She’s always been the poster-girl for the game, even when some people didn’t necessarily see her true potential.
But once players mastered her, Jett became unstoppable.
And when Riot finally nerfed Jett, somebody else took her crown.
But, now she’s back and ready to retake her rightful spot at the top of the VALORANT world.
This is the story of VALORANT’s most game-defining agent - the story of Jett.

I feel like Jett has dropped pickrate due to the introduction of chamber and as the opers got an agent which was better and pro players moved onto agents better for entrying (Raze/Neon)
Well I still play Jett because I can do both

Jett’s pick rate was still like 90% after chamber was added. Her pick rate dropped cuz she got nerfed really hard while chamber hasn’t gotten any nerf that changes how he is played

I agree 100% been maining her since my first match back in beta love her kit sucks shes fallen put of the spotlight but chamber is just too strong not to pick
Indeed~ I main her now after switching literally from controller and sentinel, and let me tell you. She gives you the boost of confidence you need to take fights, her dash can be used in so many creative ways not just getting out of fights and She can clutch rounds with her knives if played well

chamber sheriff shots are just as satisfying plus they dont reset so the shots count, oping is boring tho
@@Gamber63 awp better tho, which is why a lot of people prefer chambers ult for sniper. thats the main reason why i like playing him. i get a sniper that actually feels like csgo awp. more accurate and similar fire rate
@@denjii9 ya but at the end of the day, chamber sheriff is still about holding angle. Jett knives are aggressive
I really love that you guys spent some time focusing on Jett’s VA - it’s such an under appreciated job that really brings the characters we love to life, very nice touch :)
The best nerf was actually the dash. It brought Jett to be played exactly how she was supposed to be. However, all the previous nerfs are hurting her. They need to roll back some of the nerfs to keep the Entry/Aggressive Jett while preventing Jett OP meta ever happening again. Even so, she's not bad right now. I don't have to compete with instalock jetts anymore.
Her dash nerf was a buff in some situations because if you activate the skill, your next kill is going to count towards refresh when before you could kill dash, away and still need two more kills to refresh
@@PPSzB yeah but thats reliant on consistently getting those two picks to refresh her dash. you cant use her to hold aggressive angles on defense anymore unless you know for certain that the enemies are gonna push you, which makes her reliant on info gathering agents in those situations. she used to be able to do it all, which was admittedly broken, but waiting two years to change it after an entire meta developed around jett without giving her any buffs to balance it out is kinda wild tbh. like gimme three smokes again at least

As a Jett main, i can say that Jett is still the best agent in the game when comes to oping and runing away to safety, even after so much nerfes i am still playin' her because she's still flexible and the best when it comes to suprising enemies with unexpected and fast movemants, it's not only exciting to watch someone play her it's also exciting to play her because it will make game more fun for the player if you have a good game sense, she'll always be the "queen of Valorant" dominating every competitive game.

I have never played Jett since the beginning but I am always in awe when I'm watching a Jett pop off in my team. A pub stomper and a great tempo changer.
Early days I was a cs player, but me & my friends moved to valorant , I was a sova main, and no more quick scope shots, fast side arm kills. I had the hope and valorant released the chamber & It was absolutely felt like " you wanna play, Lets play".
Jett is not just an agent....

I think riots big mistake was replacing Jett with Chamber, Chamber could have easily filled a role as an awper with the sheer power of his ult alone I feel like, or better yet just played as an econ control kinda guy with his deagles. Really he just needs a rework or something at this point cause his tp is way to broken, or maybe they should just reduce the range of his tp idk
I feel his TP is less of a problem compared to:
1. The activation speed of both his ult and his deagle
2. The shooting speed of both his ult and his deagle.
That's the real problem. You can have of sheriff and you will get destroyed by Chamber since his deagle doesn't have dmg fall off and can spam with it. He can also spam his OP so it's the best OP in the game. Oh right, his ult is pretty much Valorant BETA Op. So what's the point of nerfing the OP or the deagle? Now, only a single character has that benefit. How is that fair? It's more fair if the guns are available for everyone than exclusive to a single agent.
@@mintyfresh4855 his awp should have 2 bullets and whenever he gets a kill, he gets 1 more bullet so that they cant spam the awp and use it using more brain, and his pull out of deagle is too strong, it should be slowed down and tbh, remove the scope from his deagle bro 💀

I'm a jett main, I miss the old days where two jetts from either team just always got into a kill race going back and forth, it was just so much fun
riot: "let's make a new agent to be the competitor to jett, the opers will definitely switch to chamber!"

Chamber being blamed for a drop in viewership when in reality its because
1. APAC vs CIS was the finals (CIS still loves CS more than Valo) (APAC it was being streamed at around 12 - 4am in midnight ofc not all can watch)
2. IT WAS A QUALIFIER
3. NA wasn't in the finals
CB is broken absolutely he power crept Jett but it was more of the tailwind nerf and the rise of Raze due to Fade that made her near obsolete.
This is really beautiful. Jett is the face of the game without her, Valorant is simply isn't Valorant

I think most League of Legends fan can relate. Jett is literally the Irelia of League. (a prominent face in League as well)
They both shares too many similarities in terms of their very high handling difficulty + nerf patches.
Just like Irelia of league --> damage, movespeed, skill range all got nerfed until it's no longer a pro-play menace but can still pub-stomp.
The day the roll back the Right click nerf is the day I am happy. I will get to watch Seoldam and his Korean Jett montages again ; - ;

If i had a nickel for every time a Kunai Asian Girl has become a Mascot for a Riot's Game, i would have 2 Nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's funny that it happened twice.
I think the reason that Chamber tp is superior to Jett dash is with Chamber tp you can get a kill on 1 angle, tp to another angle, get a 2nd kill. While with Jett dash you just get 1 kill and immediately dash to safety. So you could create more impact with a good tp.

i mean they completely gutted chamber and now hes useless which is kinda sad. i wish they had just reduced the range at which he could setup his tps as opposed to just completely removing the double tp mechanic. but i feel like jett is pretty balanced now. (i wish her abilities were cheaper but oh well)

I'm doing my part. I was a filthy Jett main at the beginning and I am now.
I wish I never quit playing Jett, she so much fun. Now I am a dirty Chamber main. I ranked up from G1 to P3/D1 since I stopped playing Jett, so I feel like I would play like G1 in my plat/diamond lobbies. Maybe I can instalock her on my alt and grind to the rank I am on my main while only playing Jett. If I reached my main rank, I unlock the ability to play her on my main again. A bit like Keeoh’s speedruns.

I Never liked the Idea of Jett being The "Face" of valorant, It ruines the game, Valorant got currently 21 Agents, each one with unique art work, unique quirks and features which was made to appeal to different play styles and tastes, Surrounding the entire game around 1 agent is the most frustrating and irritating thing about a video game, It will just makes everyone insecure about their pick and pushes everyone to pick and fight over the same agent which will appear at all maps leading to boring game, especially if it's an OP agent like jett was makes her hard to deal with
Maybe I'm stupid but I think the balance between Chamber and Jett would be way better if Chambers tp had a kill requirement instead of a cooldown
Like maybe if you recall them without tping you have the cooldown but if you tp you need 2 kills before you can go again
Have never played Jett but usually team up with experienced Jetts who are entertaining to watch and play with. I've always liked her as an agent and I think she is terrific, but have never felt confident enough that I could adapt well to her play style. I like to be more methodical, strategic and slow...
Well, this was a good story.
I am not a valorant player by any means (I tried it a bit when it was first open to everyone, and realised I cant hit shit even if its right in my face) but oh my do I love jett. Her voice actress is very fitting for her, as she herself said: she looks just like her naturaly. Riot gave her the option to slur a bit and oh my it came out to be some very good voicelines, I ended up laughing my ass off for how funny they are! And yeah, whenever I hear the name "VALORENT" I always think first thing about jett and jett outplays.
And trying to replace her with someone else? Nah not gonna happen.
Its the same if Riot will try to make Ahri, lux and missfortune disapper from league of legends front page by nerfing them so much no one will play them ever again (*sad bird emperor noises*). Not like that ever gonna happen cuz those 3 are the face of the game, the first thing that comes to mind when someone say League Of Legends!

I remember that i started playing jett when shroud used to play a lot in starting of 2020 august and i was fascinated with the jett so much that i started instalocking jett for almost a year.

I think the community made the biggest mistake complaining about pre-patch Jett. Knowing Riot Games, they were going to create a more broken agent that fundamentally changed the game.
Same goes for Sova imo, as a main myself. Sova's kit was not broken and has multiple dimensions of counter-play (being recon dart and drone can be eliminiated with guns and shock dart having a centre-point for greater damage). Pre-patch drone compared to what we have with fade, is simply and utterly a mistake. Fade's entire kit can screw up sova's in general if I am going to be honest, and so is everything else.
Sova and Jett were very entertaining and overall healthy for the meta, but ever since chamber was added, I think the pro meta has gone quite a bit downhill.
Sova and Jett plays are still is, and will always be one of my favorite things to watch in vct ever.

Jett is starting to get replaced by other duelist like Raze and Neon
As time went on, teams got better. People just figured out that agents like Neon and Raze are insanely good at executing plays and entries. Oh, and Chamber is just broken at what he does. It started to dwindle at such a fast rate and she was just simply there, an agent that probably we will never see in pro play again. (Well she is a great pick in Icebox and Breeze thats for sure).
But this is the healthiest state of Valorant so far, I feel like everyone is pretty good at what they do.
Chamber is broken but it is not exactly game breaking rn because of the nerf on his Rendevouz and trips.
Jett is great but I never get anyone who is good with her. (I don't like playing duelists.)
how about we just have NO character with a get out of jail free card?? It'd fix all problems at once: No more low risk off angles on some Agents AND way more Agents could pick up the Op because there are no specified Operator-Agents!

Jett was the only OPer in the game for a very long time, that was enough reason to pick her aside for explosive entries. Riot nerfed her a bit, and added chamber who was also able to OP... what happened? His OPing was also too dominating. My opinion is to just buff the OP so more than 2 particular agents can use it.

To me the necessary nerf was her dash, and her ult right clic nerf too. But Chamber is just in a whole another league. To this day I can't believe they nerfed EVERYTHING but his weapon swaping speed. Facing a buffed operator that fire this fast is just boring af.

Seeing someone instalock jett, buy sherrif first round and then die without a kill, buys a marshall 2nd round dies again without a kill, buys marshalls or sherifs for a couple of rounds till they can buy an OP, DIE AGAIN and lose the OP. Gets really old lol

Totally unreleated to Jett, but I do agree that she is the most unique out of Valorant second would be Neon, but I wish VALORANT implemented a better smurf sistem, like CSGO, put your number into the account and people get matched with people like that... I hate running into "Gold 1" Jett/Chamber Mains that one tap you and get aces every which round.

The problem isn’t the agents it’s the op itself. You really can’t use an op professionally without a way to get out after a shot so without agents like Jett or chamber nobody would really use the op
