Very good last good ...........
Sorry for the teen girls, prout.
At my father in law’s ceremony when he died. Love it.
This was my friend and roommate's favorite song and he also played it as his alarm. He sadly passed away two days ago and i will forever come listen to this song as it'll always remind me of him. Rest in peace Othmane 🕊️🤍
Condolences, may he rest in peace.
May your friend Othmane rest in peace 🤍🤍Sending love to you Taha Ragoubi

It's crazy when a song has no vocals but you feel exactly what it's trying to convey
What is it conveying?
@@daan9211 Acceptance, repentance, admission, absolution, forgiveness, growth.
@@Lordofthecows Beautifully said.
I have no idea what its trying to convey but i do know that its mad good
Try some good old classical music. It's have the same effect with different methods. Or contemporary classicals, like Philip Glass.
I had this song played at my wedding ceremony, while walking with my husband among the guests. it was fascinating.
You had song named "true sorry" played at your wedding? Huh...
Congra...
@@MultiBejn yeahh... nobody understood because they are turkish and don't know english so they don't get it😂

Anyways congrats

This is what happens when East and West musical cultures come together through a heart of talented professional - a Melody, a Music. Before I only knew one trumpeter - Miles Davis, now I know trumpet is not dead. Thank you, Ibrahim.
I don't know why I keep on coming back to this. This makes me feel desperate and hopeful at the same time. Soulful and absolutely beautiful. Dear Ibrahim, thank you!
It’s Life ❤
"...Maalouf stopped to explain the genesis of the much appreciated song "True Sorry." Based on his puzzling dream of an aged man who shook hands, cheered, and apologized to people, Maalouf contextualized the song to blow dreamy melodies with a sense of regret, yet an air of sophistication."
Maalouf explained the story behind this song in his some concerts. Many nights he had the same dream about an old man. His name was unknown. He was knocking the some doors or ringing the doorbells over and over again, and then he was saying "I'm sorry." to whomever opened the doors to him. He was repeating that again and again. Maalouf had that dream for many times. Maalouf felt that nonamed old man's pain, regret, desperation and grief in his own heart.
This song is an apology letter which is written by that unknown old man and sent by Ibrahim Maalouf to us.
Thank you. Love to know these stories
It's funny how our perception of a song varies with context. The first time I heard this was through a video of a communist party leader talking about consolidating power in a powerful speech. Perhaps because of that, it always felt like a "rising from the ashes" tone
To the one who made me discover this track.. Listening to it one year later made me think of that chilling day.
You hugged me tightly and we stayed this way.. We did nothing but listening to Ibrahim Maalouf for hours.. It was one of the best day of my life. So thank You !
I was trying to find this song for HALF OF THE YEAR after I first heard it at Insomnia animation festival, Les larmes de la Siene. Then suddenly one evening my music app suggested this song in a random flow. I was standing in the middle of the living room, just crying of happiness, set aside all my chores. Thank you, Ibrahim!
Just discovered that it's true sorry..always read it as true story..
same here
Same I shocked when I realized that it's true sorry not story
lol wtf i'm really surprised.

Me too
A friend of mine from Turkey introduced me to Ibrahim and I can't get enough of his music. Masterful.
UN REGAL ! ! !
This song bring me tears everytime i hear it.

Reunited with my Vietnamese French cousin after 22 yrs and her partner played this song in a car ride to show me the mountains and the emotions this song made me feel left me speechless...how am I just hearing his music now for the 1st time?? So grateful.
Ça c cool big up ibrahim
Heard this on the radio during work in the car today, feeling very low lately. Stopping to listen to this on the first real sunny warm day out here was a amazing experience
I honestly think I can listen to this forever.
Finding myself listening to this song at new chapters of my life. And I always get emotional looking back to what has been….
How can someone dislike this?!! 595 empty people who don't recognize art and yet they were here!
Just watched 'The Seine's tears' which introduced me to Ibrahim's music.
Excellent piece Ibrahim, may you keep sharing your wonderful music.
I can't stop playing this song , ONE YEAR after , Monsieur MAALOUF merci.
Was on a business trip in Beirut this week and chanced upon this track playing at a hang out... this track hits the very center of my soul, and i cant get enough of it... amazing
Is there anything in this world more emotionally charged, wholesome and beautiful than this 💜
A dear friend of mine once sent me this song , from that day i felt in love with Maalouf and i understood his songs without words, i still miss that friend deeply & daily ,i don’t regret our friendship or whatever that was , but still !! evey time i hear this i feel that i owe someone an apology and after 3 years i discovered that i owe myself that apology . I am truly sorry Kamelia you deserved better , you deserved someone brave and at least care and definitely more handsome ,i am truly sorry to heart who kept waiting for a coward, and mostly i am truly sorry to my soul who was ready to do wherever it takes only to please someone who prefers to move on without even trying.
What a fusion... It joins continents and centuries in one breath.
Good luck in all that you do Ibrahim, you make Lebanon proud.
September 4, 2018. I came into contact with Ibrahim Maalouf's trumpet sound and am an instant devotee. LOVELY. He plays that horn like a flute or a piano for finesse. I never knew a trumpet could be so nuanced.
When I hear Ibrahim, I can't help but smile. For a long while I smile!
love it

I just heard for the first time this song. I cried
This amazing track gave me goosebumps all over. Sometimes music says more than words. Can't wait to see/hear you live one day Ibrahim!
i had the opportunity last October! I have never ever felt that kind of energy on stage! I never thought that kind of connection could be created with the audience... i was shivering all night! I do hope you will have the opportunity to enjoy his music live soon.

Sarajevo, jazz fest Nov 2014 as well, wow!
I was there. I think his concert lasted for 3 amazing hours. Hands down, one of the best shows I've seen.
I listened to it on the radio yesterday for the first time. Ibrahim is a genius!
Welcome aboard... have a nice trip on the feel train 😌
This song changed my life .
Seeing this guy during one of his concerts leaves some marks
J'adore tellement 😁
The life is beautiful when I hear Ibrahim Maalouf ! Thank you Ibrahim
Ibrahim's performance at WOMAD in July has left an indelible mark on my soul. I think about it all the time.

I am in awe. This piece is so beautiful.
love this, charming, powerful, soft, just music.
it's amazing how he sings through his instrument.
addicted to this tune....smooth and soft transitions 💕🎺
true sorry, true story, true love

It was, It's intense : it's a divine experience: you think your soul if flying ... with the soul of others people that were in the room. We felt so connected by the emotion ! It was a divine experience. Ibrahim took the time to talk to us, smile and he always was looking in the eyes of people who was there : this connecting was importante to him. He smiled a me, several times, like a kid so happy to share. I saw him on huge concert: he was the same. Talking to us, sharing personal feelings about the songs.
