For track alignment at the module joints I would recommend the railtech joiners. Two set of three or four ties in copper clad epoxy ready to screen the modules and solder track to. Once finished the alignment will always fit right thanks to the weaving on the joint between the two parts. I use them in OO, N and HO. And I also plan to add OO9 to my future layout with those between modules.
When my grandfather and I were running a demo layout, we had both a mount and dismount track, it enabled us to park a train once it had run in preparation for removal and storage, without impeding the continued running.
That makes sence. I’ll be able to achieve that I think.
Layout looks great. A little trick I learnt about adding rail joiners get an old bit of rail and bend it to about 90 degrees and use it to push the joiner onto your laid track, a lot less painful 😁
Looking great, I must get some of them terminal pin blocks they are a great idea to connect it all together

Looking good Tris although an interesting deadline for the show… Sometimes good to have a date that doesn’t move to concentrate the mind and effort! Always wanted an OO9 layout and hopefully moving soon and get a much bigger layout room so will try and add something Narrow Gauge to my already long list of things I want the layout to include!?

As a sudjestion Tris, on one end of the new loops makig a simple viaduct, there is a form style retaining wall which Charlie of Chadwell used that could fit the build! I should have watched earlier but saved this one for my rest day!

A lot of work in a short time Tris ! Think about adding another set of points (later) to give you 3 through tracks, will make your fiddle yard more exhibition friendly 😉.

You forgot the golden DIY rule Tris, measure twice to cut once, tut, tut!
i would do 2 passing loops and a separate programming track you have plenty of room plus once you have made a train up you dont have worry about other trains being in the way less and of god so to speak

Water, but no coaling.... I might be able to help you out with that, did they use basket loading on British narrow Gauge like the Austrians did.??
