for some reason this song, and the way the lyrics are sung by Brian brings back nostalgia and summer feelings. Brian definitely knew how to make a song sound so sweet.
I know perfectly well I'm not where I should be I've been very aware you've been patient with me Everytime we break up You bring back your love to me And after all I've done to you How can it be you still believe in me I try hard to be more what you want me to be But I can't help how I act when you're not here with me I try hard to be strong But sometimes I fail myself And after all I've promised you So faithfully you still believe in me I wanna cry
The Beach Boys' harmonies laid the groundwork for so much in rock n roll, including Van Halen IMO. Where would Van Halen be without Michael Anthony's sweet harmonizing? They'd be much less.
@@benedettogee the harmonies would've been insane (in a good way, lol.) I'm just imagining if the story mode would've been similar to the Beatles rock band where it's separated by eras, years, or phases. Only in a perfect world would the beach boys rock band have existed. On a side track, imagine if instead of rock band 5, we got the beach boys rock band. That'd be pretty cool. Highly unlikely, but cool
the isolated version makes me cry 10x more than the studio version
Almost unbelievably beautiful.

Thanks for this
This was on Rock Band?
No, this was released as part of a boxset for Pet Sounds. Though if I'm correct, Pet Sounds was planned for RB but cancelled at the last minute.
@@rbstemswhen I was 13 I wrote to the creators every single day demanding Beatles and beach boys lol. I wish we got the beach boys so bad

How is that only the mono version contains Brian's lead vocals doubletracked?
