Man, that panned shot of Rossoy Garden's islands, looks like a painting! Absolutely stunning! That's why i truly consider Norway being THE most stunning country on earth, and wished i could afford to one day visit its four corners.
I do envy you very much. Driving a LR3. Watching the beautiful scenery all day long. And the fantastic archipelago of Norway. Must have been a fantasic vacation.. Many thanks for the video.
Thank you Andrew! We were quite lucky with the weather and timing of this drive and I'm so glad we decided to postpone the drive untill the evening. I love driving and going overlanding in my car so it's so good to get back in the seat and set off. :) Can't wait for the next proper drive.
I will take that as an compliment on my video production skills. 🤗🤗 And thank you! The thing I love about Norway is the extreme variation of the landscape so you can experience so much in just a weekend getaway. 👍😊 Where are you located?
@@LandRoverDrive i am in the Netherlands, as flat as can be, barely any nature left and surrounded by neighbours hahaha. And yes, big compliments to your production skills!!
Nice video Simon, thanks for sharing. When I was thinking about that area of Norway not that far from the arctic circle I would not automatically think about sandy beaches, swimming in the sea, ... but it seems it can happen
Yeah, Helgelandskysten is crawling with white beaches. The distinctive white beaches in the northern areas are formed by decomposed limestone shells from shells and marine organisms. It makes for great drone shots. :) When it comes to swinging, it's a bit cold but in really warm weather it's always refreshing to take a swin in the cold water. :) I'm guessing we had between 14-17 degrees in the water, maybe a bit warming just in the top layer. :) Thanks for watching Frederic! :)
Thank you Edwin, always nice to hear. Definitely a place to visit during the summer. The change in scenery over such a short stretch is just amazing. And a sunset drive is always a win then there is water around. :)
Thank you so much! I’m traveling with my wife and the kids at some stages. They will probably join some trips now and again as we agreed with the kids that they could be in the videos online. 👍😊 We are all good now after a little meeting with corona. 😊 Just done with another cross country skiing exercise. 🤙❄️🇳🇴 How about you?
@@LandRoverDrive ooh, you're skiing!!! How long have I been skiing, more than 10 years! We have +5 in Kaliningrad, there is no snow, poor children, there are no slides here to go sledding, skiing! Do not get sick and be healthy!!!
What are the midges like that time of year ? Do you keep the same tyres all year , or do you have to run winter spec when appropriate ? Great vid keep them coming 👍👍
Hey and thank you! 🤙😊 The are the worst mid summer, spring and fall is the best time in terms of midges but it varies a lot from location to location and how much wind there is. 👍😊 I have a set of summer and a separate set of winter studded tires. 😊 It’s the safest setup for Norway. 👍
Can you believe that the drive is only about 160km from the coast to the Swedish high mountains? 🏔😊

Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching! Norway is great and I feel lucky every time I can go on a trip. :)
A beautiful video Simon. Wonderful scenery. Though its always nice to get back to your own car after being away. :-))

Such a beautiful country. It's weird, i've never been there but feel almost homesick watching it in your videos. I wish we had nature like that here.

@@LandRoverDrive Yeah stunning. We are definitely driving up there for our summer holiday. The switch from coast to mountains is almost unreal
Definitely worth the trip, if the weather is good. :) But not to far to drive up there is the forcast is looking good.
Simon! As always great! Did you travel with your wife? At this pace, they would have come to us a long time ago! )
How are you, how is your health?
