Same thing happened with my coming out scene. My grandmother was instrumental in helping my mom not have a nervous breakdown. MUCH LOVE TO THE SUPPORTIVE GRANNIES OUT THERE
I am blessed because I had a grandmother who love me and my partner of now 22 years unconditionally. She told me before she died to be my true self no matter what other people said or did.
I had an aunt (my Mom's sister) I was very close to save the day,and my life for me. My mom was looking at some pictures left out from the night before of me with my partner and started to freak. My aunt saw them, calmed her down and told her I was the same person she always loved and don't let this change things. God bless my aunt!
Grandmothers can be cool. Mine was the only family member to just simply accept me wholeheartedly right away. Others came around eventually, but she was right there. Unfortunately, she's gone now, but I'm glad I had that experience.
"So you're gay." Couldn't that wait until morning? Way to ruin a romantic moment. Parents can be unbelievably selfish, she just thought I'm gonna put on my wicked witch hat, traumatize these innocent kids, destroy all possible timelines in which they might end up together, because I'm unhappy with my son's sexuality, and his happiness is not even on my radar.
Wise words from a handsome young man.... it is a pity more people don't recognise the value of older people and the elderly in society. His grandmother being a good example. A further note..... if you are making out in the garden of your parents house then we call that a set up. An unconscious desire to be found out. I admire his sense of self and doing this at 15. Throughout my life I never got really why parents etc. always turn things around as though you are doing something to them. They do not figure into the equation.
+globalman I totally agree.. Parents seem to think it's all about them and you did something to them, when they forget the challenges and pain that their kids are and have dealt with. The "unconditional love" my parents preach about definitely has conditions they won't accept.
Grandma probably has all seen it before in her life and very well may know of someone else gay in the family tree and saw them as good people. For whom, they have always been accepting through the lens of real life, that everyone just wants to be happy with whom they love.
I applaud grandparents like Ronnie's because my grandmother was the same way. She never stopped parenting her children no matter how old she got. If my mother/aunts/uncles did or said something she thought was wrong she let them know it. She was that way till the day she died.
What a sensible grandmother ! thoguh what really makes me think is how people already know things but lie to themselves, like my mom did the same (she didn't cry, in fact she was happy because I told her) she couldn't figure out if I was really gay or looked like somewhat gay because I was shy. And until I told her she didn't fully perceive as gay.
This was one of the best. Ones I've seen I cried. Because my grandma knew I was gay to but she promised me she wouldn't say anything And she past away and I don't think she ever has. But great story truly
My Coming out was much Like yours, terrible. Coming out In 1985 just wasn’t done. My Dream of being a History Teacher was dead once everyone knew I Was Gay. I have tried to move on, but nothing has ever fulfilled my dream of being that teacher that could show young people history isn’t boring, it’s the story of the human experience. Trust Me, It Does Not Get Better.
Not a word about the poor boyfriend after he was thrust through the air. Did he flee? Did he stay to try and help you with mom? Did he end up spending the night still? Did she eventually accept him?
Your poor boyfriend! I would have been a little pissed if my boyfriend was trying to cover up by saying he was bi-sexual and in a phase after a romantic night. Although of course, coming out for any of us is not easy, and by the way, GO GRANDMA!
That's just so lovely. I wonder what happened to the boyfriend that "went flying"???!!!! Straight woman old enough to be his Mum here....but yes, he's a good looking young man!
People always think the older generations condemn homosexuality, but if you notice, it's mainly older men. Both my grandmothers support me, and I think it's because women of that age know what it feels like to be looked down upon and be discriminated against, since women were just cooks and cleaners for men back then.
Sorry your family doesn't accept you. I am 50 and have been with the love of my life for 22 years. My religous parents will never except that I am gay and two men could have a loving and stable relationship. Years ago I told them that we will never speak of it again and they can believe the way they want and they respect that. I have come to the realization that it doesn't matter that they are so backwards about having a gay son. It is their loss because if they only knew what kind of a person he is. Live your life as your true self no matter what people say of do. It is hard at times but it is so worth it. Keep your chin up. I wish you all the best!
All LGBT people should embrace the way they are born, no matter what haters said ,don't l'et bad things some haters have to say to make you feel down , embrace, embrace and love who you are.
This speaks volumes. There are so many young people who think that all the problems will be over when all the old people die. They think that all the hate and intolerance comes from the elderly. They, for some reason, fail to see it is the young that are BEATING the young. Things are not better with the younger generation...maybe worse, considering they have less respect for human life with the knives and guns etc. It used to be fights. Now it is murders.
Guess she had a very good relationship with her grandson anf even if she did find it a bit weird, at least she didn't wanna make him miserable and told her daughter to cool it.
How can a responsible parent NOT know their child is gay ? How can they not be aware of at least the possibility (probability?) from early in the child's life?
Ha l wanted to ask if Ronnie, how the Boyfriend cope with you throwing him off,l hope you didn't hurt his pride( And yes l know it was years ago) just asking :))
Maybe because old people are sometimes discriminated and ignored she understood how he felt when judged, or maybe because she was was/is just a good woman.
@Son Quatsch: Thanks. “So you’re gay!” Yeah that probably sounds better. Or maybe, how about this?... “So. You’re gay!” I’m really trying to capture the inflection on this one.
@@TheMistress no, you have to understand. she is fuming at witnessing, not waiting for him to come home in the dark in a rocking chair after having read his diary. it's one exclamation very fast with a slight extra stress on the g.

Your Mother is dramatic. Your Grandmother must have known, but the fact that she was going through her last life battles, she preferred focusing on your happiness for your age. You are a respectful son, but a bit too giving for your own good. You should have taken your boyfriend in with you, to talk to your Mother. You were going through a lovely moment in your life at a beautiful age! I would have liked to be in your shoes, but sadly, not in his! He must have felt rejected. Moreso that he was in your house & you were being told off by your parent. What happened between you both after the incident?
We need to know what happened to the poor boyfriend! He can't just leave us in the dark like that! lmao UPD. Also apparently this Ronnie Kroell is your average aggressive trumpist now.
'Love tour son for the way he is' - great message for all.

Lesson: Your're never too old to learn and you're never too old to teach! Thank you gramma!!!
Amen! My grandmother taught her children--even though they had children, and in some cases grandchildren of their own--until the day she died.

You go Grandma!
Drama Camp brought me here! And yeah he is the cutest from that movie.
Because most older people have been knocked around by life and know what's important. My Grandmother was the same way.
Love this video and his dear grandmother!
Ronnie is very talented. Love his story and he's so smart. thanks to his good looks, he became a model.
I love your grandmother!!!

Beautiful story. I think Ronnie is a model.
All of the young men in this series are gorgeous. Is that a prerequisite? Very enjoyable series.
Ronnie K always lives up to the impression I first had of him: one sweet guy.
Wow his grandma is so cool!!! I have a cool grandma too but she passed away, she already 80+ =(
Cherish your loved ones.

Great Story, thanks Grandma!!!!
I adore Ronnie. What an awesome human being.
I can just watch him talk for hours
such a beautiful story!
Ronnie is adorable
"She runs real fast and she runs real hard, she's the terror of Colorado Boulevard, she's the little old lady from Pasadena!" Go Granny go!
OMG I love his accent , and he is so cute !
Why do we give so much more concern about what our parents think than how we should be treated.
I was searching for playgirl then I found him and that leads me here. I am gay.
This is so beautiful!
Not a word about the poor boyfriend after he was thrust through the air. Did he flee? Did he stay to try and help you with mom? Did he end up spending the night still? Did she eventually accept him?
+1
It was so cruel to leave us in the dark like that. xD
Great video!!!!!!!!!

I was kinda wondering how things turned out with the bf. I'm guessing the bf understood about the excuse making. They were only 15.
Yay Grandma!

Note: All of that collective wisdom does come through at the end.
Well said

I just can not imagine being upset at your child being gay. I can not comprehend it...
i like his haircut is cool
what a cute story,,, sniff sniff

Mothers need to go to school before having children. All they worry about is what THE OTHERS(NEIGHBOURS) WILL THINK.
omg, he's from Eating Out: Drama Camp. ^_^
Do! A deer, a female deer
Re! A drop of golden sun
Mi! A name I call myself
Fa! A long, long way to run
So! You're gay!

He is gorgeous,
Ronnie sure is easy on the eyes!!!
THIS GORGEOUS GUY CAME OUT IN A PLAYBOY MAGAZINE. HE IS GORGEOUS IN THE PICTURES. AND HE FILLED HIS UNDERWEAR VERY BEAUTIFULLY BIG.
AWWWWW...
People of his grandmother's generation could learn a thing or two from her.
He is quite Beautiful haha ^.^
Ben and Ronnie Get It On (Make Me A Supermodel) fff
If he was that worried about being discovered, he wouldn’t have been hooking up with his boyfriend in the backyard
Grama like a boss
Wow, wake up call, we are all working toward our death, inevitably. Love, that’s a mega message. Wow 🤩
who else clicked on this video because they saw how hawt he looked?
