Nice drive Donny. I live close to where I grew up. The memories never fade. There have been many changes though 🙂 I have been in a nuclear bunker in Scotland. It was fascinating 🙂 Sad story about your dad but you gave him a comfortable home at the end. Take care 💙 Trev

Sorry to hear about your father. It must have been very emotionally tough taking care of him with that condition.x

The cattle grid that used to be on the lane as you entered the tip is still there. Its next to the main workshop in the council yard ..

So strange about the banking. Cashless society, yet you can't change the phone number without visiting the bank in person. What a bummer. I know it depends on the country, and even the city. In Belarus, where I'm living right now, you can't do it that easily in the bank I have my account in. Oddly enough, there's no such issue in the major Russian banks. I'm never saying things are rosy in the Russian-speaking countries, but banking service, and particularly online banking, happen to be one of the most advanced in Russia and just a handful of other countries.
That was a most sad bit about your dad though. Mine is also getting on. I'm a late child in my 20s. My mum was 36 when I was born, whereas my dad was 48. It means now he's in his 70s. Doing pretty well so far though, thankfully.
    Mike

This card system sucks for the elderly ...i use cash as much as possible but sometimes we have to use them but i think cash is king.
