@@robertpeterson6311 Driving for Phoenix in 2012 and Furniture Row (a team gone too soon) in 2013 helped make Kurt more appreciate of what he has, and his tenure at Stewart-Haas from 2014-2018 was mostly incident free. And he hasn't had any real anger during his current tenure at Chip Ganassi Racing either.
It would be sad to see Kurt retire this season, but like he says in the video he doesn’t have much more to win or prove anyways. Thanks, Kurt Busch for the amazing career. Tom.
Hope he doesn’t retire anytime soon. All the drivers I’ve grown up watching are leaving one by one. Once Kurt and Harvick are out. The OG’s are basically gone.
Now you'll know how I feel lol. When I started following NASCAR, the big names were Dale Sr., Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, Ricky Rudd, Jeff Gordon, Dale Jarrett, the Labonte brothers, and so on. The mid 90's were a great time for racing
@@HDFXSB645 When I started following the sport the big names were Petty, Pearson, Allison, Baker, Yarborough, Yarbrough, Parsons, Isaac, even Foyt and Andretti took a shot at NASCAR. I remember Earnhardt, Wallace, Rudd and Martin coming along as rookies. To me two events killed my strong interest in NASCAR, the death of Dale Earnhardt and the death of Adam Petty. That following the deaths of Davey Allison and Alan Kulwicki, it seemed the sport passed from the personality era to the good soldier for network TV and the sponsors era. The heart was gone out of the sport for me. Now you can hardly tell the cars apart, and the drivers tend to be not too different from the cars.
Please don't retire Kurt. I've followed you from day 1 Met you at michigan back in 2002. We had a beer. Lol Your a idol to my son. Monster everything. Will be watching feb 14th. GO GET THE CHECKER!!!!
On 6 April I left Omaha Nebraska on my 883 sportster and I rode 2000+ miles to Key West Florida I rolled across the marks that Kurt left behind and I’ve always been a fan and then I went and left some marks of my own I drove Kurt Busch‘s number to Penske Dodge charger at Daytona international Speedway at over 155 miles an hour. I’ve always been a bush fan I think Kurt a little more than Kyle but them boys sure can race what a fun video.
From his championship years in roush To fine and rager in penske To a mediocre run in Phoenix racing To chasing a championship in furniture row To dominate in haas To crazy finishes in gannasi And what his future on him
I quick nod to calling that 2003 Darlington clip the "Winston Cup" series, I love that Monster is showing respect to the old school series sponsor before them. Also another nod for having the Monster victory lane girl looking fine as hell and not in a damn fire suit like the old days lol.
How cool was that blast down the 7 mile bridge to Key West? I once got a 1992 Toyota MR2 turbo up to 150 for just a brief second on that bridge, can't imagine doing 200 for nearly the entire length. Kurt rocks!!
Was never a big fan of kurt but I am so gonna miss watching him every sunday you're the shit bro ik you got at least one championship in you kurt can't wait to see you get it done man
Kurt won the first two races I went to. The Food City 500 in 2003 & 2004 at Bristol Motor Speedway. I was not happy leaving the race either time because I was and still am, huge Harvick fan.
Rusty was my guy, Kurt second, then Kurt stepped into the blue deuce and has been my #1driver ever since. If he does retire after this season I don’t know who I will root for.
Hey Kurt you've still got a win in you this season don't worry you'll get in the finals and in not you're not still the best, true driver in NASCAR. Don't let the media get you down they couldn't drive in a powder puff derby, most probably don't know what one is, so keep your head up....
For me right now, I honestly feel like there could be a chance Kurt will renew his contract with Chip Ganassi. But after this video and the accomplishments he has, I could be leaning towards yes. Kurt Busch is retiring at the end of the 2021 season.
When he said “winning it’s contagious” that’s probably the truest statement I’ve ever heard! ✊
Wish I knew how to find that fist on my phone 💯😜
Don't retire yet, Kurt! You're our Number 1!!! I love seeing you racing that #1 Monster Energy Chevrolet
So it turns out that was a parody account on nascar so hes not retiring
kurt: "i feel like i've never worked a day in my life"
kurt 8 years ago: *_"GOD I HATE MY FUCKING JOB"_*
Thats what happens when you drive for Phoenix Racing
divorce will do that to a guy
I was thinking about this too when he said that, flash back to Kurt and Penske racing 😂😂

God bless you kurt Bush thanks for the races in Chicago. Saw the last race every there.
If you retire you could be the 18 crew chief. I'm sure Kyle would love that.... Kyle: I gotta pit..... Kurt: no way bro, we're eating ice cream.
It's crazy to see how much Kurt changed over the years. Don't retire! NASCAR needs you now more than ever.
It would be sad to see Kurt retire this season, but like he says in the video he doesn’t have much more to win or prove anyways. Thanks, Kurt Busch for the amazing career. Tom.
