Who would have thought that a duplication tutorial with no talking is better explained than any other video where the author is telling you with words how to perform the glitch. Love this video thank you so much.
I think a problem with the other videos is how fast they're going. Slug is the other youtuber who did a pretty good video and showed the steps like above.

I have an easier way to tell when to press x, you are supposed to press it as ur characters head is about to go up
This seems to be more reliable. I was trying to hit X based on the head turn but only got it was past that point (i.e. when your head went back forward)
Can confirm. I’ve been trying for 20 minutes as described in the video and couldn’t get it. I tried this method once and got it.
For anyone struggling to duplicate Blood Gems with the breakable pendant items:
When the glitch is successful and it asks if you want to use the item to receive a blood gem, STOP walking after selecting "Yes" and start spamming square. It is simply an extra step to get the animation to process fully.

For me, the best timing is when you think your character is about to turn his head forward. I don't even have to press X several times, just once.
Is it suppose to use the blood echo i followed the steps and did it 2 times but the 3rd time i got the use hunters mark thing and went to start prosses all over again but my echo was gone. Only had the single echo in inventory
@@joesam8364 No, after you stand at the edge like in the video (looking down at the fountain where you purchase stuff with blood echoes), stand right at the edge close to falling down to the purchasing fountain, open your inventory and select a coldblood. As soon as you select "use" coldblood, press forward to walk off the edge. When you fall, it should interrupt the animation of you raising a coldblood and crushing it with your hand. This interruption will prevent you from consuming your coldblood, but will start the glitch. Now go back to the chest where you can store stuff, put away all of your blood vials (bottles that give you health) and the coldblood that you almost used. Instead of a Hunters Mark, I use the lamp (it costs 2000 blood echoes at the fountain where you drop down and its unlimited in use). So equip the lamp in the effects menu (I have a PS5, so I press the right side of the big white button in the middle upper position of the controller) This is the menu you have to open to make the glitch to work, not the "start" menu where it shows you your weapons, settings, etc. So after putting your coldblood and blood vials away, you are going to start walking towards the left side corner of the chest like in the video. As you are walking towards the chest (don't stop walking), as you are walking towards the chest's corner, press triangle 🔺️, since you put your blood vials away, the character is going to reach towards his back and animate that there are no blood vials to use. As your character is reaching back, immediately open the effects menu where you placed your lamp and try to press X when you think your character is going to face forward. If nothing happens, press circle "O" to exit the menu. Keep walking towards the chest, press triangle 🔺️ again and as soon as your character reaches towards his back in search of a blood vial, open the effects menu and press "X" when your character is about to face forward. The timing works for me when I think my character is about to face forward I press X. If your character takes out the lamp, you have to restart the whole process. You have to take out the coldblood from the chest, use the coldblood at the edge of the platform and interrupt the animation of using the coldblood by falling down towards the fountain where you purchase items with blood echoes, put away the coldblood that you almost used, walk towards the chest, etc. It's really hard to time it well, but trust me, after you do it a couple of times it will get easier and easier to do. I first thought it didn't work because I have a PS5 and my Bloodbourne digital version was new and updated for these glitches not to work, but it does work ! The only glitch I can't do is the cummm glitch. In order to do it, you need to have a PS+ subscription to be able to do it 😩
One of the best glitches, had to use it to try to even things out after accidentally going into new game plus.
Oh wow I remember doing this way back when I didn’t have internet to do the false depth chalices. Hard, but you eventually get the hang of it.
This works I did it 2 minuets ago but it is really hard timing so don’t give up
Awesome find, i dont need the echoes or the insight but i wanna mess with this with a few other things
I can confirm this still works but it is hellishly hard to pull off due to the frames. What I can recommend, is use the "Lantern" instead of the "Hunter's Mark" - as you can accidentally respawn and lose echoes - then do everything as instructed in the video above. But once the "Lantern" turns on or off, you have to redo the process again. This works for echoes, insight and jewels, as far as I know. This has not been patched out of the game as the last update was released on December 21 2015.

Confirmed to still be working as of February 2023. I managed to pull it of with a coldblood dew, and a kin coldblood 12. I haven't succeeded with the skulls yet.
The timing for pressing X is truly difficult, but it can be done.
Definitely still works in September of 23’. But man it’s hard to get the timing right. I have better luck getting to do it multiple times in the same animation than to do the whole process over and over. ROI is not currently work the effort since I’m just using cold blood dew 2 haha
What about blood dregs or vermin? I wouldnt mind if there was a chalice dungeon filled with hunters. If you look in the registry theres people that have 99999, so I know somethin's up..

Can someone help me out? I’ve been trying this for the past few minutes and I’m not getting anything. I’ve been sure to get the X timing down right (namely following that one comment that said something about pressing when you begin to turn your head back) but either nothing happens or the game asks me to use the hunters mark.
I’m wondering if I’m having issues because I may press other buttons not involved in the glitch (usually circle to get out of the menu after pressing X doesn’t work), I’m too slow to start the glitch/too slow between the button presses, or it has something to do with me having GOTY edition. What could be going wrong and how do I fix it?

As of June 21 2023 it still works and is NOT PATCHED if you can’t do it then it’s a skill issue I’ve done it like 10 times after 2 minutes of trying

I sat here doing it for almost 30 minutes & not once landed it, und I tried many different timings.
Worked for me but just 4-5 time when I try to do it for 15 min
I’ve been doing this for a long time that I can’t remember the struggle, make sure u do the fall cancel animation before u start to dupe, then I use a rubber band to move the stick forward then press triangle and just after the shoulder look wait for it to fully appear then go touchpad-> X

I have a PS5 and recently just bought the game. I also thought it didn't work until I tried it like the 15th time. I think this is the best video that explains it because it actually shows you in real time when he is pressing the buttons. I actually pressed the X button several times as soon as my character reached towards his back and I was able to do it twice in a row ! ! 🙃
