I have to say this: You should really do a Podcast. It would be sooo good listening to you talk about everything because you’re helping a lot of people like me with this. I love you! 🥰❤️
Not me feeling nervous to re-move out again and instantly feeling better after watching this. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with how much work I have to do to re-make my space, but it's so worth the investment and I am 100% the same way: serene space=sanity. So proud of you & thank you for posting this at the perfect time. ❤️
I would love to see a “week in my life: what I spend in the city” (or however it would be called), I visited New York a few weeks ago and I actually loved it lol despite how tired I hit of walking for hours 😆 but I always hear that it’s super expensive so idk but I definitely want to visit again
I relate sooooo much with the “home doesn’t have to be just one place”. I live in the US with my dad but my mom, sister, and entire extended family is in Sweden❤️
The vibes in your videos are always great, but ever since you moved to NYC they've been ✨immaculate✨ thank you for brightening my day with every post 😌 I am graduating college on the 11th and I started watching you during my freshman year (your sophomore year, right when you started!) and you've been such a light in my life during all my struggles in college. It's been amazing to watch you grow and change and become happier over the last few years, I truly feel like I've been right there with you! Love you so much and thank you ❤️
Convinced we are the same person. From moving out of your small hometown to being a homebody to making it a point to actually say yes to plans. Thank you for being so relatable!🤍
This is just the video I needed after finding out that I’ve secured my dream job starting next year in a new city. Thank you for these nyc vlogs! They are legit such a comfort for me and (I’m sure) so many others 🥰💕
this is so crazy...I went to college 1200 miles away from home for 2 years and then came home and now (back at home as a commuter student) am about to graduate in May and feeling the exact same anxiety about moving away again, doubting if i'll be able to do it and getting in my head. I can't believe I stumbled upon this video watching a bunch of NYC related content because I have a potential opportunity there after grad. This has truly helped me so much in realizing that I might not have been ready those years ago, but that you can grow as a person to a point where these big decisions aren't so scary anymore. Thank you for being so open about the anxieties of leaving your comfort zone and wanting more for yourself, love this SO SO much!!
what helped me make my new place feel like home was activities: I started trying new recipes, threw little parties, invited my best friend and family, painted, watched Harry Potter, and a lot of rather everyday/accidental tings too, I came home late from the city, I locked myself out while the stove was on and panicked for a solid hour, I had a one night stand that I didn't want to be a one night stand and now I'm also thinking about getting a cat... all in all, I think it's about the space getting it's character and backstory over a couple weeks and months :)
oh yeah, almost forgot. this apartment was the first to see my throw up on alcohol. this made me love it mostly. it was "there for me" when I was at my worst...
your post grad diaries/ moving out diaries have really helped my while moving out for uni, im so proud of myself for pulling living alone off! i still go home every weekend (as most students in itty-bitty Belgium do) but i feel more at ease in my little sanctuary. Thank you, Hannah
16:34 I so understand that feeling of being an awkward person in terms of reaching out to people first lol but your answer to that question really helped because as a freshman in college, I usually just stay in my dorms with Netflix like my social anxiety tells me too, but I know need to socialize to keep me actually sane [out of context but..... LOVE YOU HANNAHHHH!]
Hannah, we honestly almost had the exact same experience, I'm one year younger than you and moved away from home, hated it, hade my first of many panic attacks and now I'm at home again. This video really comforted me. I do believe that the day I officially move out it will be because I'm truly ready and have nothing left to gather in the place that I'm living in now. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Yes! Please make a video about your costs, budgeting, and overall how you been financially after moving. I am thinking of moving soon and I’m so nervous about everything possibly going down hill and end up struggling financially to keep my place. It stresses me so much lol. I just turned 20 years old. I moved out at 19 years old and I am currently renting a room but I want to get my own place. I feel like I need a change but I am scared to make the next move. Thank you!! ily💗
the fact that you are watching the secret life of the American teenager with your mom over facetime and you started one tree hill gives me hope :)) I lowkey wanna rewatch those shows now lol
I feel the exact same way about my space because it affects my daily life, how I live and how I do things. And yesss please definitely do a video over what you spend in NY and what life is like living there at this point in your life
it's so comforting to hear you talk hannah! i've recently graduated as well and i have been feeling kinda lost about what to do/ what i want / what i want to be... it has been really hard to keep it together and honestly your videos have been helping me getting trough this phase! i wait for it the whole week because you inspire me to never give up on whatever my dreams are! because even though i am not entirely sure who i am yet, or where i wanna be, i know that i have to be patient and work hard! thank u so much for just being you and sharing a little bit of you with us as well
I am probably your oldest subscriber, and by that, I don't mean one of your first, I just mean old ;) I found your channel just the other day and there's just something about it. I chuckle every time you take a slurp of your coffee drinks. I loved your black Friday shopping haul (BTW: I more than remember the VS fold over yoga pants- some of my favs). And I just have to say to all the old duffers out there who don't think you can learn from people 1/2 your age "Duffer, you are wrong". "Home does not have to be just one place"- Brilliant!!! So true, and meaningful no matter your age. Thanks Hannah! Great content! Keep slurping. p.s. IARO
When you talked about having Charlie with you, oh my god did I relate so much to. I’ve lived in my apartment for a year, hated every second of it because I just felt so alone. Then I got a pup and my life has changed for the better. I feel so much better because I’m not alone anymore
i know this video is somewhat old but i really enjoyed this video. i am moving all the way from texas to chicago alone at 22 years old in just ten days and this video was really helpful and comforting to see. thank you for making this!
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS! 👏🏾❤️It doesn’t just have to be ONE place! Ugh I love this you make me want to be a better UA-camr! ❤️❤️ can’t wait till the next video!!
Hey Hannah, I don't know if you'll see this and normally I don't feel compelled to ever comment until today but you said something SO SO SO important about moving out. You're absolutely right that investing in your space is incredibly important. To me, investing in your space, is claiming the space as yours so you can allow yourself to be comfortable in every sense of the word which in turn helps with the feeling like you don't belong. I graduated college very recently too in August of 2020 and made my big move to South Korea from Florida and my biggest goal was to make myself at home in my new apartment. By making this space mine and everything how I wanted it to be helped with the adjusting because while I sometimes am conscious of the word around me when im outside, when im at home, I feel I belong. I have a safe space. The same way my parents home was my safe space. I'm glad you've found a home in NYC, love~
I loved this video! I plan on moving out on my own to a new city next year and I honestly love and look forward to watching your vlogs as a way to "prepare". The whole "you didn't move to Mars" part really struck out to me and comforted me in a way! I love your post grad diaries I hope you keep doing them :)
I moved from my mom´s house and I understand every single word that you said. It´s terrifying but it also makes you grow. Thank you for being so honest.
This was a really good Ted Talk. I just moved and got my first 9 to 5 and one thing I have learned is to make sure you are keeping track of your finances. Love your videos.
bestie coming through with a 30 minute video AND a pleasing sweatshirt. go off, queen. also yes to a "what i spend in a week in nyc" type of videos!!!!!
Got here super late cuz I've been worrying my ass off about graduating - the results came out couple days ago and it's official! ur girl's graduated!!! then came the worry and anxiety about leaving that part of my life behind. ur video really provided me with much needed advice & perspective. thank u so much for the content that ur making hannah
Well, I'm not in a situation like this rn but I can understand how bad moving out or leaving your comfort place can be felt. Since you started your post-grad series I realised that someday I will move out and make a new chapter in my life and this videos are takes all the negative thoughts comes with that! It's good to know that I can watch this whenever that day is about to come💗💗
That sort of video about costa would be perfect! Just love to see everything that you put out from your own experiences.. it helps me a lot on figuring out what to do next in my life. ❤️ lots of love from Brazil!
I moved into my own apartment this summer, and it's been a huge adjustment but a really really growing one. Definitely the right decision for me! I recommend living alone for a little while to literally anyone. Perfect time to learn about yourself
I always watch your videos when I'm lacking a positive mindset. Your channel/advise has quite literally changed my life. I am obsessed with how transparent you are with your mental health and your life in general on your channel. Thank you for being you 🤍
i moved out for uni for 6 years and while by the end, it was alright, i had some of the most miserable years of my life. the whole concept of college/uni life being the best isn't the truth for everyone so i too was a little worried to move again for work. but having my own place and not having the stress of school and exams and the pressure of doing what everyone else is doing and havign your life figured out right away truly changes everything! thank you so much for this hannah, it warmed my heart and i am sure it will help and reassure so many others! 💛
Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ve really loved following your journey after graduation because I’m also graduating in about a week and have been nervous about moving out and next steps. I love that “home can be more than one place” that has really helped me shift my mindset
The content that I need to feel better in that Sunday, it's raining in my town, but You make my day so comfy and smiling. Yeah Hannah, thanks " I'm a real one"😍😍
I really needed this video! I am finishing my first semester at college and it has been a growing period for me. I have also experienced that keeping myself busy has helped. Giving myself things to look forward to has also helped me- whether that is ordering a new book, getting lunch with a close friend, or going hiking.
It’s super strange that I feel like I’m so connected to you, I’m currently going through the same thing that you went through where you felt lonely at school and came home and was worried to move on. I would watch you while I was at school and it always brightened my day and I always wished I could do the things you did. Like go to Dunkin for fun, go shopping, have fun at home. You inspire me every day and you are showing me how to get out of my little box :)♥️
8:27 This tip really helped me a lottt. I always try to supress any negative feelings, which was really unhelpful and at some point those feelings explode in a very very bad way.
I would love a morning&evening routine video and also a budgeting video because it has been my number one stressor since moving out. Groceries are my number one nemesis. Beautiful video though it helped so much.
Hi Hannah! You put it in words so well. My boyfriend and I also graduated in May, and the anxiety of "what's next?" Was DAUNTING. It turned out that the next steps for us were to move across the country to begin our careers and lives. It has been so cool to follow you along on our oddly similar experience. ♥️ In life, no one knows what's going on really so be happy, have fun, treat people with kindness. ♥️ Your videos are great
Hannah, bleed your radiator. That whistle is simply trapped air as it's probably been turned off until now. You can buy a 'radiator bleed key" (it's called 😁), in the Dollar tree or DIY store. Look up how to do it on youtube. It's an easy job. 👍
You have no idea how comforting this video was. I'm not moving out anytime soon but I will be in the future and I just had so many questions - all of which you answered!!! Also, I get super nervous in big groups too so thank you for sharing that and just making my day a whole lot brighter 😘😘
These blogs of yours are so comforting! I just started college this fall and I honestly hate it here so much and I know that after Winter Break i might just throw up about having to come back here… I used to dream about coming to college and getting my own apartment but now that it’s happening I absolutely hate it and I have no clue what to do…
I'm in almost the exact same situation as you! I moved onto campus for a year a while ago and HATED it and I was so homesick, and now I'm moving into an apartment next month and I'm really scared. So this was really comforting to watch :)
You are so strong and insightful. I'm sure a lot of people are benefiting from your videos and advice. I know you're probably enjoying your career as a content creator, but I could also see you being a therapist
OMG U're WATCHING OTH! It was the first tv-show that i actually watched fully like on internet and not on tv after school and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! As an Vampier diary and Outlander which i highly recommend. love u
this video is so inspiring and full of precious tips! in january I will leave from italy to canada as an exchange student, and all the things you said about the opportunities, challenges and personal growth really gave me positive vibes :) thank you hannah
I relate so much to having a hard time making friends. I also have social anxiety, and I've struggled for a long time with making friends and it's always so hard for me to try new things to meet people because like you said, I'm awkward haha. But, I agree, saying yes to things is such a good way to put yourself out there. I regret not saying yes to more things in the past. But, rn I do feel kind of stuck with my social anxiety and its so so hard for me to push myself and get past my fear of meeting new people and trying new things
I think the biggest part of being on your own is the worry- the financial and feeling ‘able’. But getting your own place is amazing. I would say much different than school since school’s objective is education and that has it’s own stress points. My move out was a bit different in that…let’s just say I was estranged from my family. But, I had amazing friends from work that were my family and I am so grateful for that. These are such good points and having been in my current place for 20 yrs, I’m totally purging to make room for new memories and things. Having a cat is also a must :)
Hi Hannah. I gotta say that your talking videos are awesome. I’m not where near moving out because I am 14. However you talk so well and it’s awesome listen to you. I think you should do a podcast. I’m a real one
Thank you for sharing. I really felt like I could relate to so many things especially about psyching yourself out before something happened and then it turns out not to be so bad after all. Also really felt that about being awkward because I feel that way too but knowing that you have to try before giving up or overthinking everything. I really loved this video Hannah! 😊🤍
This is such a random question and maybe it’s silly but do you get hate? I feel like of all of the (what feels like) hundreds of influencers and youtubers I follow, your fan base and comments are ALWAYS FILLED with positivity and love and I just can’t fathom anyone disliking you or your content. You’re my absolute favorite UA-camr!!
Got myself a snack real quick when I saw that this vlog was nearly 30 mins long oh my god I'm ready. Edit: First of all, I'm OBVIOUSLY a real one. Second of all, I loved this video so much! It's nice to hear about other people's experiences in terms of moving or just moving on to a new chapter in life in general. I moved to another country 3 months ago and I have to say for me it is starting to get a bit lonely. Not anything crazy but it's the whole reality and culture shift that's making me a bit homesick. Luckily I was never planning on staying here permanently so it's not the end of the world. But I'm still happy with my decision and I'm happy to see you happy as well Hannah :)
im so proud of you! i completely relate to those feelings of anxiety but you've come such a long way and have inspired me in my seasonal depression to stay busy and acknowledge those feelings. im so excited for what is to come next :)
I’m moving soon, and, although it’s not to a new town or alone, I’m taking your advice about investing in your space. I have not unpacked fully since a move in 2012, and it always feels unfinished. I’ve been struggling mentally, and my goal in the new apartment is to finish my space and make it a place I want to spend my time.
So happy and proud of you!! 🥰 Your videos literally helped me when I was struggling with the choice of transferring to a college back home because I was miserable. Now you’re inspiring my post grad life. 🥳🥳🥳
I lived at home all throughout my BA and the first experience I had outside of my home was in an internship in a Ohio (first time living alone in the US), I was SO depressed. I didn't really know anyone and all the other interns were scattered around Columbus so it was hard to even try to hang out together. I almost felt like giving up because the experience was so overwhelming for my first experience out of my home (and home country). Since it was a 10 week internship I held one, but it never did get better, but being busy with work helped immensely towards the end. The good thing about that experience is that I realized that for my MA I didn't want to leave my country just yet. So I applied to a university around 2 hours away from home, and lived in that town for a year, but that transition was so much easier. Now I'm preparing to graduate from the MA and I'm moving to NYC with my partner and a friend next year! Having them is going to be a blessing cause it's automatic friends hahaha, hopefully if I can get in to the PhD I'm applying to, that work will keep me busy and I can make new acquaintances there. I'm a recent sub, but I love your vlogs and your energy is so infectious! Charlie is the best kitty
yes I would totally LOVE a what I spend in a week in my life! I think learning how to budget/healthy spend will make such a difference to people like myself who are thinking about the moving process❤
I move out for college in September, I live 2 hours away from my mom and I never felt more happy than now. I also felt guilty about it, about being at peace only when I’m away but your video made me feel so much better tysm
Dang....sent by mistake... wasn't finished lol. I have always as part of trying to educate, spoken of the difference between self-doubt, speed bumps and self-confidence. Life in general and other people will keep dropping speed bumps in your path, but with self confidence, you will find a way to go around them, over them OR JUST KICK SOME BUTT and GO THROUGH THEM! The deadliest speed bumps are the ones we place in our way on our own and succumb to because of self-doubt!!! You are so enthusiastic and outgoing on your channel, that it's hard to imagine you ever feeling awkward/uncomfortable in personal relationship situations🤦♂️🤷♂️🌞 Keep believing in yourself Hannah...stay strong, stay focused, stay special, and most of all...STAY SAFE Hannah Elise 🌹🌞
I moved to my own apartment to go to school and totally agree on how expensive it is but also so satisfying when it finally feels like a second home! ✨💛
Im graduating in May and moving from NYC to Austin and I’ve been so stressed out about having to re create my space all over again but I know that it’s the next chapter of my life and that I need to do this for myself!
OMG the feeling you describes about moving this time is exactly the same for me which is hard Bc I started college here and it’s like I don’t even know if I belong here or if I can get through it. But I still feel like I’m in the right spot in my timeline.
I have to say this: You should really do a Podcast. It would be sooo good listening to you talk about everything because you’re helping a lot of people like me with this. I love you! 🥰❤️

The Hannah is glowing vibes are what makes us keep watching
honestly this is one of my favorite youtube series ! pop off queen 👑
thank you 🥺🥺 that means a lot
@@HannahElise 💜💜🥰💜🥰
The content that I need to feel better in that Sunday, it's raining in my town, but You make my day so comfy and smiling. Yeah Hannah, thanks " I'm a real one"😍😍
Hey, I just transitioned myself, And wow taking CARE of your space! Best thing ever. Has been keeping me sane.
I really needed this video! I am finishing my first semester at college and it has been a growing period for me. I have also experienced that keeping myself busy has helped. Giving myself things to look forward to has also helped me- whether that is ordering a new book, getting lunch with a close friend, or going hiking.
so glad you’re feeling so good about your move and can I just say that you are absolutely GLOWING
I’m a freshman in high school and watching this video…
And it is Awesome!!! Love your videos!!
Your videos are the reason I look forward for Sundays 😭❤️❤️❤️
It’s super strange that I feel like I’m so connected to you, I’m currently going through the same thing that you went through where you felt lonely at school and came home and was worried to move on. I would watch you while I was at school and it always brightened my day and I always wished I could do the things you did. Like go to Dunkin for fun, go shopping, have fun at home. You inspire me every day and you are showing me how to get out of my little box :)♥️
I’m a real one :)
was going through a roughy just now, but this video lit up my spirit instantly. I adore you and you're video's, thank you sm💞
that makes me so happy 🥺
Sex and the City is such a comfort show!!

This tip really helped me a lottt.
♥️ Your videos are great
As a freshman in college without my car, I definitely relate to missing some epic car jam seshs!
my GOD i am so excited you're watching one tree hill, just know, season 3 is where it gets really good (season 2 is a bit painful)
Hannah, bleed your radiator. That whistle is simply trapped air as it's probably been turned off until now. You can buy a 'radiator bleed key" (it's called 😁), in the Dollar tree or DIY store. Look up how to do it on youtube. It's an easy job. 👍
was LITERALLY wondering about these exact things as i graduate this May!
i graduate college in one week AH but so nice to have someone talk about post grad!! helping me so much already :)
Wish this video existed when I moved out 🤍 so much great insight and couldn’t agree with it all more. This is gonna be helpful to so many people!!
You have no idea how comforting this video was. I'm not moving out anytime soon but I will be in the future and I just had so many questions - all of which you answered!!! Also, I get super nervous in big groups too so thank you for sharing that and just making my day a whole lot brighter 😘😘
It's just me who thinks that Hannah should have a podcast? She's a great person and has many advices and things to talk about life. I would love that
These blogs of yours are so comforting!
@@amandab722 thank you so much! that's so sweet of you :')
the editing, the thumbnail, the vibes...everything is just so well put together. I love it! :D
thank you so much 🥺
Right?! She puts sooo much hard work into her videos to post on Sundays! It’s the best! We love you Hannah!! ❤️❤️
You are so strong and insightful. I'm sure a lot of people are benefiting from your videos and advice. I know you're probably enjoying your career as a content creator, but I could also see you being a therapist
It's the mom stance while lighting the candle for me 😂 ily Hannah
I’m a real one
harry’s pleasing crewneck i love it
Thank you for sharing. I really felt like I could relate to so many things especially about psyching yourself out before something happened and then it turns out not to be so bad after all. Also really felt that about being awkward because I feel that way too but knowing that you have to try before giving up or overthinking everything. I really loved this video Hannah! 😊🤍
I would be really interested to see a “week in my life: what I spend in the city” type of video!!
I'm a real one 😄
Yessss, please do the "How much I spend in a week" video!!
But I'm still happy with my decision and I'm happy to see you happy as well Hannah :)
im so proud of you! i completely relate to those feelings of anxiety but you've come such a long way and have inspired me in my seasonal depression to stay busy and acknowledge those feelings. im so excited for what is to come next :)
so crazy hearing that someone really LOVE their family and want to call their relatives... mind-blowing
Thank you isn't enough, We're f*k blessed to've you.
Lysm queen🤎
I’m moving soon, and, although it’s not to a new town or alone, I’m taking your advice about investing in your space. I have not unpacked fully since a move in 2012, and it always feels unfinished. I’ve been struggling mentally, and my goal in the new apartment is to finish my space and make it a place I want to spend my time.
So happy and proud of you!! 🥰 Your videos literally helped me when I was struggling with the choice of transferring to a college back home because I was miserable. Now you’re inspiring my post grad life. 🥳🥳🥳
Hannah just wanted to say before watching the rest of the video: you look STUNNING. You're such a beautiful woman.
Highlight of my week to watch your videos every sunday 😍😍 just keep going 🎉🎉❤❤
Feeling at home in your apartment is sooo important! I can relate 100%
yes I would totally LOVE a what I spend in a week in my life!
I felt so comfortable watching this video, ily Hannah
Dang....sent by mistake... wasn't finished lol. I have always as part of trying to educate, spoken of the difference between self-doubt, speed bumps and self-confidence.
Life in general and other people will keep dropping speed bumps in your path, but with self confidence, you will find a way to go around them, over them OR JUST KICK SOME BUTT and GO THROUGH THEM!
The deadliest speed bumps are the ones we place in our way on our own and succumb to because of self-doubt!!!
You are so enthusiastic and outgoing on your channel, that it's hard to imagine you ever feeling awkward/uncomfortable in personal relationship situations🤦♂️🤷♂️🌞
Keep believing in yourself Hannah...stay strong, stay focused, stay special, and most of all...STAY SAFE Hannah Elise 🌹🌞
I moved to my own apartment to go to school and totally agree on how expensive it is but also so satisfying when it finally feels like a second home! ✨💛
I would LOVE a “What I Spend in a Week Video!”
A "what I spend in a week" would be very interesting😊
Thank you for being so relatable and open all the time!
Im graduating in May and moving from NYC to Austin and I’ve been so stressed out about having to re create my space all over again but I know that it’s the next chapter of my life and that I need to do this for myself!
The vibes in this video are ✨ immaculate ✨
thank you 🥺
@@HannahElise ily woman 🥺 u inspire me so much 💜
Glad I’m not the only one who calls their family everyday😅. Love your video Hannah!
OMG the feeling you describes about moving this time is exactly the same for me which is hard Bc I started college here and it’s like I don’t even know if I belong here or if I can get through it. But I still feel like I’m in the right spot in my timeline.
