It was a heart breaking moment, Batman KNEW he was still highly skilled but he couldn't trust risk becoming that desperate again. He knew his age had finally caught up to him. It honestly hurt me the first time I saw it.
It's a great song, rightfully deserving a place in pop culture. But some creative entities (read: Zack Snyder) have misused it to the point that when I hear it in a production, I get somewhat hyperfocused to see if it really fits. That's my problem, of course. But I think it is used well here.
After a dozen or so cinematic reboots of the Batman franchise, if DC really wanted to breathe new life into their films, they should do THIS. Instead of another origin for Bruce Wayne, just give us Terry!
@@Redrally I also heard that Batman and Robin was originally intended to be an adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns, but the studio wanted something more kid-friendly.
@Vulvasaurus Lix I love Zack Snyder but I personally believe he was a terrible fit for directing any of the DC movies. I personally don't believe he understands the characters and themes properly. So yeah, I've never seen the Snyder Cut and don't really want the Snyderverse. His greatest work was and still is Watchmen. As for Ayer - I am admittedly curious to see the Ayer Director's Cut of Suicide Squad. That movie was frustrating in how much trailer footage was left out of the final edit. 🤨
We've had what feels like dozens of people play Bruce Wayne, and not a single live action Terry. With how movies are nowadays, I'm not sure if this is a bad thing or not. I would love to see a Batman Beyond movie, but I would also be fearful to look upon it.
I heard that in the mid-2000s, they were toying with the idea of making a live action Batman Beyond movie, but went on to make Batman Begins instead. While I love the Nolan trilogy, I do wonder what a Beyond movie would've been like. Unfortunately, it's probably too late to do it now, as a lot of the "advanced futuristic technology" of the series is now commonplace.
Aquaman is strong and durable enough to withstand the pressures at bottom of the ocean, commands all marine life, and rules a nation with its own high tech army and mages. I'm not sure how a utility belt and cool car trump that...
In the superfriends aquaman wasn't allowed to use super strength because the higher ups didn't want more than one strongman so aquaman pretty much just talked to fish.

Because _Superfriends_ was a Hanna Barbara joint and they already had 'open sea' backgrounds from other shows and the one thing HB was good at was pinching pennies.
I am really glad your work is on UA-cam now!

Love the rendition of hallelujah that plays with this, it makes the scenes so much more impactful

THE DISTANT FUTURE…of 2019!😱
I have to check and see if there was a plague in the Batman Beyond timeframe.

The "future" when Reed Richards stops being useless, when comic book superscience becomes commonplace

And that is how Batman died... Rest in peace Kevin Conroy.

@Vulvasaurus Lix Or as the sarcastic jerks watching current events say, _"Guns don't kill people, Alec Baldwin kills people."_ 😉

That Hallelujah was incredibly poignant, well done.

That's not how pressure works.
Hallelujah? Never gonna listen to that song ever again.
