I normally removed chicken when it's half cooked. Then I'll cook the arometics till oil separates begore I add back chicken to maximise the taste of aromatics. Then I'll put the chicken in and add in both types of leaves (sliced thinly...again to maximise the flavour) then I'll add in water and coconut milk....let it simmer for a while before adjusting taste with salt and sugar and chicken stock powder (optional).

Anyway, as you requested, here are the ingredients I used to make this dish:1 whole chicken, cut into smaller pieces 2 turmeric roots 4 - 5 bird eye chillies 1 large onion 1 turmeric leaf 3 lemongrass stalks 5 kaffir lime leaves, thinly sliced 3 dried tamarind slices ½ cup coconut milk Salt to taste
