    Mr Bob,Your videos are always on point. I have been a journeyman combo welder for 30 years. The younger generation can learn a lot from you, I have a lot of passion for what I do, and I can tell you also. Keep up the good fight brother.

      @@agustinhernandez6094 Depends what technique you're using. In this video we are dabbing (pushing) the wire into the leading edge of the pool.

      @@bobmoffatt4133 you did say, *"rolling and pushing," that was my brains interpretation of the the technique by the time I made my comment.
      It's about the best *pro tip* I've ever heard for getting some real feedback on how the weld is going and you're the only one I've ever heard speak about it. I can't remember which video you explained some of what you're feeling for by rolling it, but it would make for another great video on that alone.

    Would have loved to have seen that tie in from the inside wish you could have ringed around the weld with a bandsaw so I could have seen the bead

      We've already shot 6g and 5g. I believe we did both,but if not we'll come back to it again with free-hand.

      you need a 4mm gap and feed that wire behind the bevel inside the pipe . around 115 amps
      tight gap and high amps feeding wire on outside of bevel
      gives a flat or concave root

    there are people who have used welding rod , bent in between the two pieces to fill the gap , then welded
