Raising a kid is not the same as being real man or woman and treating someone else's child as their own, anyone can raise anyone else's child just because there is a partner involved, so don't confuse the 2

i felt this. my dad was a alcoholic and left when i was 9 i haven't seen him in 8 years. i now have a step dad. to k, blood doesn't mean anything in some situations, i wish you the best 💕
My dad left me when I was16 he was an alcoholic too I have too worked to get food for me and my mom as my mom's health is not good it is an hard life 1year left in graduating I hope after I get a decent job situation will change

I felt this video so much, because I, myself, have a stepdad and have had one for since I was 4. I respect him more than my actual dad and am glad that other stepdads act the same with their own children.
I’m also going through this my dad left me and my brother 12 years ago we would visit but 8 years ago he said it was too awkward, I have my moments too when I miss him but my moms engaged and happy again and that’s all I care about you’re not alone and I hope the person who wrote this sees my comment
i relate to this, my dad left me and my sister when we wernt even 1 and my mum had to look after us on her own for a while, we would see him sometimes, then he left for 7 years and had a whole nother family (lots of kids) us not included, he didn't wanna see us anymore after that which made us sad, but my mum married my stepdad after my dad decided to be out of my life, , and hes been a better father to me than my own father could ever have been, but i still miss my real father sometimes /:

I relate to this on a deep level 😕my dad left me seven years ago my mum then meet my step dad and he raised me as his own then I lost him as well cause my mum and him split up 💔I’m getting stronger with out him I realised that I don’t need him I I have other people around me 😕my step dad will always be my dad in my eyes weather my mom and him are together or not x

I have a stepdad aswell, he also treats me like I’m his, he has since I first met him basically lol(I was 6) my actual dad, unlike this poor girl, has died(he died when I was 3/4) he served in the army and he died a hero so I’m not that sad to talk abt it, sometimes I’m rather happy ya know?? Anyways I hope this girl gets far in life xx belle 💕
I don't get how someone can just leave there own kid and start a new life with someone else. My mom did this to me and she has 1 daughter of her own & a stepson.
This hit hard im only 12 but im lucky my mom died when i was 9 a month before my 10th birthday, l had to leave for Italy with my dad leaving behind my sister and everything i knew but im glad i have a loving dad. for the people strugiling remember its hard everythings hard but things get better maybe not today maybe not tommorow but eventually we can make things better.....

This is 100% true My dad left me and my mom for his girlfriend daughter and son. It still hurts really bad.

I know just how you feel, my 'dad' lives in Florida and says he loves us, but I really doubt it,while my mom would take care of us, he would be cheating on her with other girls. Just know life gets better and that some people are better off with someone else. Since he's been gone my mom has accomplished so many things and I'm so proud of her and I love her very much! 🤞❤️❤️💗

This is mine----- when I was maybe about 11 1/2 my mom told me to live with my dad and I was okay with that because she said no matter what she would not mover and. Only took her 1 month to move 10hr away I cried because she lied to me it just hurt me so much and I was cutting and cutting we’re it was not notice able and I told my mom I want to die she said “your fine” and I cried and cried but I tried to kill myself but someone saved me and now I know life is to amazing to let go I am 3 years and 5 months clean and I am proud of myself ~ba

dear k, i know what you feel... my birth father left way before i was born. he mistreated my mother so many times, he came back when i was born but he also mistreated me as well. He is married and has kids now. my mother is really happy with my father. (the father i grew up with even tho we aren’t blood related) you’re right, it does take a real man to raise a child who isn’t his. he’s been a real father figure for 12 years and i could not be more thankful to have him as my father.
