could be taken out of the way (I prefer one big bag!)

    Mate that pack is bloody awesome, thank you for the link, I’ll be keeping this one on my wish list for some point this year as a present off the wife hopefully haha. The idea that it can make you feel you are t carrying a heavy load is right up my street, cheers bud 👍

    I have 4 osprey bags only bag I will use for all occasions a bit expensive but well worth the money

    Great review 👍 I have 5 different types of Osprey packs and this is one of my favorites. The Kestrel 38 is the best for basic stuff. Keep up the good work.

      You won't regret it - the pack is very well made and versatile - will last you a life time if you look after it. They also hold their value well if you ever decide to sell on in the future. ATB mate

      ciaran mc. I own an Osprey pack but not that particular one but I can echo Chris’s comments about quality and features. The price of Osprey packs can be off putting but they are worth every penny. They produce some exceptional kit. I only wish I was in a position to batter my credit card to upgrade some of my other packs 😂

      They are expensive for a reason i guess Robert but worth every penny if you plan to use it a lot. I've given my card a severe battering already this week with the purchase of a few bits of msr cooking gear . Only problem now is the lockdown here has been extended for a further two weeks :(.

    My camping bag is also 65 litres, weighing in at only 1650 gms, which is why I bought it but this looks a real good pack as well, decent make as well. I have just finished work this morning and now on my 5 day weekend, shame there is nowhere to go! Cheers Alan

      That's a light pack for 65L mate - this things is a beast at 2.2Kg but their back system really does work.

    Both this pack and the granite gear blaze 60 have brilliant reviews and take alternatively 1st and 2nd places in several reviews. I could not decide so bought them both! The Osprey worked well on a 45 day trek last Autumn in Nepal. Dont like the pockets on it as things on a trek can fall out but it gets 95% plus rating from me. Brilliant review from this channel!

    Brilliant review Chris, you explain things so well. I’ve been looking at getting this pack and you’ve just sealed it for me. I should wait and go to a store for sizing but I don’t think I can wait. I’m 5’10’ so I’m going large. How tall are you and what size did you go for? Thanks for vids too.

      Hello mate - I'm 6ft exactly - I got a medium - it depends on back size apparently. If you look on the Osprey website it should give you a steer - they're adjustable anyway in any event - you won't be disappointed with it 👍

    Good review, I have looked at a lot of reviews and tried one on but the belt felt too chunky for me, I still wouldn't pass a opinion on it, but I use a frameless golite Jam so might be I am used to a softer feel on my waist

    Great review. Might want to find a place with better lighting if possible. Couldn't see the details on the pack very well on my screen.

    Buying one of these when i get payed this week, been eying one up since i dont like the minimalist design of the Exos 48 that i bought to lighten the load replacing my old heavy lowe alpine pack. The exos was a big mistake as it didnt have enough padding and i came home with very sore shoulders.

    Just bought this pack and as you say, the quality feel and attention to detail is very high. chuffed with it to say the least and havent even used it yet 😂 Wild camp on Dartmoor though this weekend.👍

    This is what i use as well, its great your right it really does sit the weight perfectly and its almost like the hand of god is reaching down and lifting the pack a bit as you walk along, best way i can desrcibe where some of the weight dissapears to lol, i typically run at 13/14kg, so bringing that down next year to about 10kg that’ll feel like i’m carrying nothing i reckon

    Definitely a big thumbs up - but disappointed you missed the front access, so important for me as a photographer being able to position my camera gear ICU right under that flap for instant access and I went through the video three times thinking I'd missed it somehow. Really liked the video format though. Cheers !

      I messed up didn't I ? Soz ! There is no front access to the main compartment on this pack ! Bummer. I was going to buy it today (the Deuter Futura 50+10 I just bought for a trip in 10 days is killing my lower back (digs in) even after 7 re-configurations) and I must have front access :(

    I am a happy owner of one of these. On longer hikes where I've seen people develop sores from chafing straps I'm dry and comfortable.

    Have got 1 of these. Excellent pack but just 2 bugs with it. It starts to squeak but then it goes away and the small pockets on the belt can be difficult to close on the move. still give it 10/10 though.

      @@cmr7217 Last used the pack last October and it was still squeaking then. It only seems to occur just after first putting it on and last for about 10 minutes. Still not as loud as the squeaking from the knees though!

    I agree in part with your review. However, I have found some issues. Particularly pulling the zippers closed on the pockets on the waste band is difficult if not impossible without first pinching the pocket ie. a two handed job. The other issue is the flap doesn't seal the bag when the lid is removed making it vulnerable to rain. I also have found it digs into my shoulder with a heavy load, but this could be particular to me. Finally, the material, rip-stop nylon, is no better than a £40 bag by Eurohike or another low-cost brand. I paid £140 for this Atmos 65 and have felt disappointed by the purchase. Not to say there aren't some positives, but as a top of the range bag, not good enough.

    Nice one, can you tell me please what does “one size” mean ? I have looked for an Osprey Atmos AG 65 L and it comes in one size, I am certain that Osprey Atmos comes in Small 62L, Medium 65L and Large 68L. So, I am a bit confused and I was hoping you could tell me more.

      Hi, yes there is definitely not 'one size" for this bag - they come in small, medium and large as you say - the pack is the same, but it's for the back length! I'm 6ft tall and the medium is perfect for me. Hope this helps.

    Do you prefer Osprey or Fjallraven packs? I'm torn between this pack and the Fjallraven Singi 48 rucksack

      I like them both mate. I know it's a nightmare but you're just going to have to make a decision. If you are just buying one pack for wild camping - buy the Osprey. It's bigger and therefore more adaptable and flexible. The Fjallraven is lovely, but heavier and smaller.

      @@MCMOutdoors Yeah just looking for a bag for hiking, mostly one night camping but a bag that could last multiple days too. I'll go for the Osprey. That way if I do want to go for longer I won't have to worry as much with a 65l bag 👍

    I went to costworld today. I tried this bag and it was felt so comfortable. Bought it for £190. I think it will be worth it.

    My straps got dirty, what's the best method to clean them?

      I just use a wet wipe on mine or a cloth with some plain water - does the job just fine mate. ATB
