Hello there. a very nice study of waste pallets. Well done, congratulations. I watched with curiosity. We made a seat in the palette. The use of recycling is very nice. thank you....
Wow, lots of work Eric but it looks great. It looks like a really nice space to be in now. I like that you included an error because every project throws something that needs to be fixed! And as you say, that's how we learn 👍
Thanks Barrie! I can say honestly that the room is way, way more welcoming than before (not that hard though), so I'm very happy with the result! Actually, it's not the first wood wall I build, like this one, but I must admit I won't use pallet wood again: it was an interesting experiment, but the money you save using free materials is not worth the time you spend on prepping materials, at least for me.
There will be more videos of my renovation project, definitely! But I'm a slow worker, plus I'm obsessed with details, so I can't really say when the next one will go live. Please bear with me! 🙂
Thank you! My glove got caught in the belt sander. I was distracted, stupid mistake. Didn't look good, but luckily, superficial. Almost gone already... And the belt sander has a brand new drive belt :-)
HODYO Design Je parlais de l'aspirateur qui est connecté à la raboteuse. Ce n'est certainement pas un 25l... ? Merci pour l'info et bonne continuation.
The work time alone in this wall is insane and I admire you for that. But, these operations actually defeat the purpose of used pallet wood. You almost fabricated vertical parquett, not a distressed wood (which it is in a pallet) accent wall. Where I work, we have a real pallet wood accent wall installed, and it looks much different. The boards are left unsquared, only very lightly sanded (saw marks can still be seen), nail holes left in, different thickness and sizes (much bigger than yours) boards, of very different colors ... what you have done with very much work can be bought in sheets/tiles in home improvement stores (we have it in Bauhaus, I don't know Belgium stores, but there should be). It's like trying to make OSB at home. Yes, with enough determination it is possible - but it's available for decent money in the store ...
The goal of this video is simply to show that you can achieve a high end looking wood wall using free, aka pallet wood, materials. So technically speaking, it is a pallet wood, no matter how it looks, and it doesn't defeat any purpose :-) I agree that it requires some equipment and a lot of work, but it's been more a challenge for me than anything else. Plus this wall has now a story behind it, and it is unique, which is unvaluable. Many people use distressed pallet planks with lots of holes for wood walls. It's free, it's quick and easy to build, but in the end, it looks cheap. Plus you don't want to use rough pallet materials inside a house, especially in a bedroom like this attic. All the boards I used were cleaned up, and I discarded many of them due to suspicious stains.
That wall is just stunningly gorgeous!
Thanks a lot!
Looks absolutely amazing mate. I’ll be doing one of my walls like this
Fantastic job!!!
The end result was well worth all your blood (literally)), sweat and tears. Thank you for sharing this stunning with the rest of us.
Thank you, much appreciated!

Thank you!
Its crazy how much time and effort you put into the wall, compared to the floor.
There's more coming, I'm just too busy to edit videos. I love wood walls, but I'll never use pallet wood again. Too much work, I agree!
looks awesome !!!
Great job👍👍

Merci
Vous habitez en Belgique ?! Les travaux sont magnifique
Merci ! Et oui, je réside en Belgique !

@@HODYODesign I don't agree, but here's a thumb up anyways! The work alone is heroic!
